Drove an over an hour away to have dinner here based on the atmosphere, and it did not disappoint! the barn atmosphere was so beautiful. They have live cattle you can walk up too. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Great for pictures. The food was amazing. Simple menu. But great quality food. Service was great! I forgot our servers name. But he was a cute young strapping man. Tall, fair skin, black hair young. He was slammed with a big party and a four top and both the tables food was coming out at the same time. And he was so good about communicating that he had to serve their plates and he d be right with us. And again right after had something pressing and communicated again he would be right with us. I really appreciate that! As a former server if you communicate right away that goes along way and I have much understanding for that. Food came out at a timely manner. He was so good about checking in on us to make sure our food and everything was up to our standards. I wish I remembered his name. But he was so good. Thank you for your exceptional service. I would drive over and hour to come back!

My wife and I have made this place a date night regular. You know why we keep coming back? I will tell you. One would definitely say the food is excellent. The steaks are tender, the flavor hits your taste buds, and happiness resides there. The atmosphere and absolute Texas authenticity, along with southern hospitality, never disappoint. The bar is simple yet refined and rustic. It feels like country sophistication but a place to hang your hat. They infuse Napa vibes with undeniable Texas winery charm. Even after all that, it would be empty and without its soul if we ignored the people who bring these things to life. For the past two years, we have had the pleasure of knowing Terri. She is not just a waitress but a staple of what service and satisfaction are. She knows you by name and remembers your favorite drinks and dishes, even if it s been months. She is a credit to her craft and the real reason we come back so often. We always feel loved and taken care of. She respects space but engages and is personal. You have a diamond in Terri and really all of your staff, but she will always be our favorite.

Where to start..Do Not recommend. What a disappointment. My husband & I have tried this place 5x, always leaving saying we would never go back. (We like to try and keep our money local). We have not been back since, nor could you pay me. Over priced for Less than mediocre food. I have had better steaks at low end chain restaurants. Who puts a steak in the oven? Lol. I like my steaks as legally rare as policy allows so they serve me one cooked in the oven-YUK! Too tough to eat, bland and over cooked. They have 1good server and everyone asks for her by name. We have been from party of 2 to party of 7 and what an embarrassment. No dishes to recommend. We will stick with The Reata, thank you. Kid-friendliness: More of an adult setting/crowd. Not much on the menu for kids.

Wow!! What a gorgeous little steakhouse in cleburne! Please make the drive, I promise its worth it. The ambiance is nice, and it overlooks the pasture where two gorgeous horses hang out. We had the shotgun shells, the rolls, the side salad and ribeye with mashed potatoes, all excellent. The steak was one of the best Ive ever had. Our server Theresa was so very nice and her service was excellent. Please go try it!!

I said the last time I visited fbn that I would never eat a steak anywhere else, well I did try them everywhere else, and always compared them to fbn, which there is no comparison. So I told my wife after our second visit to fbn, my mind is made up, if I cant have a fbn steak, then I wont have any

Gave Fly by Night a second chance after a failed visit many months ago, and we are so glad we did. Service and food were exceptional from start to finish. Teresa is a gem, and we sincerely hope your management appreciates what she brings to the table (literally and figuratively). And the snuggles from the sweet horses pastured out front were the icing on the cake. Thank you for a beautiful evening!! We can t wait to return. Dietary restrictions: EXCELLENT service for a customer with celiacs. The server was knowledgeable and there was even a card on our table indicating my restrictions when we were seated. Gluten free options add very clearly listed on the menu and the server was thoughtful and placed rolls on the opposite side of the table for my husband.

Made a reservation for 8pm. It was about a 5 minute wait upon arrival. First time here. Everything ordered was delicious and cooked really well. NY strip (perfectly seasoned), bone in ribeye (wish it had the same seasoning as the strip but it melted in your mouth), whipped mashed potatoes (amazing), green beans, brussel sprouts (a little too much balsamic for me). Let me not forget about the salad also! The candy their own pecans for it and it was a fresh mix of greens with feta and cranberries. And for dessert, there was banana pudding (not sweet enough for me, but thats kind of the point, the cinnamon chip was really nice though) and chocolate cake. My only issue with the cake is I wish it were warm and a la mode... but, when I say this was a massive piece of cake Im not exaggerating. It is definitely on the pricey end but a great atmosphere, the waitress was very attentive and friendly and made some great recommendations. The owner and/or chef came out to ask about our meal, also very friendly. Will be going back for special occasions! Oh and as far as location... its in the middle of a ranch so you might feel a little lost driving out to it but just follow Google maps and it will be fine! Nice outdoor firepit area also!

