Pappadeaux was as expected. I ordered the Watermelon Mango Tangeaux and I definitely felt all of it. Our server was exceptional. We walked in and was waited on immediately. From entry to being seated was less than 4 minutes, which I can greatly appreciate. The crab & spinach dip was delectable. Between the dip and my drink, I was unable to finish my main dish, medium fried shrimp platter. The platter comes with 14 jumbo shrimp and a plethora of fries. I boxed up 10 shrimp to take home as thats all I could eat. Pappadeaux never fails me. I will definitely be back again.

Very disappointed with the service I received today.. First of the wait time sitting out in the hot car was ridiculous for just fish and fries for 2 no big complex order. Then when I got home after I was told by the lady that brought the order out that everything was in the bag only to get to my location 30 mins later and its no tarter or ketchup sauce in the bag REALLY..!!!! So now I get to eat my food dry Im not at home so I dont have any available to me at the time. I had to go to another food place to get condiments in order to not have to eat dry food.. This was very frustrating considering the price you pay at this place on top of that the bread i could have use as a weapon or was so tough and hard.. I literally could not bite it and had a tough time breaking a piece off.. Again ridiculous can the food quality match the prices your charging..!!! Tasted the fish and it is tasteless no season on the food at all.. This was a waste of time and money to say the least...!!!!

I brought my mom to the Conroe location for her 76th birthday. The wine was perfect and the food was delicious. Had Creme Brulee for dessert and it was stellar! Colton was our waiter and he is just the most precious soul! Very attentive and patient and helpful. Thank you for the great birthday experience for my mom Parking: Big parking lot, next door to Pappasitos so it does get pretty full on weekends. East to pull up and drop off anyone with mobility issues. Wheelchair accessibility: Up to date on ADA regulations and staff is helpful with doors.

If 6 stars were possible, this place would deserve it. Pricey, but worth it, with some entree options under $20. Atmosphere is genuine, food is delicious, and service is excellent. Convenient highway access, but the parking lot is almost always full - there is a drop off at the front (iirc), and a nice pergola / garden to shade you as you walk in from the back. Restrooms were clean enough and appeared accessible.

Lets start off with how the bread and whipped butter were lacking in flavor. Its nice to get free bread for sure but it was nothing fancy. We dropped some lemon juice in there and it instantly tasted better. The calamari on the other hand was loaded with flavor and some of the best we have ever had. Great job on the calamari! It was loaded to the brim of the plate. Both sauces that it came with were delicious. The Greek salad was okay, nothing fancy about it. I believe we had maybe 3 olives on it. It was a decent Greek salad and not overpriced. The steak on the other hand was way overpriced for what we received. It was cooked very close to what we asked so that was great. The 16 once ribeye was definitely lacking in flavor though and a little tough. It might have been choice grade which is unacceptable for $48. The steak for price is why I am giving a 3 Star. Nothing exciting at all. Funny enough the broccoli it came with was awesome and very well seasoned Baked potatoe was pretty good and had legit bacon. Loved the atmosphere of the place. The decorations are good. Its odd seeing so many people come into such a nice establishment with gym close on but I guess thats the change in times and not the fault of the restaurant. Dont know if we will ever be back as its very pricey for what you get. Wife was really hoping they would have lobster bisque. Very disappointed.

Went with another couple. Husband had the shrimp Poboy which he said was amazing. Lunch shrimp combo was more than filling. Friend (from Maryland) ordered the crab cakes and said it was some of the best shes ever had. Carlos, our server, was outstanding. One of the best servers I have ever had. Had a very disappointing experience here today. Originally had reservations for another place, but yesterday, I heard that swordfish was back on the regular menu so I canceled at the other place and made the reservation for us here for 3:30pm to celebrate my wifes birthday. After ordering appetizers and main courses, the waitress came back to let us know that there was no swordfish available and that two of us would have to choose something else. The dish was not an off menu item or even a when available menu. Its a regular menu item!! Told the family to go ahead and continue their meal, but I was not going to eat since trying to go elsewhere would mean waiting for a long time for a table. I figured a manager would come by to say something, and maybe it would put me in a better state of mind, but no, no maneger ever came by the table to show some sort of professionalism. Very disappointing. Even fast food joints send their manager to the counter when they run out of something.

We used to like this place/location, but it has gone way downhill the last two times we have been there. This last time, during late lunch, when the place was fairly empty, our waiter forgot about us. After bringing our food, we still had not been even asked if we would like waters (and did not have any) and had to track down a different waiter to get us waters. Our food took forever to come, but then was cold and the fries were soggy. Considering how much this place costs to have a nice meal out, its a bit confusing how they cant serve hot/fresh food. And our petty/personal gripes: at the end, after the headache of the meal, we planned to order a key lime pie for my husbands birthday, but canceled upon finding out it is 12$ for the one slice. (He is from FL, so we are used to good key lime pie and this was special, but just couldnt get over that price since weve had amazing ones in FL so often). Also, my daughter is a vegetarian and had always had Mac n cheese there (her favorite). They got rid of that on the menu and only had butter noodles to offer. Go somewhere else. There are so many great restaurants in the Woodlands. The nostalgia here is gone.

