Very good burgers. I have the mushroom onion Swiss burger with tater tots. My partner has the jalapeno burger with chili cheese fries. Combos average $15, plain patty is $5. Total for 2 us around $42. Shakes are about $7 if you want that.

One of my favorite new burger places. I love burger fresh, and I love honey bee ham in the Woodlands, but Hippo Burger is one of my new favorite Burgers, so far Ive had the Avocado Burger and it has been fantastic the fries are great the service is good the environment atmosphere is peaceful. I recommend anyone that wants a good burger to go to Hippo Burger. I am going to do my very own experiment and see which one is the best in my book. For anyone thats reading this I suggest you do the same thing these three places especially Burger Fresh and Hippo Burger has by far been the best burgers in conroe. Vegetarian options: I dont see too many vegetarian options except for salads, but still this is a burger place that will not disappoint if you are vegetarian I dont recommend you go because you might not be vegetarian anymore.

Atmosphere and service was good! I bought the combo #1 Sweet potato fries was very good, but the main item. Burger was dry and tastes like cardboard!!! We had two combo burger meals, which came out to about $30 bucks. Very pricey For a hamburger!

Great food but they took forever. It was just me in line at the drive through and they messed up my order after waiting forever. I was way down the highway when I noticed. It s all good. Great burger. Everything about it was flavorful. Very tasty patty and the bun was perfect. I thought it ll be soggy because of the plastic container but no. Great texture and held together while eating on the run. Definitely coming back.

I was very satisfied over and over again. I was dripping with sweat while sitting in my car eating with my eyes fixed to the sign of our glorious leader the hippo. Decided to try this place since it was new in Conroe! Prices are super high but in the end worth it for the quality of food you get. 1 Combo for burger (big burger should I say), fries, and a drink was about 15 bucks. 6 fried mozzarella sticks with marinara was 11 bucks. Burger was ginormous and the Cajun fries were pretty good, as well at the sweet potato fries. Besides the price, good experience 9/10 recommended! Parking: Lots of parking and space for a long line!

Burgers taste like there is no seasoning on them. Literally added a full salt and pepper packet per burger to make it not taste or smell bland as hell. My combo of a single patty burger with cheese, bacon and jalapenos(and garlic fries), cost me $17.42. I think that for the cost, the food should be better. Edit made 7-16-24 - forgot to mention, the burgers are half pounders. It is quite likely that the sheer volume of hamburger meat is the reason that it didnt taste like it had seasoning. Its definitely a large burger.

I got a burger with bacon and jalapenos all the way, sweet potato fries. Burger was big and really good, bacon was excellent and surprisingly thick and crunchy. Sweet potato fries were remarkably crispy and perfectly seasoned. Not exaggerating to say the best sweet potato fries Ive ever had. Been to this place about 5-6 times since it opened in conroe, and for a burger place, its good stuff. Been fresh everytime, just dont expect a McDonalds drive thru time. They make it fresh, at least everytime for me, and hasnt disappointed. Fries are good, and the chili cheese fries are even better. Fresh ingredients and thick bacon. Definitely recommend over any normal burger joint.

Order online and picked up through drive through. We got 1 Hippo Mishroom Burger 1 hippo mushroom chicken Burger 1 Cajun onion rings 1 Cajun garlic fries. The order was ready when I got there. Food was hot and fresh when I got home and I live about 20 minutes from there. All the employees seemed excited and enjoying their jobs. This community it s hard to get really good fast, fresh food, and employees that look like they were enjoying their jobs. Burgers were huge. I ate all of mine, which was the chicken but the other person put half of their up. Definitely will be back amazing as well.

Went through the drive thru. Me and my significant other were looking for a new place to try and we found Hippo Burgers. I had the #13 bacon cheese Hippo burger and she had the #6 mushroom burger. After taking it home we noticed a few things, it smelled great and the sweet potato fries did not get soggy. The buns are toasted! and they sauteed the onions. Our burgers were juicy and tasted delicious. You bet well be coming back.