Oh, don t even know where to start, everything is top notch, from the place being legit on a ranch, views of farmland, gorgeous brangus cows around. Inside a tasteful rustic ambiance, lots of space, great vibe. Staff dressed all black, feels very upscale and down to earth rustic ranch feeling at the same time, truly unique one of a kind spot. Food was delicious, steaks as good as Texas beef gets, amazing. We rated food as number one in comparison with Mahon s and Mercury. Will definitely be back many times. Now I wonder if they sell swag also :) Real gem and I am so happy this place exists. Wish owners and staff prosperity and abundance! One negative is that kids are allowed, but this being country isn t unexpected.

While we enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant itself however there were many aspects of pur experience that left much to be desired. Well start with making the reservation. When booking I was asked if it was a special occasion which it very much was as it was a milestone birthday for my wife. I was expecting the waitress to say something or maybe somebody would sing or something I mean why ask if it doesnt seem to matter. We arrived early and went into the bar to have a drink while we waited for our table the bar was not fully stocked as many of the signature drinks had to have substitutions. When seated we ordered a appetizer and when it came it was okay the chipes were over seasoned and the quaso was bland. Our waitress was.... not rude but definitely not friendly. We had some questions about menu items and she kind of snipped answers at me. The menu was very limited which most high end places are and thats fine but there were absolutely no substitutions allowed which kind of sucked because the salad had a bunch of stuff in it I wouldnt eat so I was just going to have something els and instead I just opted not to have a salad my wife had a salad with only the spring mix and dressing because the only cheese was blue cheese which gross! And her poor little salad was tiny and the lettice was all wilted. I guess they put all that fluff on there to had the week old sad spring mix. Moving on to dinner we both got ny strip and I ordered cowboy corn for a second side because I couldnt sub out my salad. The steak was seasoned very well and cooked pretty close to perfect. No complaints. The potatoes on the other hand Im still not sure if there was to much butter or what the deal was but they had to much of something and then were definitely missing salt/seasoning. The cowboy corn came in a decent size bowl my wife tried some and we both though for it being creamed corn it was really runny and for it to have jalapeños in it we barely noticed. The rolls they brought out were not even warm and the butter was ice cold and hard. The waitress checked on us I think once and offered a dessert menu we declined paid our bill and left and im not going to lie I was extremely disappointed in this place I had high hopes especially with it being a big night for my wife and it really let me down. I got a email about being dressed appropriately for the venue and everything mean while people came in wearing basketball shorts and t-shirts. Its one thing to be high end restaurant and its another to want to be a high end restaurant. I was upset when my wife said our evening and money would have been better spent at saltgrass and I full heartedly agree with her. For $170.00 we could have had a truly more enjoyable meal with a much nicer waitress elswear. If your wanting to take someone special somewhere special please dont think that this will be the place, keep looking.

My wife and I went here for Valentines day. We arrived a little earlier then our reservation but was seated quickly, within 10 minutes. Our server (i wish i could remember his name) was great, had good recommendations, good attitude, very quick service. Food was really good, I had the ribeye, cooked perfectly with great flavor, my wife had the salmon and loved it. My only small little complaint is the table. The table was very wobbly, felt like it was going to tip over. But small complaint is all and not worth lowering the review. I will absolutely come back and recommend to anyone.

I took Lisa here for her birthday dinner. It was an excellent choice. She started with a blazing saddle margarita. She ordered the tenderloin, mushrooms and creamed spinach. Our salads came first it was their standard salad of romaine lettuce, spring mix, fetta cheese, cranberries and candied nuts. I was not expecting it to be so delicious. It was unbelievable I finished every bite. Our steaks and mashed potatoes came out next. I had the New York strip. The steak is dry aged 21 days and then cooked to order. I had mine medium. The outside had a beautiful seared crust. The inside was pink and juicy very tender not tough at all. The mashed potatoes were perfect. We had a slice of Key Lime pie for dessert and I believe it was made fresh that day not a commercial bought pie. The service was superb as well. This was a wonderful dinner from beginning to end. I will eat here again. I can highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.

