Love this place. The food is good but the service is outstanding. We went here for my sisters brunch awhile ago, the servers were so nice. We had gotten a soda to go with brunch and when we got to our table and tasted it thought that the syrup on their machine was running out. We casually mentioned it to the server when we asked for a cup of water, and he came back with all new drinks and thanked us for pointing it out. Super great service and they really do go above and beyond.

After driving through College Station and seeing all the same chain restaurants they have everywhere, Stella is a refreshing find. They must treat their people well, because they were all wonderful to us. The place has a great personality, inviting atmosphere and really good food. All the more impressive considering that there was a line out the door the entire time we were there. Whatever yall are doing, dont change a thing.

As a Texan who has lived in North Carolina - the new south - I love this place. Every breakfast dish I ve tried has been delicious. Even the coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice are unusually flavorful! And the service is fantastic. However, if you re looking for genuinely southern food, be advised that the food here may come with a side of posh. You ll notice the tiny orange slice as garnish on the biscuit w/ gravy, for example. Don t get me wrong - like I said, everything here I ve tried has been fantastic. And slightly posh is just sort of the way things go here Zero reservations on my part about recommending Stella for breakfast/brunch!

Everything was great. I ordered a churro French toast which was divine. The biscuit pot pie was perfectly seasoned and I had a pulled pork sandwich which was overflowing with pork and fried onions. The side of the sandwich was homemade potato chips which were excellent. I ate way more than I planned but I couldn t waste any of the food. It was all too good. The service was phenomenal as well. I spilled my water and before I could even grad a second napkin to try and clean it up, a worker came over to help and cleaned it up and was so willing to serve. Do yourself a favor and come to this place.

Stopped here quickly for breakfast and ended up sharing the French toast with a couple friends, very good and the whipped cream was good and not too sweet. Cozy decorations and nice outside seating, felt a bit cramped inside with the amount of traffic. Definitely on the pricier side of things but everything on the menu sounded good, may be back to try something else in the future.

My bestie and I stopped here for breakfast before a day of house hunting. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly! I love a good chicken and waffles, so had to give the chicken and biscuit French toast a try. You don t even need to use the maple syrup! It is so good just as it comes! Don t need to add anything to it. The berries biscuit French toast was also delicious. My bestie thought she needed a full size, but wasn t able to finish it. A half size is large enough for one person. We got a side of bacon. It wasn t thick cut, as advertised, but that wasn t a big deal. Well ask them to cook it a bit longer so it s crunchy next time. The fresh squeezed OJ is so good! How OJ should taste! We got the mimosa carafe with OJ, but it can be made with a few different juices to mix it up. Don t leave without a 6 pack of biscuits and a side jam to take home for delicious eating after they re closed! We loved this breakfast so much that we came back another day during our trip! I can t wait to bring my family back when we move there and will recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious food at a local spot!! Parking: Ample parking in lot in front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: You could easily bring a child here! They have kid s plate (that we got on our second visit). Plenty of food for a kid at a good price!

My mother had told us she was dying to try this place , so today for Mother s Day we decided to give it a try . I arrived first and got in line to get us a table and waited patiently like everyone else . When I was about the third person in line to order , a woman who I assume was the manager comes up to me and ask how many I had in my party . I told her I was waiting for my parents and was asked if I knew what everyone wanted to order and being that we had never been here before I told her I wasn t sure what they wanted . She proceeds to tell me that to get a table you HAVE to order something and then suggested to let the people behind me order instead . So I order my food so I don t loose my spot in line and potentially a table . After I order she proceeds to stare at me the entire time I m waiting on my parents to arrive and stands right next to the table and hovers over me. My parents arrive and order their food and notice the woman hovering over us , she sent a waitress over to the table multiple times to ask us if we needed anything , which we felt as a way of being pushed out the door . The food was great but we all agreed that this was our first and last time ever coming here .

What I had, I would consider more like a treat not really a healthy breakfast option, but I wasn t sure what to expect, but the berries and cream biscuits were delicious. my husband had something called the rise and swine sandwich but it s more like an open face sandwich. Everything is served per biscuit. It was absolutely delicious. We definitely will go back if ever in the area.

This is my favorite brunch spot in CStat/Bryan area! Amazing portion sizes for the price (and smaller portions available for less), super great deal on GOOD cold brew and coffees (3.50-4$!) and always super friendly and polite staff. They have the perfect amount of options on their menu to not be too overwhelming but always have something else I can try (I never have been disappointed with anything yet and I usually just end up sticking to one favorite dish per restaurant). I also like the recent peach special they ve had. Shrimp and grits here are a no-brainer. Super cheesy and flavorful and a nice portion of shrimp. Also, in general, super affordable pricing on the dishes . (Some closer to 9$ and some around 12$.) Stella Southern Cafe is THE spot in town for the gals that want to meet in a nice spot yet also don t want to spend $50 a pop for a nice brunch! My only request is that they spend a little more on beautifying and expanding the patio / outdoor seating with some lower cost decorations/ touches! So much more potential outside!

