I was skeptical of this place because you can t smell the BBQ/smoker when you drive by it, so I decided to at least try it and see for myself. When we walked in, there were flies everywhere. The staff were not friendly/didn t welcome us in. It was very awkward, but we proceeded anyway. The bathrooms were disgusting and had no toilet paper or paper towels. When our food was served, it tasted like store-bought, prepackaged food. On top of that we were not offered any extra BBQ sauce and they did not have any at the tables. It was very expensive and not at all worth what we paid for. You could get better tasting BBQ for a better value at HEB about 30 mins away. It would be worth the drive.

I hate leaving poor reviews but Ive tried this place twice and wasnt impressed either time. Their prices online do not reflect in store. When we arrived the restaurant was so so smokey it burned our eyes and stayed like that the entire time. The guy up front was short on the phone and borderline rude when we ordered. We ordered a loaded potato,a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a kids meal. The fountain machine was broken so we ordered 2 sodas in a bottle. The total was over $50 which was surprising when comparing prices online. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. The potato salad and coleslaw didnt get eaten. They were bland and looked as bad as they tasted. The potato was actually good but much smaller than most places with similar prices. Honestly the best part was the nuggets in my kids meal. Now that I think about it, the kids meal includes a drink but we didnt get one since the fountain was broken. I really hoped it would be better the second time around but we were disappointed for sure.

Been coming here for years but recently it has gone downhill.Stop by today for 2 plates. Definitely not worth the $20.oo they charged per plate.Brisket was hard and not cooked.Sausages werent cooked good extra chewy . Only good was the potato salad and the beans. But come on, how can your sides be better than your meats.smh.Will start looking for another bbq place next time.

While in tx visiting my father we wanted some good BBQ. After looking at some reviews we decided on JACKS BBQ. Had a family of 5 adults and 2 kids we ordered 3lbs of meat (brisket,sausage and chicken) coleslaw potato salad onion rings and fried pickles. It was The perfect amount of food Jack was awesome very helpful food was delicious brisket was nice and tender sausages was just right! Not cheap but not crazy expensive either!! definitely worth the try

Not what I was expecting. I paid almost $ 19 dollars for a 2 meat with 4 slices of brisket and 2 ribs with potato salad and coleslaw. Plate came as described, no pickles no bread no utensils. When I walked in they didn t greet me or smile , they asked what I wanted didn t offer anything else didn t ask anything about my order. Food was bland , very dry and cold by the time I got home (7min away) they drizzle a little bit of bbq sauce so I go to taste the meat better and no flavor at all. Am not 100% sure but the texture and flavor of the sides feel like store bought and not made at the restaurant. When the product is good the price doesn t matter but this was not worth the price and visit.

So glad we finally walked in there for lunch , I had brisket and ribs with fried okra and tater salad . The whole plate was $16.50 , I think that a good price for the amount of food I got . Everything was perfect the tater salad was one of the best I have had , okra was crispy and fresh . The smoked food was great . This is going to be a regular stop for us . This is the best barbeque Ive had since moving to the north Houston area. We had the loaded baked potato which was incredible! The owner let us try his ribs and peach cobbler which were equally fantastic. The owner is awesome and the service was great. My wife and I are moving to Cut and Shoot in a few weeks and this is going to be our go-to place. I recommend it to everyone.

Its a shame we cant go higher then 5 stars. I would definitely give more then 5 if I could. My brother and I went there today. Ive been wanting to try it forEVERRRR! I was NOT disappointed! His bbq is every bit as good as my oldest brothers. I had the 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs with beans and potato salad. I took a bite of the ribs and my reaction was: OH MYY! Jack heard me and came out to talk to us,lol. He said I heard an Oh my? Lol. He talked with us for quite a bit. On a side note,his potato salad does have onions in it....Im not a fan of raw onions but Im VERY impressed with his potato salad. You HAVE to try it! Clean. No lines (when I visit, usually about 3-4 p M-F). Super stuffed baked potato is awesome! Staff are friendly. Would be more regular but location isnt covenient for me. I do make special trips just to get my stuffed potato though! If they have cobbler on the menu, regardless of flavor, get it. You wont be dissapointed!

Jacks is a hole in the wall on Hwy 105 between Conroe and Cleveland that serves the absolute best BBQ around. The brisket is done perfectly as well as their ribs and pulled pork sandwiches. Came from Wisconsin looking for good Texas pit BBQ. Travel all over for good q. Been to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, GA, AL, KC, and OK. This place exceeded expectations. My wife and I ordered take out from here last night. Simple order, hamburgers and sliced brisket. When we got home the burgers were so over cooked it was like chewing on a tire! The tots were burnt, and she had maybe 8 fries? We asked for the brisket to be dry (no sauce). But yet there was so much bar-b-q sauce on it that we couldnt taste the meat! Im all for supporting local businesses, sorry to say I cant do that here. My husband ordered the loaded baked potato but the only thing it was loaded with was butter for $10.50. I ordered the rib plate which came with 3 little ribs beans and coleslaw the ribs were okay, not anything to rave about and it looked little a childs plate for $14.25. If youre looking for more bang for your buck this is not the place to go. When you go to eat BBQ you expect to leave so full they should roll you out the door. Needless to say Im still hungry. Always quick, friendly service. Always clean. Cool they have a pool table now. Food is amazing. I drive 30 min out of my way to get their food. A little pricey, but always worth it!!!

I really enjoy BBQ; Brisket, sausage, et cetera. But it is the ribs that I use to determine how good a BBQ joint is. Jacks BBQ has some of the best, fall off the bone ribs I have ever had, and that is about the only thing I order from there now. Now my wife is not a ribs fan (but I still love her) so she orders the brisket and sausage and says they are excellent. Their BBQ sauce is good, but a bit sweet, and their potato salad is also good. The atmosphere is such that you feel like you are in a mom and pop joint, but then, it is. The only bad thing I can say about them is I dont live close enough to enjoy them more.