Thinks they are fancier than they really are. They have downtown Fort Worth prices but barely any of the excellent service. The service is just ok, as they have messed up our order every time I have been there. Last night we got our salads after our steak because it was forgotten. They made me take off my ballcap due to some new dress code they have. The steak was really good. Our meal with one appetizer, two adult beverages and two steaks was $145 before tip. Not worth it, and I recommend going to an actual fancy place since they charge fancy prices here and only deliver an ok experience. Al s, it was a Saturday night and it was only about half full, so I must not be the only one who thinks this. We will go to Fort Worth next time. Parking: It is a gravel lot, so if it is wet outside you will get muddy going into the restaurant

Salad was brown(twice after sending it back) , steak not cooked to order and lobster smelled up the whole room !! Waiter had no customer service at all!! Waste of money and over price for a cattle barn!!! My reply to your comment, YOU did not even try to make things right! Say what you like We will never be back!

Wife and I ate here tonight and it was amazing overall. Every category was amazing. The atmosphere was really what sealed the deal though. Wanted to get out of the city and get into the country and that s exactly where this place is nestled in. The restaurant is on a working cattle ranch with huge open green lush right out the window. Couple of horses as well that my son got to say hi to. Honestly can say it was the best steak I ve had in Texas. Everything was delicious. Upscale, fine yet very country, dining. Try the banana pudding it s delicious. Then spend time walking around the property and taking it all in. This is definitely me and my wife s new spot!! Romantic, peaceful, just the best experience I could ask for. Love it!

This place is the best place Ive been in a very long time. The view was amazing, and the food was outstanding. The wait staff was some of the best Ive seen in a long time. They had the best sweet tea out of any place Ive been to. The price is pretty high up there, but it was way worth it. Ill be going back with my girlfriend many times.

This must have been an off night for Fly By Night as most reviews are very positive. Service was very slow which caused the meals to be cold. The Mash potatoes were not good, the chicken fried steak was tough and paper thin. My wife and I fought a sour stomach over the next 24 hours as well. I will not be going back.

I was able to snag a reservation for 2pm for my mom and I on mothers day, we went early to enjoy a drink at the bar. We tried the yellow rose and it was amazing, probably the best drink ive ever had. We were sat right at 2 and everything was wonderful thanks to our server Carlos! Things are pricy but you definitely get what you pay for, with great taste and great servings. The environment is so welcoming and the atmosphere is just beautiful and so peaceful. The business is ran so well with NO chaos even though they were fully booked!! Definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be back!!

Let me begin by saying that the food is always DELICIOUS! Our bill usually comes to $100 with the wine and dessert which we dont mind because going to Fly By Night is always a treat and always delicious as I mentioned. Last night, we ordered just like we always do. My husband and I split the chicken fried tenderloin with an extra side, and to our surprise, our waiter just brought out an empty plate and we had to spilt the portions ourself. Normally when when we split , the plates are brought out prepared. We dont mind paying the $10 splitting fee. But last night we paid $10 for an empty plate. So that was disappointing. The couple that was sitting next to us, did the same, but their order was properly split.

So we were on our way to Glen Rose this evening. All of us were pretty hungry, I had heard about this place and the great food they had. So I plug it in my GPS and we head that way. I tell the wife make sure we dont need reservations. Sure enough as we pull in the parking lot she says, yeah and the next available is 8:45. It was 6:45 and I didnt really want to wait 2hrs to eat. On a whim I walked in and was greeted by the host, which was a nice young man. He says how are you this evening to which I replied hungry and I didnt realize until I pulled in the parking lot we needed reservations. The host replied with how many in your party. Next thing I know we are being seated in the restaurant because someone canceled their reservations. Im glad I walked in because the food was delicious and the service was beyond fantastic. I recommend the bone in ribeye. The drunken tequila chicken was on point too. Teresa was a phenomenal server who was very attentive to everything and all the tables she was serving. Free advice... make reservations and go check this place out.

This was the first time my husband and I visited this restaurant. It is a higher priced venue, so I recommended you look up the menu before you make your visit. This restaurant did not disappoint, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with spaced tables to have some privacy. The menu was simple but lots of selections. The steaks we ordered were amazing. The service was great, not to slow and not to pushy. Will definitely be going back again. Just make sure you make your reservation, its a must.

My wife and I quickly learned that this is not the Fly By Night restaurant that we were familiar with. While in the area, I called to ensure they would be open late enough for us to enjoy dinner. Since I didnt have a reservation, I was advised it would be a good idea to make it now. I made reservations for about 45 minutes from the time of calling this establishment. (Thankfully), no jacket or tie required. Once inside, we noticed that a bar had been added as well as expansion of the dining room. I have no opinion of the bar, but the expansion of the dining room was needed. The food was good (as it had been in the past), and the menu had foods we associated with the establishment. But the biggest difference were the prices. Our waitress was cordial and professional. Again.... the food was good, but Im not quite convinced it was worth the price. Maybe they are just looking ahead. Fly By Night.... I love you, but youre just almost too big for your britches!

