So the fajitas were really good, the queso was average, but we decided to order some flan. Dont do that very often but we do love good flan. It was burnt, way overcooked. Add insult to injury, they flat refused to take it off the bill. Dont think Ill ever be back, 16.00 for two pieces of burnt flan? No, we can find many other places that will take care of customers better.

Absolutely loved this place! The food here is truly authentic! We had the queso flameado and molcajete which is big enough to share between 2 people. The steak, chicken, and shrimp in the molcajete were very flavorful, tender, and juicy! Definitely check this place out, you won t be disappointed!

My husband and I moved to Conroe in September of last year. We are looking for a restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food. We have tried other Mexican restaurants but they were just ok. We came upon La Pizca one Sunday afternoon I looked up the reviews and most of them were very positive so we thought we would give them a try. We told our server it was our first time here and what would she recommend. She suggested we try Molcajete Mixto. When it arrived at our table the presentation and aromas took us back to our parents home cooking. This dish was filled with so many wonderful flavors.! We were very satisfied with this meal and cant wait to go back and try the other food items on the menu.

This place is amazing! The staff and the customer service is top-notch! The food is always fresh and delivered tumely! Sofia, the manager, is a doll! Last time we went to our favorite Mexican Restaurant we noticed a new one nearby. For fathers day we tried this one. We were not happy with Yellow Margaritas. The salsa was too cold, and the green stuff was SO spicy that after 1 bite I had to ask for milk. Ive never before seen Shrimp Enchiladas and decided what the heck, why not? 2 bites in I could not continue, they were inedible to me. I hate wasting food or complaining. Growing up my parent and grandmother would find the slightest fault and throw raging cursing fits at the server. Neither ever worked in a restaurant. I have. I have been a server, I am now a Chef. Our server and the Chef can NOT be faulted for my weird food reactions. When our server noticed I was not eating and had moved my plate I was questioned politely and immediately offered something else. A menu was handed to me and I went with my 2nd choice. Portobello & Spinach Quesadilla. I was still trying to recover from the spicy green stuff and the Shrimp Enchiladas, my insides hurt and I was trying not to throw up. To be A VERY clear, it was me being me and had nothing to do with the food. I only managed to eat 1/4 of my delightful Portobello & Spinach Quesadilla and had to ask for a to go box and left. Our server and the lovely lady that assisted were EXCEPTIONAL! I ended up with 4 total meals from that Quesadilla. If I go back it will be for the 5+ star service and another Quesadilla. To both ladies I would say, I hope management knows what gems you both are.

La Pizca 9/10 Conroe on West Davis The location once known as Mannys BBQ is now La Pizca. A fairly extensive remodel to fill in the formerly inset floor and some walls have been removed to open it up. FOOD: A fresh salsa served with the chips. It may be too much heat for some people (like my wife) but I loved it. The queso was fine they dont offer queso blanco so youre stuck with yellow cheese. I had the Birria tacos which were good, the meat was tender and the tortillas were fresh. The sauce served with it was packed with flavor. My only preference would be for more of the sauce to be implemented in the frying of the taco for those crispy edges Wife had Quesadillas, she loved them. The happy hour house margarita on the rocks was loaded with so much ice you could hardly stir the drink. However the bartender can make a pretty good Top Shelf margarita. The food was good and the service was good, Ill definitely be back. Update: Cheese enchiladas are great too. Update: Good Portabella Steak

Everything has great flavor and sometimes unique flavors you may not get elsewhere. The staff is always super friendly and on top of it! The only thing I dont like is the credit card charge on the bill. Credit Cards are cost of doing business so just build it into the price, dont charge the customer a line item on the bill. After having owned my own restaurant and eaten at 100s, this is one of the few places Ive seen that does this and its frustrating.

Okay Conroe, y all have been hiding this restaurant! I just took my family to La Pizca and we are blown away with how good it was! As soon as we walked in I had a feeling it was going to be good. The decor and atmosphere are very nice and welcoming. You can tell someone really cared with the look of everything from the tables to the bar and to the lighting. We all ordered something different as well as an appetizer. I had the Pollo en Mole, my wife had the Ranchero Chicken and my some had the Chicken Quesadilla. My youngest tried the kid s chicken quesadilla. For the appetizer we ordered the Shrimp Empanadas. Everything was delicious! It is clear that everything was freshly made and with quality ingredients. Thank you La Pizca for a great lunch experience. We will definitely be coming back!!