Not bashing but def not a place to go when in a hurry, fries that are seasoned are way over seasoned and slightly soggy but could differ day to day or batch to batch burger was fair no complaints but not 10$ happy about it neither. Mug rootbeer was also flat at least today 16.49$ for a simple burger and fries needs to be slightly elevated. Ps to owners burger containers to go should have holes to vent so heat and steam doesn t create the soggy bun overall decent eat but not worth the wait or $ to me.

Food here is freshly made. You can tell patties are hand made and theyre very thick! The burger was about the size of my head. They are not shy with the burger toppings. I got the mushroom burger and it was delicious! Also tried the Sriracha burger and it had a kick but still good. I wish they had their Sriracha sauce avaliable for dipping. Very friendly service and pretty quick. My husband had the hippo cheese burger with garlic fries and a mint chocolate chip shake. I had the childrens cheese burger with sweet potato fries with ranch. 1st time trying this location. We would normally visit the Jersey village location. I would have to say overall, it was okay. You walk up and order, and the service was good. They have a wide selection. Seating is pretty decent. The fountain drink area was super dirty, and spilled coke on the floor hadnt been cleaned. Wasnt a good look. Tried the Jalepeno burger, and fries and the burgers were really tasty and filling. Fries were fresh and good. Also tried the order of wings, and these were nothing to brag about. It tasted like frozen wings you get from the grocery store, so I wouldnt get those again. Like I said, they have a good selection, so Id go back through the drive-thru and order to go rather than go inside. Id say its good to check it out and try.

Hand formed patty, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Nice bun, fresh and tasty. Really good onion rings, old school style. It took a while for the order to come out but they were slammed and very busy. The dining area looked clean but is small. I took mine to go. The parking lot is very small and other vehicles will park right on top of you, making it difficult to get back into your car. Next time, I will either go through the drive thru, or park in the grass. Parking: small parking lot with small spaces.

I used to order from the location in Willowbrook all the time. I was thrilled when I found out they were coming to Conroe. Their burgers are so delicious and fresh! Their Cajun fries are my favorite. ( They just opened not too long ago ) - They dont have pricing on the menu - So I was caught off guard when sweet potatoe fries was $1 more. - I then changed my order to a Crispy Chicken Sandwich Combo with regular fries ( Medium ). - Was about $17 for the combo. - I was handed a small drink. Guess thats what they consider a Medium. Now this is where it gets good... Came here on Monday around 8:30 pm, We arent sure of what time they closed but online it said 9 and I felt bad! but then we saw other people coming and we didnt feel bad as much anymore lol, But the food was SOOO DELICOUS ! 10/10 , The staff was so nice and then the managers were nice too. My daughters loved the chicken strip basket. I know a lot of people are complaining about the price but I mean you guys pay that much at whataburger ! Hippo Burgers you won our heart! especially with the Onion Rings! money well spent for us. The service was great and the staff was friendly. Food was very good. Loved my Sriracha burger. Garlic fries were ok would be better if it was a garlic butter or sauce instead of just minced garlic. My husband got mexican burger with a grilled chicken breast instead of burger patty. He loved it and said he would definitely order again. The burgers were very big and filling. OK there food is pretty good but it seams to be missing some pizzazz for the price.. and the sandwiches were wet I dont know if it was to much sauce or the veggies were wet. Also to any management fries have to be crispy, especially if they have toppings... the garlic fries can come off the menu a tablespoon of minced garlic ontop of floppy fries..not very good... all that being said. I came today for the grand opening. Not much changed from the inside from when it was Rodeos. Maybe the paint color. Restrooms are clean but a lil scary like most public restrooms are. Other than that, I ordered the hippo burger with no onions and got the free side of cajun fries (only today for the grand opening) the burger was served FRESH. it was very hot and very delicious. The patty is a bit salty for my liking but it was still very good. The fries were okay, nothing spectacular about them. I will definitely be back for more burgers!