I had high expectations based on some other reviews. Nice place for a special date but not exceptional. Food was good but Prime Rib came out barely warm. Ribeye was a bit coarse in texture but not over salted which is hard to come by. Sides were very good and so was dessert. Atmosphere is a little lacking but comfortable unless the air in on and you are across from a vent, brrr.. Our waitress was not very attentive but thankfully another waiter was. This really could be an amazing place. We may go back and try other items besides the steaks.

My husband and I were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and decided to dine at the Fly by Night Cattle Company by recommendation from our Airbnb host... We made reservations, and came a little early, but the host graciously seated us, despite being early. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, which was absolutely delicious. I went for the Bergundy Tenderloin, grilled medium, with the smashed red potatoes, grilled asparagus, red onion strings, bleu cheese crumbles and a glass of Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon... Wow!! Then my husband and I shared a Banana Pudding dessert. We loved every bite!! Great service, wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food!

Texas Steak House. Texas Ranch. Texan hospitality. Immediately, our server Theresa(?) was the type of server that seemed genuinely happy to meet us and make us feel like guests. A few good laughs traded a few anecdotal stories and was attentive. Not the annoying every 2 minutes you ready yet attentive. The attentive of a laugh, quick exchange and ill be back. The food was excellent, the steak was the type of steak you can only cook at home if you know how to cook steak. It was my gf, her sister(birthday!), and I(my birthday was next day). We definitely got what we paid for, and that was great food and great atmosphere.

Just WOW! Fly By Night Cattle Company DID NOT disappoint! My husband and I wanted to go somewhere different for our 34th Anniversary, and I had heard good things about this place so I thought wed give it a try. I called on the way to make a reservation, but was told they werent taking anymore because they were short staffed, but to go ahead and come and wed be seated after a 30 minute wait or so. When we arrived and put our name on the list, we noticed a lot of people sitting at the bar and found they were all waiting to be seated. People were coming in by the droves with reservations, so I thought wed NEVER be seated...but I was wrong, we were seated after a 45 minute wait, and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait! Our waitress was amazing and such a sweetheart! I wish I remembered her name for a shout-out, but do remember her saying she was a runner. We started by ordering a watermelon margarita and the Crispy Okra Pods. We never knew how amazing deep fried okra pods could be! That cajun house seasoning with chipotle ranch aioli..we couldnt get enough of those crispy little pods of amaziness, and I recommend ordering these for your starter! My husband ordered the Tenderloin Chicken Fried Steak and I ordered the Drunken Tequila Chicken. Everything was TOP NOTCH! A little more than were used to spending..but totally worth every penny, and perfect for an anniversary dinner! I wish I knew how to post a pic, because I took one of my husband taking his first bite, and his face says it all on how delicious everything was..lol. We will definitely be back and request the same waitress..but with a reservation next time.

My husband and I have never walked out of a restaurant prior to food being delivered to our table. Reservation was at 6:45 and we were sat at 6:40. So that was great. No staff took our drink order or acknowledged us sitting for at least 10 minutes. Finally waiter walked by and asked about drinks, I ordered drinks and meals at the same time. 30 minutes later no drinks have been brought to us. (It was not very packed) a sweet waitress came up and asked if we have been helped since it seemed we were sitting quite a while. She was not even our waitress and noticed we were not being helped. She got our drinks for us and we were back to the man waiting on us that could not care less about checking in. He was very attentive to the neighboring tables, so I m unsure if it was a racial issue, personal issue, or he just didn t like us. Appetizer came and that was the last we seen of him for 30 more minutes. Another table was sat behind us and he immediately went to take care of them, and that was the last straw. We walked to the hostess, who happened to be sitting another table right as we were walking by, and we let her know we would like to check for the appetizer and the drinks as we have not been helped, felt like we were a burden even being there, and would like to leave. The kind lady, waiting to be seated with the hostess spoke up and said we have had the same issue with the same waiter, and to ask for Teresa, and she will take care of us. The hostess did comp the app and drinks, and as amazing as Teresa was noticing or neglect we will not be back. Unfortunate first experience to publish.

My wife and I have been here a few times in the past but went recently for our anniversary on 10/06/2022. My wife ordered the tenderloin and it was the worst steak her or myself have ever tasted. It was tough and over charred. When brought to the waiters attention was advised the cook is always right and will cause way to many issues if taken back for himself and my wife. So we had to pay for a $48 steak that was not edible. We ended up giving it to our dogs because neither could eat it. That was our last time going.