I eat at a Pappadeaux restaurant every time I come to Texas. Tonight Austin B. was our server and he was fantastic! He offered menu suggestions, was a great conversationalist and upon hearing it was my son s first time eating there, brought him a slice of key lime pie. Khayman our server was excellent, here s why. 1)I split a plate with my girl and I didn t ask for it to be separated yet he went above and beyond like a professional having it split without asking.(seems not important but it shows so much about the establishment and at the very least Khymans work ethic) 2) the guy was funny and relatable. If I leave super content then that s an instant star. 3) everything that was asked was done super quick, I didn t have to look for anyone which I ve had to before (I was in customer service and I hold people to the standard I worked at, this server worked the same as me) Review on the food is that the fried calamari/fried octopus/fried artichokes tasted light and fresh. Was done excellent and wasn t chewy The pasta I ordered because it was on the cover. I still left 5 stars I d let the chef know (politely)that to remove the overly rubbery chewing gum of octopus tentacles placed in the pasta, it has to be boiled for 1hour and 20 minutes to 1hour and 45mins(depends on the weight) Then grill it for 4 minutes each side(depends on the temperature) I brought this up because I was so happy with everything in the pasta except that. I figured if the fried octopus wasn t overly rubbery there d be nothing to review less than great. Right so the rest of the pasta was great. The crab was sweet and I thought about ordering just a plate of that. Serious mouth gold right there with the crab meat. Shrimp was tender Pasta was on the spot Al Dente Marzano Tomatoes changed the pallet so the next bite was just as enjoyable as the first. Sauce wasn t too heavy. P.S. in no way am I upset with the chef, figured I d just give a tip since it s on the cover of the menu (I d say sun dry the octopus but we aren t on a beautiful island so boil then grill) I ll come check out the same dish in maybe 6 months if it s still available and see if it s the same Thanks for a great meal. Edit: Still one of my favorites but they have reduced the portion size of their etoufee. Ive been going here since the 90s always order the exact same thing. This is a bit shameful as their prices go up and portion size down. I think pappas is better than this so Im a bit shocked. Original post: One of my favorite places in world. Biased perhaps being from Houston but this place serves some kind of magic potion or crack in their food its so flipping good. I feel bad for gordon ramsay and bourdain for whatever hipster is in their ear telling them where to eat in houston. They are truly missing out. Bourdain did a special in san sebastian spain. I used to live there too.bourdain went on and on about culinary and how san sebastian was best city in world. And no doubt the basques can do wonders in kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed dining at Pappadeaux (first time) that we came back again a few days later! My family really appreciated that the server instructed the kitchen to split a meal for 2 people without us having to ask. That stood out to us as top notch customer service. And even with splitting a seafood entree, the portion size was just right. It was the perfect amount for 2 people. The restaurant is enormous - we didnt have reservations for a Friday night so intentionally came late afternoon and even then, the place easily had 25+ tables already occupied. Within the hour, by 5pm, the place was easily at 75% capacity. I typically dont like crawfish but having tried Étouffée and fried crawfish here, I am now a fan! Pappadeaux just knows how to cook seafood right. The grouper and halibut entrees were executed to perfection - I havent had fish cooked that well in a long time.

We ordered the fried catfish poboy. It tasted so fishy, we couldn t eat it. Our awesome server promptly replaced it with the fried shrimp poboy and the floor manager came to apologize personally. However, the shrimp had not been deveined before frying, and had a gritty, sandy texture in every bite. The bread they were using for appetizers/poboys was incredibly dry, as well- almost stale. 5 stars for polite service, but the kitchen needs some serious improvements.

Great food, staff not so much. Father s Day at Pappadeaux can be hectic, but that s not an excuse for short tempers and lack of care. We got zero empathy from the hostess or the manager. We were trying to keep our table and just add one more table setting. We were open to squeezing 5 into a booth for 4, and they insisted on making us wait TWO HOURS. They placed 10 parties (with no reservation) ahead of us, because of the extra person. You spend over $200 at their restaurant and take the time to reserve you expect at the very least kindness.

Food excellent. Service even better. I was by myself and received the same amount of attention as the larger parties. The only negative was the almost constant sound of breaking dishes and glassware. It was very jarring.

First time there, was excited to try a new place. They denied me a drink for not having a Texas drivers license. Even after showing them my passport and other forms of government identification. Felt discriminated and managers and waiter was very rude. Needless to say I ll never come back or take my family here again.

We enjoyed our time here. They were very busy and on top of that, there was live music in the bar which sometimes kept the line at the front long. The food was delicious. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. The steak was cooked perfectly and all of the starter plates we ordered were delicious. It is a loud restaurant when full and we were at a round table of six so it would have been a little hard to hear across the table anyways. I would definitely return. Between us we ordered oysters, calamari, alligator tail, steak, salad and different seafood plates all of which were delicious!

I have always loved Pappadeaux. When I lived overseas, it was always my go to spot to stop when coming home. Idk if it s this location or not but I must say, the food was VERY underwhelming. Fish, gator, shrimp had no seasoning. The portion sizes were too minimal at this $ rate, especially since this place that sits near the gulf coast. (but inflated America). I m not going to say the whole franchise is terrible but I will say this location has not left the best impression. I prefer to visit Razzos than to come here again.

I dined here with family over the weekend. I received a complimentary appetizer email that I wasnt aware expired the previous day and the manager refused to honor it, even though I had a full party and an entree of meals over $100. I was billed for the appetizer as it wasnt honored. Not to mention I was celebrating a birthday. I was not pleased with the service here. Very disappointing.

We are a family who doesn t mind spending money on good food. We ve had yet to have a bad experience at any Papadeaux up until today. We paid a total of $225.32 at a restaurant with a roach. I m pretty disappointed.i have a video but I cannot attach it. We grabbed a team member to make him aware of it and he just stomped on it picked it up and walked away didn t say a word.
