Where do I even start I came to Justin after being turned away by several other local family law firms due to my case being of EXTREMELY complex. When I first spoke to Justin I truly did believe he was the man for the job. Justin and I embarked on a crazy journey that lasted nearly two years due to delays and red tape that were completely out of our control. After this was all said and done he managed to get an out of state custody case moved to Williamson County AND obtained me a favorable ruling once we were able to get in front of the judge. I consider Justin a friend after all of this. To say he advocated on behalf of myself and my son is a complete understatement and he truly navigated the worst imaginable situation and did so while also easing my concerns around the matter. During my search for Will preparation, several colleagues at work suggested the Jackson Law Firm. I contacted their office and it was easy to get an appointment. I was sent some forms to fill prior to the appointment. They were easy enough to answer and submit. On the day of my appointment, I met with Mr. Justin Jackson, who walked me through the process, explained estate planning, answered questions about probate and any other questions I had. Once we settled on the options, the paperwork was drafted and at a follow up appointment, everything was signed and notarized. Very easy and a great Law Firm to work with!! I cannot thank Justin enough for his help. I went to him trying to get the custody agreement I had amended. It started off smooth sailing with the opposing party meeting halfway. It then quickly deteriorated and Justin was not deterred. He continued to fight for me even when things got difficult. In the end we got the result we wanted which was more time with my kids. Mr. Jackson had a tough mountain to climb after a biased and prejudicial judge from counties away decided to forego law and justice. Justin continued to push for my rights, as this judge decided to degrade me by lecturing on parenting with only ever using false allegations and hypotheticals to formulate a reason to his decision. Mr. Jackson is highly recommended with all his knowledge, but realize that he will give a firm and honest answer. What I liked most was his blatant honestly and path forward for our case. I had a phone consultation today and the attorney did not call. I had worked with them previously and assumed the experience would be the same. The first time we worked with them, it was a great experience. However, the attorney did not call and the paralegal did not respond to email. If I hadnt called today, I dont think anyone would have followed up with me and I wouldnt have known why the attorney did not call today. At the very least, someone should have communicated this to me. Although I was already a client, there was a large questionnaire that I was required to complete before the attorney would even speak to me on the phone. I had questions that only she could answer and since she didnt seem to be available without filling out the paperwork ahead of time, I scheduled an appointment with a different law firm.

I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing assistance. My case was a divorce case including child support and spousal support. My spousal support was difficult because it included a base salary plus commission which isnt included in any of the boilerplate files you can obtain on the web. I originally spoke with Justin Jackson who was extremely professional and at the same time reassuring that they could handle my specific needs. He was called away to another more pressing case and I worked with Collin White, an associate lawyer, who responded any time I had a question or change. $17,000.00 + for not contested divorce case & to loss possible scenario.(custody, child support and anything else that makes you a big loser). My experience with this firm is horrible and frustrating for a year. Finally, I lost custody, they got whatever they asked for. In addition to the child support additional $500 for a year for them. I havent felt that my so called lawyer works on my behalf instead she was acting a good negotiator for them to push me to accept what ever the other party requested for. This whole theater ended with the mediator without going to the Judge. The lawyer, Cara, see me off with failed me in every corner of scenario and got more than $17,000.00 for the Service. The have been charging for emails without any kind of response and even not been read. This is the my experience with this Firm.

I went through 3 lawyers and interviewed countless others before hiring Justin. In the courtroom, he by far had the best memory and knew just the right pressure, for the judge. He was clear and to the point. Once in our meetings together, he helped soothe my concerns. He is very knowledgeable about divorces and parents rights. My biggest concern was my kids and what s best for them. He pulled the emotion out of my concerns and helped me set a plan. In my opinion, we won my case! There is no winning in divorce, especially with kids but i was able to maintain and achieve all my top points. He gave clear, honest advice. He helped me prep for the hearing quickly and easily. Justin agreed to do my divorce for a flat fee which I paid in full but when he could not get my ex to agree he didn t want to do my case anymore and requested to be removed from my case. Ironically when I first talked with Justin he said he can be very convincing with his argument to get a good agreement, but he basically took my money drafted a proposal - my ex declined and then when we went to court and had mediation with opposing attorney Justin and the other attorney got into a verbal back and forth argument - but not about my case - apparently something personal and very unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable with the two attorneys getting up and in each other s face arguing. Justin then wanted more money but I have a child with Autism and could not afford more and reminded him that is why we did a flat rate and I had already paid him $2500 so Justin filed to be removed from my case. Basically he took my money and then ran. He might be good if you have deep pockets and he can keep running up the bill - but in no way does he keep his word or honor his agreement for flat rate. Funny thing is I represented myself and hired an attorney to review paperwork and I ended up in a very good position and a nice divorce outcome - I had a simple case with no assets just child support to be established. A pretty simple slam dunk case - so sad to think I could win and handle the case and Justin could not. I did pay an attorney $500 to review decree and help with what steps and paperwork to be filed to get back child support and garnishment established with my ex s employment, but like I said, a very simple and straightforward case that apparently Justin just didn t want to complete. Just make sure you have deep pockets and I would be cautious with what Justin promises or even what he agrees to, he is not a man of his word and doesn t have a sense of obligation to his agreements!

