I had the crossroads and it was so big i only needed one. And I always get the hillbilly queso with chorizo. The chips are so crispy and salty. Kathy got us more chips and was very warm and sincere. Her smile was much appreciated.

As someone from Utah, I was thrilled to discover Torchys in Conroe, Texas. We dont have anything quite like this back home, and it was an amazing experience! The tacos are incredibly filling just two are enough to make you feel completely satisfied. What truly made the visit exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly amazing and very hospitable, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. If youre in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Torchys for a delicious and fulfilling meal. You wont be disappointed!

I m done giving Torchy s a chance. Last time I was here, they lost my order, and I waited over an hour. & every time I went in, they were scrambling to find it, even after I showed them the order and my name. They kept sending me back even though my order was ready on DoorDash. After wasting SO MUCH time the food was sitting there on the counter .. Then when I went in today, the girl taking my order gave me a strange look when I told her I didn t want bacon or pork in my queso. And she told me none of their queso have pork in it.. I m like do you not know what chorizo consists of I m Muslim and even I know. Then there was a huge language barrier with the other staff working there. I don t mind if English isn t your first language, AT ALL but at least know the menu items & names, that should be mandatory for all staff cause the girl up front spoke perfect English and she didn t even know about the menu. I m starting to think they just hire to hire here.. Then of course, as always, they barely put any protein in our burritos. I got one steak taco, and it was literally all silver skin, and muscle with no meat at all. Had to finish the other bits of the taco like nachos with the chips. It s just not worth it for the price you pay. I m sticking to Qdoba at the military base. Attached a photo..

I was really shocked at how disappointed I was from the Torchy s at this location. Maybe it s just been a while since I ve been to Torchy s but they used to give you TWO tortillas with each taco order, and there was only 1. $5 for a little taco that s not even TWO in 1 was not worth it to me. Even more so since I ordered the fried avocado and it wasn t even fried it was just a cut avocado. Just hoping it gets better.

Drive through: After the last delicious taco yesterday, we came back for a second go today and ordered #1 no lettuce. Food came, and I brought it to the car. There was lettuce, hahahaaa. (I have crohns, so I have to be careful what I eat. I had explained before ordering) The staff was awesome and quickly replaced it. The taco I had yesterday was fab. I must have ordered a different taco today. Lol Ill try again someday. TBC!

Service was horrible. We were in the drive through for over 50 minutes and when we finally got to the window, they could not locate our Doordash order that we had paid for at this location. When asked to speak to the manager, she said he was coming and then she came back and said he was too busy and did not comp our order. This is the most poorly ran restaurant that I have been to. Very poor management.

We dined in at this location for the first time last week. We frequent various Torchy s locations depending on where we are, so knew what we wanted and expected consistency from our previous experience s. The staff was friendly enough, took our order, and we sat ourselves. Tables were clean, restaurant was well lit, and the iced tea was ready. The ice machine must have been broken or something because the ice was just sitting in a bucket with a scoop next to the soda machine. Chips and queso were delicious! We love the way they top it with a bit of diablo sauce, cilantro, and spoonful or guacamole! So yummy! The portion of chips they provide, however, seems to keep getting smaller, but they were fresh, just wish we had more. Not too big of a deal, but I guess either this location, or maybe Torchys has changed, but they put the sauce directly on the taco. Which would ve been fine except I asked for different sauce when I ordered and they didn t ring it or put it on the taco. I also ordered the trailer park trashy, it came normal. They young man who brought the food back did take it back to the kitchen for me and they corrected it, but they just took the lettuce off and added queso. Again, no big deal for me, but some people might have allergies to lettuce (I have a family member who is) and this didn t seem like the best approach. Ultimately, I did get what I ordered but had to ask more than one person. Still love Torchys and will likely return to this location when we re in the area! It seems like a popular location as it was fairly busy for 8p, so It seems other people love it as well.

They are obviously not Mexican tacos but they are really good Tex mex tacos. Its supposed to all sit on a bed of greens, they did a trio of pico and corn on one side, greens in the middle, queso fresco in the last. Thank you for laying out a few leaves under my queso. Wow. Torchys is my favorite! I eat here by far more than anywhere else, and I can say that their quality is extremely consistent. I dont know how they pull that off over such a long period of time, but the foods always great. On top of that, whenever I go I always look forward to seeing Katia, who seems to always be out taking care of people at the tables. She brings the food, and checks up on everyone, and she will even force you to let her clean up your mess! Shes so sweet and just makes you happy. And shes not the only one, they hire a lot of great people here. So on one hand, Torchys is another taco shop. But on the other, I dont know where youre going to get better, more consistent food and service.

Great food. Only reason i m giving two stars is because the food is great and the pick up was spot on. However, do not change the ingredients. Whatever you do, do not add, do not ask them to take anything off. Just leave it as is. Asked for a matador without the corn tortilla, cilantro and jalapeños. I got a fully loaded matador. Went inside to exchange, they still left the corn tortilla on and took off the pickled onions. Tried to exchange again and manager stepped in. I explained the same thing, Matador - no jalapeños, no cilantro and no corn tortilla. I got a brisket, cheese and a ton of sour cream. Did not bother going in for a fourth time. All around, great food, a little over priced, but don t f with the ingredients.

Gotta drop 4 on this one. Been frequenting this location since open. Last few online orders have been lackluster. Im generally patient even when an online order is not ready at the stated pickup time, but forgetting to include sauces that make the signature tacos is pretty much on par with not preparing them as ordered (which also happened - same order). I cant imagine what would happen if I signed a construction contract and told the owner, oops. I forgot to include a component clearly stated on the plans. Nevertheless, Torchys never fails in the flavor department. I only hope they can tune up the details and keep it

Always gotta go to Torchy s at least once every TX visit (or visit to anywhere with a Torchy s). One of Austin s finest food exports. Never had a bad taco, chip, green chili queso, or drink here. Always add potatoes to the Migas taco, and don t skip the tomatillo sauce. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are labeled. There are several veggie taco options, including a few of the breakfast tacos (served all day), the fried avocado, and the new MoFaux (Beyond Beef).

Great as always. Except today ... Unfortunately, Togo service has a whole lot to improve on at this location. We unfortunately sat and watched one of our bags of food sit in the kitchen for about 20 min. As families came and went. Bar didnt even have our Togo drinks in order. And we didnt get some sauces, including the salt on the side we asked for. (The ticket read the instructions, so its not the registers fault). Yes it was two separate orders, but dang... That shouldnt be difficult. They did drop the ball on this one. The manager seemed nice, but I would have liked more to have been done. We didnt really get a heartfelt apology if any at all. The food was delicious and the staff did a great job getting out the food and cleaning the tables! Kid-friendliness: My 9 month old daughter was getting hungry, so they brought her a tortilla while we were waiting for our meals.

Server katia is always so sweet and helpful. I always clear our table when done and i have to be quick or she will take care of first. When i clear she always makes a point of telling me thank you. Rich white people tacos. Overpriced, undersized, and softly spiced. Over $5 for a taco I could get elsewhere for about $2-$3 and as good if not better tasting. And the hottest sauce? Did they get it from the Taco Bell mild sauce packets? Only thing that got torched was my wallet and expectations.

Food is ok, I have only tried the tacos once have made multiple trips for their cheese alone. Cut way down on the salt on your chips and my 3 star becomes a 5

Kadia was very attentive and refilled our chips and took away our baskets for trash as we visited. Very helpful! Parking: During lunch rush it s packed in parking lot.

We eat here every week. The staff is friendly, but one of the servers, Katia, goes above the call. She is like our personal server; she knows exactly what we get and what we need. Great location and great service!
