EVERYTHING was going good with my Cataract Surgery on 10-19-23 at 11am--nice informative helpful people like Margarita at the front desk and Tabitha and Bridgette getting me ready for the wheel chair to go to the Surgical Room.......UNTIL I got to the Surgery Team in the Srugery Room and I had to lay down with my old bad stiff back...which I told them at LEAST 3 times) about 1) I was moved to a position WHERE MY HEAD was about a foot from the head cushion 2) I IMMEDIATELY told them I was uncomfortable and had to move which seemed to be a big problem for the lady adjusting my knees, she seemed bothered that I asked and after GOING OUT OF HER WAY it seemed to lift my knees and then announcing Thats It!, it wont go any higher (after adjusting it mechanically). 3) WHILE THIS WAS GOING ON, some young lady put on the Blood Pressure Wrap (I suppose) and when I looked at her surprised that she was doing this while I was trying to get comfortable SHE JUST KEPT ON GOING!.....4) After moving BY MYSELF (I was told to just lift my self up and move (with little or no assistance) 5) At 72 years old I tried my best ...6) Then (with no break in the action) THEY SEEMED TO BE IN A HURRY like they were running behind or something. --I found my LOOSE SHIRT was binding my neck and said I have to adjust my shirt down (to open it at the neck) and YOU GUESSED IT,I WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED! AND THEY pulled my shirt back at the neck and FORCED those patches under my shirt to my chest. ***NOTE: There was ONE kind soft voice coming from behind my head from a man trying to comfort me and that helped me calm down a little and touched my head to show some compassion--I could tell HE was a Real Professional and took pride in his job. 7) I was then informed THEY WERE PUTTING IN THE HAPPY JUICE or something like that 8) Then Dr. Dejean came and reassured me everything was ok and time for the surgery. .......I then woke up and my GOOD CARE that I was receiving at first before I got to the Surgery Room continued until I was taken out to the car where my friend was waiting.....I expected more, MUCH MORE from a facility that NOW CARRIES the Memorial Herman name...That time in the Surgical Room left me with a frustrated, even slightly disgusted memory of my otherwise joyous Cataract Surgery on Oct. 9th, 2023...But JOY OF JOYS I get to go back on Oct. 23rd 2023 and do it again. I hope it goes better than the first one. I admit though I am a little apprehensive of the upcoming experience I am going to go thru but now I KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT,just be ready for anything... I have some anxiety and a little nervousness but I know everyone does and I will get over it. I just dont know WHY the experience cannot be a pleasant experience. I have been to the Conroe Surgery Center (my wife and I several times) and nothing ever happened like this. This post in no way is intended to say anything negative about my Eye Dr. or HIS excellent care (he has taken care of my wife and I for 20 years) or his excellent team or office.

If I could give negative stars I would. My doctor was amazing but that s not what this review is about. I have had 12 surgeries and never had an experience like this before. I thought I was going to die. I could not wake up from surgery. It was a Friday and they could care less. All the nurse cared about was getting out of there. I have never felt so scared and alone in my life. My mom was crying. I tried so hard to wake up and they told my mom they overmedicated me because I m allergic to pain meds they had to give me something else. I was throwing up all over myself and I couldn t sit up and they were raising their voice for me to wake up. It took me hours to come to and I wanted to slap the woman screaming at me to get up. I literally thought I was going to die. No matter what I did I could not wake up fully and my mom had to keep telling me to breathe. It was the scariest thing I have ever been through and I ve had two surgeries since then on my shoulder with no problems AT ALL. They sent me home barely awake throwing up on myself. I will never go there again and I wanted to warn EVERYONE not to go there as I m telling everyone in the medical community as well. Worst experience of my life. Just go somewhere else. Rude as heck nurses don t care about your life they just want to leave.

Wanted to make sure to write a review because I had an amazing surgery experience (as good as it could be considering circumstances) with the team they gave me at MHSCC! From beginning to end, Margarita at the front had a patient, friendly, and positive attitude with all incoming traffic. Alexis, Pam, and David were also great. Even staff that wasn t assigned to me offered things & were quick to help anyone on the team complete a task. Well oiled machine, great vibes!

