Wow! If you havent tried this spot you are definitely missing out! Fresh, delicious food at a good price! Cheese enchiladas, a family recipe, were the best weve ever had! Breakfast tacos were fabulous! Going to try the taco salad next! They look so good!

Ordered Migas tacos and not only were they the smallest tacos I have ever seen, there were no peppers, onions etc in the Migas... Eggs, cheese and tortilla strips is not migas. Regular size stapler for comparison. Mi Familia Coco Loco taco is probably 3x the size and has proper ingredients if you are looking of a good taco

Delicious food. Expensive given you can get 10 tacos back in San Antonio for the price of, like, 3 of theirs but thats College Station for you. Its worth it though because we keep going back those complaining about the salt are confusing because I hate salty food and the food here is not salty. Maybe theyre confusing actual flavor for the bland food Mexican restaurants serve around here that the gringo college students like, idk.

We had them cater a Christmas Party at my company- everything was PERFECT! Everyone commented on how wonderful the set up was and how delicious the food was and we ordered for 40 and still had leftovers they sent so much. We had fajitas beef and chicken with beans and rice , salsa , guacamole, cheese and chips. 10 out of 10 recommend Sal s Garpez

Unfortunately didn t even get to try it. Walked in about 25 minutes ago with no service at all. The place was hot. No one was getting serviced. Sat for way too long with no menus, no drinks, no service. When the lady came to take our drink order she never came back. I have two small kids that were hungry. This was absolutely ridiculous. We eventually got up and left because we still didn t have drinks.

Another great local taco place! Of course they have more than tacos but thats what I usually order. They started out at the gas station (which is no longer there) by the Cinemark but they have been at this standalone location for a few months. Ive never been disappointed coming here and I hope they keep up the great food and service!

Service was nice, but the place smells sour inside. Dont recommend the following: chorizo and egg - had no flavor. Didnt taste or look like chorizo. Chicharron Taco was undercooked Green salsa was all spice and no flavor. Tortillas were good, homemade. Red salsa was good.

The tortillas were actually all right considering that they are handmade. As far as the filling I had chorizo and egg and potato tacos and my kids had potato egg and bean and egg tacos. The consensus was that there is sometimes not enough in the tortilla itself and that the taste was kind of bland. The salsa that came with it was good though and we also ordered some chips and salsa which was also good. All in all I would say that these are decent breakfast tacos.

It was a great lunch. The chicken enchiladas were hot. The cheese was excellent as it stretched making a possible mess. The chips were thick and held whatever you dipped them in. We both ordered combo #1. She had the cheese enchiladas and barrack beans. I had the chicken enchiladas. The rice was tasty. The baracho beans were bit to much jalapeño in them. The service was very friendly. We will return for a breakfast soon.

Friend told me about this place after talking about breakfast tacos last night. Been featured in Texas Monthly and on ESPNs GameDay. Went early and there was already a line at drive through and a few people in line inside. I ordered the barbacoa on recommendation, and the usual potato, bacon, and egg taco; carne guisada, bean, and cheese taco, and tried their chicarron and egg taco. Barbacoa was very good. Not greasy at all, but very moist and flavorful. Even better when you added onion and cilantro. Was a little disappointed in their green sauce. The chicharron was by far my favorite. Soft but still had a slight crunch. The salsa they used to cook them in was very good. Wasnt a big fan of their tortillas or else this would have been a 4 star for me.

We have heard good things about Garpez, but after finally trying for the first time, we were underwhelmed. The migas taco was very bland and we had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes in a parking space for our order.. we had ordered a side of queso and were told that its prepared only when ordered.. but it turned out to be melted Velveeta with nothing added to it. A far cry from queso imo, and the chips were oily and in between crispy and stale. Positives: good tortillas, kids liked their bacon and egg tacos.

Please whoever is doing the cooking, turn down the salt! My Tacos, my rice and beans were so salty that I did not finish my food. Bring back your home made salsa you used to have and bring in some restaurant style chips because yours are to thick and greasy. The amount of money you are charging for the amount of food you are giving to your customers is to high. You even charge extra for a very small amount of chips that are so greasy and only give a tiny little dish of salsa with it. We have been going to this little place for many years and loved it, but unfortunately things are not the same any longer and we will no longer eat at this place.

We sat on hold for 13 minutes listening to the staff gossip after telling us hold 1 minute while we drove up there hoping to save time. I will never spend my money here again. My first time eating here in a while really good authentic food. I went back to purchase food today purchased 6tacos asked for salsa was given 3red salsa an 3green salsa for 6tacos so i asked for 2extra red salsas was told its a .20cents charge no problem but the pregnant lady attitude was so horrible i changed my mind it s one thing to have a ugly attitude outside of work but to work in a establishment dealing with customers an having a snobby attitude is another thing.. Sal would have never treated his customers the way i was treated today. May he R.I.P.

Rated best breakfast tacos in BCS! And they live up to the reputation Warm house made tortillas, filled with sausage, bacon, potato, egg, cheese, carne guisada, chicharrones, you name it. Personally, I go for the huevos rancheros. Chips and salsa are delicious for breakfast, and the salsa verde is on point. Service is fast and friendly. Reasonably priced.

I love Garpez....everything is homemade even the chips are fried their in the facility. Their quesadillas are amazing as well as their homemade breakfast tacos and enchiladas. We frequent Garpez regularly, I notice many of the comments here are in relation to the Gas station rather than the mexican resturaunt. The food is awesome and consistent. If you dine in you also get free chips & salsa. I also see someone saying its hard to mess up mexican food....i beg to differ.
