Ate here after checking out the menu, and we all greatly enjoyed our food! Service was friendly and helpful, so feel free to ask questions, if you need to. There were a couple of families when we went but there was also a group of ladies that seemed to be regulars. Thus, its a great option for any size of/type of group! It can seem a little pricey initially, but you get A LOT of food! Do not underestimate what you will get! I opted for a full bowl of a wonderful, creamy soup that I will most definitely go back for again... But in a half/cup portion. Id say to go get you some right this instant, but they honestly have tons of hours for you to choose from. Enjoy!

I have been eating at this place regularly for a long time (or ordering through Uber eats) it has always been good, but recently it seems to me that they have lowered the quality of their food, today I ordered some pastries (which are usually delicious) and the truth is that they dont They are good, they feel old and not at all what they normally are, I also ordered a phosphorous soup (which is my favorite) but in the same way it has practically no seafood and it feels with a different and strange seasoning. I would recommend that they not lower the quality of their products, since it seems to me that it is not a cheap place

The waiter was very kind with a big smile in his face since we walk in very helpful, teaches you about what you are eating and helps you make the right choice on what fits your taste palate also they have a bilingual menu so that s amazing. You have to stop in and try this food, it s fresh ingredients and authentic Venezuelan food.

After reading all the rave reviews, I think we may have gone on an off day. The server was very nice but it took a long time to get our food. The appetizers (empanadas) came out a few minutes before our actual meal but it took a while to get them in the first place. The food was okay. Empanada filling was delicious but the dough part was a little greasy. They were super hot so I assumed they were fresh. I had the Rustic Chicken and it was nothing to write home about. It was also room temperature which may not have helped.

*World Traveler Review Super fresh ingredients, creative dishes, amazing Sangria, easy parking, def recommend! We tried the Empanadas Sampler and Seafood Ceviche. Whereas the empanadas were perfectly cooked and came with 2 sauces, I was hoping for a bit more flavor and uniqueness in the fillings. We tried cheese, shredded beef, ground beef, and shredded chicken. The best flavor was the chicken (by far). The ceviche, on the other hand, was UNreal! Ton of flavor and ultra fresh tasting. Medley of seafood incl. shrimp, octopus, etc. Served with a unique Potatoe biscuit type of flat edible to accompany the ceviche. In my opinion, a crispy sea salt cracker or similar would have been a better pairing. Atmosphere has a lot of potential - they have been open for about 9mos as of this review. As it is, I would like to see more Venezuela-based photography, collectables, etc and also authentic music to the regional food they are serving. Great place overall - we will definitely return and recommend. Excited to see where they take it in the months ahead!

Food and service here is outstanding! My wife and I shared a bottle of wine, Durigutti, Malbec Mendoza, Argentina, 2019; Patacones, fried green plantain (tostone), one topped with shredded beef and the other shredded chicken plus lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese and garlic sauce; Pabellon Criollo, shredded beef accompanied with rice black beans, fried sweet plantains, avocado, fried cheese and a fried egg on top; and, finally, Crispy Fish, fried Cod Loin sticks served with fried green plantains topped with Peruvian Chala. Our host was super friendly and attentive, making sure we were taken care of throughout our time there. Overall, if youre wanting a great Latin dinner experience that has it all (excellent food, service and atmosphere), I highly recommend dining here!

Venezuelan food, Pabellón Criollo was good they told me. The patacones, which was my dish, I thought they were more but I was really full, it was one with chicken and one with meat, I liked the meat one better (the same one as on the Pabellón plate), the chicken one was a little salty but still good in seasoning/flavor. The empanadas were chicken and cheese, they were delicious (I liked the chicken one better). Rice and fries, well, too . The treatment was good and the place was empty I dont know why. I went to Cedar Park but I understand there is another one in Pflugerville. #Ivepassed

I am happy because Fogonero opened its location in Cedar Park. Before, I had to travel to Pflugerville to enjoy its exquisite cuisine. The neighbors of Cedar Park are lucky to have a restaurant of this quality here close by. I had tuna for lunch that was divine!

Amazing food! My wife and her parents are from Venezuela and they said it was super authentic and just wonderful. It was a little bit of home for them. We were surprised by the quality for such a small place. You would expect this kind of food at a larger more upscale restaurant. Do yourself and favor and check it out!!! Nice family owned business and our server Wilson was great!

New Venezuelan restaurant with such an amazing menu, cozy ambiance, great prices! They have local specialties like Pabellon, Tequeños (with high quality mozzarella), Arepas (Reina Pepiada, Carne Desmechada, Carne Asada) and they also offer classic Pasta options like Mushroom Risotto, Seafood Linguini, etc. Highly recommend it if you want to try Latino food in Austin. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fogonero, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This restaurant offers a taste of Venezuela that is nothing short of exceptional. The food at Fogonero is a celebration of Venezuelan flavors. From the moment I took my first bite, I could tell that each dish was prepared with care and authenticity. The arepas were a standout, with a perfect balance of crispy exterior and tender, flavorful fillings. The empanadas were equally impressive, and the pabellón criollo was a true highlight - the beef was tender, the black beans savory, and the plantains perfectly sweet. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who were eager to explain the menu and provide recommendations. They truly added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. As for the ambiance, Fogonero strikes a great balance between being cozy and vibrant. The decor pays homage to Venezuelan culture, and the atmosphere is inviting for both casual gatherings and special occasions. In conclusion, Fogonero is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Venezuela. The dedication to quality, the welcoming atmosphere, and the delicious cuisine make it a restaurant that I will certainly return to. If you havent tried Venezuelan gastronomy, Fogonero is the perfect place to start your culinary journey.