Ordered the SEC sandwich, which is basically a sausage-egg-cheese biscuit. It comes with fries which are not at all fries instead you get a pile of soggy, unseasoned cubes of potatoes that are 30 seconds away from being burnt. The sandwich came out IMMEDIATELY after I ordered it. It was cold I mean the eggs were literally cold to the touch. The sausage was lukewarm at best. I had to ask for another one sadly. I truly hate being that person , but I am just wary of cold eggs and meat. The service was good and everyone is very nice, but it seems that nothing is really made to order. My parents had the pot pie and that too came out immediately and it was barely warm. I suspect that most of the food just sits in the kind of foil pans you d find at a church potluck. Even Denny s cooks their eggs to order If you re looking for a good biscuit sandwich and real fries, I d skip this place and go down the street to Whataburger.

I have a great love for Southern Food and Brunch Restaurants, and I was particularly excited to try the Churro French Toast and Shrimp & Grits at this establishment. However, from the moment we walked in, the staff and management made it clear that we were not welcome. We received no greetings or thanks, only unwelcoming stares that made us feel out of place. The atmosphere felt exclusionary, as if the establishment was enforcing a policy of segregation. Despite the websites claim of treating everyone like family, we experienced anything but Southern Hospitality. My family and I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I would not recommend this place due to the poor customer service.

Found Stella Southern Cafe on Maps researching BCS dining options I wanted to try while in the area. The Mrs and I were out in the greater CS area after the Bryan farmers market and looking for brunch options. They were pretty busy when we arrived as the line was several groups deep... but the staff moved pretty efficiently and we were up in no time. I got the Southern Benedict with a side of grits. The Mrs got the chicken and biscuit French toast(?), which wasnt. Better described as drop biscuits or Johnny cakes, but definitely NOT French toast. Clearly lots of scratch made and a likely option next time were wanting breakfast or brunch.

Always homey and welcoming vibe to grab brunch. Most recent plate I ordered was biscuits and gravy with a coffee on the side. My cousin got an omelette and grits and did not leave a crumb . So great food and brunch vibes on point.

First time trying this place. Food was delicious! Everyone in our party of 7 was very impressed with what they ordered. Service was a little lacking but the place was full of customers around 10:30am, so it was understandable. Looking forward to going again the next time we are in town.

Very nice people but must be resting on their laurels. In short, bland food and missing and/or half-cooked food in take-out orders. Ive given Stella numerous chances but wont be going back again. Ive eaten Stella food both dine-in and take-out numerous times. The savory food is 100% bland, unseasoned and unremarkable, though I dont eat the sweet offerings and they may be better. The seating is very uncomfortable (hard and cramped), so I stopped dining in after the first couple experiences. They have a very efficient takeout system, but several times now, Ive gotten home to find barely cooked bacon thats floppy and only slightly seared on one side (had to cook it myself at home in microwave), missing items where we paid for extra and got even less than a normal order, as in the case of ordering an extra egg on a basic breakfast (Eggcetera) and got the equivalent of one scrambled egg instead of three. The extra egg is $3! With the amount of egg I received today on my last attempt w/ Stella, I would estimate that each bite of egg was the equivalent of $3. So getting barely one egg instead of the three is just robbery. Im not going to drive back to Stella to have them add the two missing eggs or have them cook the bacon that they provided barely cooked.

Loved, loved, LOVED everything about this restaurant!!! So many delicious options on the menu...it was difficult to decide!! We highly recommend the Southern Benedict and Pot Roast with Eggs...and we had fresh-squeezed orange juice, excellent coffee, and perfect melt-in-your-mouth beignets, to boot! Our waitress had a great sense of humor, too... made our time there very enjoyable.

Shrimp and grits was real good. Souped but good. Breakfast stuff was legit as well. We got there right before it got busy. It is a place where you order then take a number to a table. So I have no clue how they handle that if you order food and don t have a place to sit. So if you see people waiting outside I would just go somewhere else. Solid spot tho and great service .

Stopped in on a game weekend Sunday for breakfast before we left town. The line was out the door and had about a 20 minute wait to order. I had the Eggcetera with ham, and this was very filling. My wife had the Rise and Swine which was also delicious. If your in town, stop by for a good classic southern breakfast with generous portions.