The place is very cute and the food was good but an interesting experience. The servers were very nice, but our initial server had some issues getting things right. Got my husbands order incorrect and my daughters as well, and didnt really know how the meals are served when asked what comes on top. I got the Chile rilleno, which was good, but the cheese inside was not melted. The quesobirria was delicious, tender meat, and good flavors. Note: they charge a service fee if you use a credit card, but they dis not share that until they already charge you. We will come back and hopefully the service will be a little better.

My wife and I love trying new Tex-Mex places, and we kinda regret this one. The cheviche had good flavor, but the texture was as if it was left out and lost its moisture. I got the beef fajita enchiladas, and all I can say is that they were mediocre... not the worst, but not the best. My wife tried the Asado De Boda, and well, it was nothing like she was expecting from the description. It was in her words the consistency of dog food; she couldnt finish it and threw it out once we got home. So yeah, none of what we got was worth the $50+ price tag. And definitely not considering coming back. I will say the atmosphere and staff were awesome, though!

I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed everything about this newly opened Mexican restaurant. We were a party of 10, which can sometimes be challenging for a waiter or waitress. Our waitress managed to correctly get all the orders (even when a couple of guests changed their mind) and served the meals as ordered. Everyone in our group was pleased with their food. Didnt like the salsa. It is a unique take on salsa but we didnt enjoy the flavor. My chicken & shrimp cascabel didnt taste like it was cooked according to the description on the menu. I couldnt taste the garlic butter sauce at all. In fact, I think it was cooked in a mole. The tortillas looked fresh made but needed to be cooked longer (tasted raw). My wife didnt like her chicken enchiladas. The verde sauce was good and so was the queso.

Went for lunch with a friend, she had the chewy beef fajitas and a pina colada. I had three mini fish tacos which were supposed to come with rice and beans, oops no rice. I ordered a house margarita on rocks with salt. I went to take a second sip and it wasnt there. The glass was filled to the brim with ice, no margarita. The waiter ask if I wanted another and I told him I didnt get my first. He informed me it wasnt his fault. Two drinks there today, my first and last and no concern shown by the wait staff. Ask if I thought the me was worth $70.00. I wont be back. Too many great texted restaurants in the area. I dont see a bright future for this place.

My family and I ate at this establishment Friday night. We were in and out in a hour. Our waiter Jose was awesome! We never had to ask for refills on drinks. This place has a great atmosphere and the staff are very sweet. The chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. The chicken flautas were great, and my boyfriend loved his beef fajita nachos. The ceviche was just ok. I will definitely be back to try the birria! Edited 5/7/23 to add: the birria is delicious! 100% recommend!

Newly discovered, very nice restaurant with great food! Seating available indoors and outdoors. Staff are very friendly and you never have to ask. They are there to ensure you have a great experience! I was told by the manager that the food is prepared fresh every day. You will not eat from last nights leftovers!

Great food! Music is a bit loud which causes other to try and talk louder than the music lol Staff was friendly. The food was delicious and freshly made. My only complaint was waiter reached over our food and drinks. But thats just me being me I guess lol Other than that an overall great experience. Will be back!

The atmosphere was nice, and service was great, Margaritas were a 10/10. The food however leaves a little to be desired. We got queso which was good I ordered the Chili Relleno shown in the picture the flavor was perfect as was the coating, the chili was just a little too undercooked for my liking. The charros beans had an ok flavor but the bean was still a little al dente, as for the rice it really didnt have much flavor. My husband had the steak and shrimp which was very good, but he too had the same thoughts on the rice and beans. Over all we will try again atleast for margaritas and queso

Ceviche mango habanero Hands down the best ceviche in Conroe. If you like some heat, this is perfect... if you dont, habanero pieces are easy to pick out . The drinks are good...our waitress Jasmine was very friendly and funny. Wish they had a bigger menu... definitely my top Mexican restaurant in Conroe now!

I have been here twice now and have had their happy hour house margaritas both times ($5) and delicious! Tonight I tried some enchiladas with green sauce and it had great flavor. The food was nicely plated. The service takes a little long but everyone was friendly and helpful the entire time we were there.