Rashitta was outstanding. Bethany was the consummate professional. Dr. Shrodkar is an artist surgeon 2nd to none. Great hands. God has blessed him with talent. The entire experience was wonderful.

Very RUDE! Not to mention EXPENSIVE! Will charge insurance the max and make you pay 20% regardless if deductibles met. Horrible experience. Definitely recommend going elsewhere.

June 2021. Two surgeries performed at Conroe Surgery Center. The billing department called me on the phone the two Thursdays prior to my surgeries to verify that my surgeon at the Conroe Surgery Center participated in Tier 1 maximum savings in my health insurance plan. Conroe Surgery Center billing department failed in informing me that US Anesthesia Partners was out of network. Hence, since July 2021, and because of Conroe Surgery Center failure in contracting out of network anesthesiologists, I would have never chosen Conroe Surgery Center for my surgeries. I wish I could go back and choose a different ambulatory surgical center. DO NOT get your procedures done at Conroe Surgery Center, you will face mishandled insurance claims.

I had cataract surgery at the surgery center this morning. The staff was amazing - they talked to me to let me know what they were doing and why, they made sure I was comfortable at all times, and everyone was caring and compassionate. I am actually looking forward to my next surgery in three weeks.

This is a wonderful facility. The caring empathetical staff goes above and beyond. Ashley, Dr. Aranibar and Laura were great at explaining the procedure and what to expect pre and post surgery.

The center called me one day ahead of my mom surgery and told me that only one person can stay in the lobby waiting for her since she is not able to see correct and gets tire very fast. On the day we arrive they told us that no one can stay to go down stair or to the car and wait. When explain to them the issue they didn t care and they were just passing down the issue. Lack of communication this center is the worst. I told them if they called me and told me what to expect why they can t honor their word but no they just wanted to act kind of rude. I wish I could give them a zero.

My husband had surgery here on Friday. The whole team was caring and compassionate. Shonni, Roshetta, and Anna (sorry if names are misspelled) were the nurses we dealt with directly.

We had fantastic treatment today at the conroe surgery center. Mrs. margarita up front was kind, caring, and patience with us going over paperwork and getting checked in. We had several others take care of us in pre-op but a huge shout out to Ms.Ashley in post-op she was extremely kind and patient while my S/O was waking up. She helped him with pain, made him laugh a little, and she really cared about her patients it shows.

It is scary watching your child go under anesthesia and have surgery. We felt the staff did a great job helping to ease our anxiety about this. What is routine procedure for a hospital staff is unnerving and far from routine for parents and patients, and the entire staff should be commended for remembering this and treating us with patience and care. Please continue to remember how daunting routine procedures are for patients and loved ones- you are doing a great job :-).

I had a superb experience which I contribute to Robin, my nurse. She was experienced, caring, friendly and I felt at ease. The anesthesiologist introduced hisself and was very friendly and thorough. My surgeon, Dr. Maggart has a great bed side manner and offered to say a prayer for me. My son, Derek, was allowed to be in the room with me while I was prepped for my surgery. I was given some medication to relax me. I wish I could review what happened next, but I don t remember a thing until I was in the car driving home. I had a question and called Ashley, my nurse that helped me after surgery, and she was also very helpful. I was very fortunate and blessed to receive the best care a person could ask for. Thank you Dr. Maggart, (Woodlands Surgery Group), Robin and Ashley for my excellent care. You guys and gals ROCK!!

Extremely well organized and immaculate facility. Nursing staff was top notch in both prep and recovery. They put my daughter immediately at ease (nervous parents too) and we heard them interacting with all of the other patients the same way. Super detailed and careful, very efficient, couldnt have asked for a better and more personable team of caretakers. Bonded with my daughter instantly and it changed everything about her mindset. Will definitely request this facility in the future.