By far the worse, Justin was late on most occasions, never knew what the details of the case were. Pushy to settle the mater and or recommend that it be deflected to someone else. Always never without fail asked if the bills was paid up and that another retainer would be needed. did not file requested court papers promptly and in some cases not at all. Ive never written a negative review for someone before the the level up his unprofessional conduct was beyond anything I have ever seen from this profession. Justin and his paralegal Melody were amazing. I consulted multiple attorneys regarding my case and Justin was the only one who made me feel confident and assured. Some wanted to be overly brutal with my ex, some expected me to fold for him, but Justin GETS IT. He understood my needs and read my personality, and knew the right way to approach my situation and guided me every step of the way. Justin is honest and down to earth. He gave me realistic and probable answers and expectations, never tried to fluff or polish issues that arose just to please me. Melody was wonderful and always helpful, taking time to walk through expectations for hearings, meditations, etc. Melody is close & personal with her clients; she was really involved in my case & felt emotions with me, both frustration and celebration, and everything in between. It truly felt as though they were on my side and took my case because they believed in it and wanted to help me, not to add names to their client list. They powered through false CPS claims, harassment, verbal abuse, and my out of state move, never giving me any doubt that I was taking the right positions, made the best choices, and that we would win my case. This isnt a law firm that you never hear from and leaves you sitting, twiddling your thumbs, hoping theyve got it together. No, this legal team is there every step of the way and always looking out for your best interests and those of your children! I never felt like they were milking time or loading the bill. In fact, they were aware of my financial situation and always offered ways to save me money. I was never pressured for payment and I will always be grateful for that. Child custody cases are emotional enough, and it was a blessing to work with a team that didnt add financial stress to the load. Custody cases are heart wrenching, stressful, and can mentally break you. You need someone who will leave you feeling confident and even relieved, every time you hang up the phone or walk into court. I was trembling and close to vomiting for every hearing, appearance, etc., but as soon as Justin arrived and laid out his game plan, seeing him at work and watching him fight for you, I always walked out with my head held high. Five Stars for the Jackson Law Firm! I was really nervous when I started my search for a family law attorney because I knew that the most important things in my life were at risk: my children, my home, my assets and my ability to provide for my kids in the future. I knew I had found the right attorney the moment I walked into Justins office. My divorce was nasty! My ex wife was determined to try and take my young children away from me and tried to fabricate all types of narratives to get her way. She tried to use family protective orders, stalking allegations, cps investigations, accusations of adultry, drugs and abuse with multiple police reports and every other tactic you could think of as leverage in our custody battle - but Im happy to say I ended up with 50/50 custody of my children and an equal split of community property. As far as logistics go - Justin and his staff worked with a sense of purpose and I never felt that they were milking the clock. His office was always responsive and billing was clear, understandable, detailed and consistent. Justin is an attorney that just gets it. Dads do get custody My divorce was a nightmare. False assault charges, 2 rounds of depositions, 2 rounds of temporary order hearings. lots of subpoenas, restraining orders and injunctions against my ex wife, private investigators, etc. You name it my divorce had it. At the start I was looking at only getting standard visitation with my 8 year old daughter. 7 months later, In my final divorce decree I was awarded primary parent and my ex-wife has expanded standard visitation. My husband and I worked with Cara Surell to put together updated wills, directives to physicians, etc. We have teen-aged children and want to make sure their inheritance would be given to them in increments and not all at once, if we were to suddenly pass away. Going to Mr. Jackson was the best decision I made in my divorce case. It was a complicated case and the few law firms I went to before Mr. Jackson, assure me that I had ALL to lose and the kids mother could do what she was doing. I was at a lost when I met with Mr. Jackson. I explain to Mr. Jackson I wanted a divorce and that the kids mom had taken and move the kids to Hereford Tx, almost 9hrs away from Austin, against my will. I told him what I wanted, I wanted the kids to move back to Austin so I can see them as much as possible. Within 4-6 weeks I had my kids with me while the process of custody was underway. At the conclusion of our case I got 50/50 custody, I do not have to pay child support, medical insurance has to be provided by the mom. I end up with everything I wanted, my kids back in Austin, and more. After a few lawyers telling me I will have to keep paying child support and the kids will stay with their mom in Hereford Tx like she wanted to, Mr. Jackson made me see some light again and got my Kids back for me. When I first begin looking for a divorce attorney, my consultation request started with a statement of it s complicated and that is what caught Justin s attention. During my consultation, he assured me that he was there for me and it wasn t what my ex-husband wanted but what I wanted. At that moment, I knew Justin would be my lawyer. I have to admit that I am somewhat difficult and can be a bit bossy but I left my divorce in Justin s capable hands. When I was shaky on how things were going, he continued to reassure me especially after the Temporary Order hearing. I believe at that moment Justin realized how complicated this divorce would be. My ex-husband went for the kill and diverted his past failures on me. The outcome wasn t what I expected but Justin advised me it could have been worse for me; it was only temporary and now the real work begins. I took a breath and said, I trust you . Justin made sure that we proceeded to the next step which was Discovery. He met with the judge to fight my case that my ex-husband didn t disclose any information while I provided what was asked. We both went through some ups and downs but I knew Justin was working my divorce and when asked, I received updates. The final divorce decree had to be the hardest as we were looking at possible asset distribution situations and it wasn t looking good for me as I had more assets than my ex-husband. I had two kids (one in college/ one in middle school) but yet my ex-husband wanted to take all he could from me. I knew what I wanted and provided Justin with my proposal and he said, It won t be easy but I am going to do everything to get you what you want . He did exactly what my lawyer should have done which was to fight for his client (me) and needless to say that by the Grace, Favor and Mercy of God we came out victorious. I went to Jackson Law Firm to get assistance with a will and power of attorney. I meet with Cara Surell and she was great. She explained each area of the will and power of attorney were I could understand it without having any law background. Cara was personable and very friendly. She asked all the question the first and time we did not have to talk or meet again, until she completed the forms. I would recommend Cara to my family and friends without hesitation. My wife and I had our wills done here. We met with Mr. Jackson and we reviewed our goals and objectives. He answered all of our questions very thoroughly and is very knowledgeable. Our wills were drafted in a very timely manner. The rest of his staff are very professional and handled everything with detail. Overall, very pleasant experience, prompt, and well priced for these services.