Wow , this place is awesome! Both my meal and my boyfriends meal were unique and different yet delicious and fun to eat . Let s face it in Conroe tx there is not a lot of exotic dinning and this could definitely be called that , still with basic dishes for the picky eaters . All the staff was friendly and fun to chat with , I highly recommend if ya like Mexican food and looking for different. We will be going again and can t wait

We tried this place for our First and LAST Time. My wife asked if the green sauce on her Chicken Enchalata was spicy, was told No but it was Very Spicy. Neither one of us got our beans with the meal. Our waitress was very slow. and Not Attentive .. THEN THE ADDED ON FEE AT THE END BECAUSE I USE A CREDIT CARD..WAS UNCALLED FOR. SORRY YOU LOST US..

We loved everything about this hidden gem. We started with chips, salsa and queso. The salsa is excellent and a little spicy. The queso was far above the average queso. You could taste the different cheeses and added pico. We had the Molcajete Mix on the appetizer menu as our meal. Im so glad we did! It was delicious with grilled beef, chicken, shrimp, mushroom, onion, bell pepper, grilled cheese and nopales (cactus) in this scrumptious garlic, butter sauce. All served in a giant, very hot, stone Molcajete. This dish was served with 2 plates of rice and beans along with guacamole, sour cream, pico and the best homemade corn and/or flour tortillas! It was plenty enough for 2 people and we took some home. We loved the decor and they even have cloth napkins. Rob, our server/bartender was knowledgeable, engaging and attentive. My only disappointment was the small size of the slice of chocolate cake for $10.00. This place will soon be the go to Authentic Mexican restaurant in Montgomery County! We are delighted with our great find!

I have driven past this restaurant for a couple months and always notice the FULL parking lot! Went in for lunch and was greeted with a friendly hello. We ordered a combo with grilled shrimp, beef and chicken, a long with grilled cheese! It was absolutely amazing. Homemade flour tortillas was the icing on top to a fantastic meal. This place is definitely a winner. Come on down, yall wont be disappointed.

My friend and I went for lunch today, we thought the restaurant was clean and decorated very nice and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Our waiter was excellent as well. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the food. The chips were not served warm ( of course that is just a personal preference) my friend ordered chicken tacos and said they were not seasoned and had no taste. I ordered the chicken flautas, they were good, but the chicken did not seem to be seasoned? We both had rice and beans with our meal and I can honestly say we couldnt eat the rice, it was bland, gummy and had no seasoning. I hate to leave bad reviews especially as this is a new restaurant but we were both disappointed in our meals and really would not consider giving the restaurant another try.

The salsa had ok heat, but was so bland. No flavor. It was as f they put 1 can of tomatoes in with 5 gallons of water. It was not edible Tried the tomatillo salsa, it was not any better. We had the enchiladas but the chili sauce was very runny. Would not recommend this place or ever come back again.

Great first dining experience! We loved the atmosphere. The chips came out hot and crispy. The homemade pico/salsa was great but too spicy for me. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with the salsa verde and it was really good. The chicken was fantastic. My husband ordered the steak fajita nachos. The fajita meat was tender, cooked to perfection and had an excellent flavor which made the nachos really good! The food came out quickly and our server was fast and attentive. Overall an excellent experience! We look forward to coming back soon!

Better than El Bosque i think!! Just ate there today and everything was delicious Loved the enchiladas suizas with the rice and beans. The carne asada tacos tasted like they were cooked outside on charcoal grill which my husband loved. The sweet tea was also good and Im picky with me sweet tea. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

This is a great place to go and very conveniently placed. I was able to pick up my packages at the USPS nearby and get here very easily. Personally, I enjoyed a Stuffed (Fajita Chicken) Bell Pepper with a sides of rice, beans, the usual toppings, and a coke. My drink was never empty as they are extremely attentive and helpful. If I head back up to Conroe again I would happily eat here again.

Our family visit this restaurant for the first time since it s brand new and Conroe on March 4 our server Genesis was the sweetest server ever and very knowledgeable about the restaurant but the food was horrible. And the prices were very disappointing especially when they charge for jalapeños our receipt had two different prices. They charge you one price if you pay cash and they charge you a different price if you pay with your debit card I think that is ridiculous. I only see that a gas station is that restaurants. The owners of the restaurant were sitting in a corner behind us. They walk right past us, and never spoke never said I m only word just walk right past us I think if you re new in town if you re trying to gain establishment, you could at least speak and acknowledge your customers but that s OK. We won t be back.
