They do not skimp on the protein! If you live nearby you should give it a try. The only issue I had was I was not asked which sauce I wanted on my enchiladas. And I forgot to say what sauce I wanted without the prompt. This was my first time here and I enjoyed it.

I used to drive past this place and I decided to be curious one day and checked it out. Verdict: Theres the actual elegant Tex-Mex experience ... and then theres Uncle Julios (who brands itself as elegant to charge more in the affluent areas it usually opens locations in). Campuzano is actually elegant: food presentation, interior design, ambiance, and service. What twinkled my eyes was the margarita with the Stella Rosa Black can - I sent a picture of it to my friends and they were envious! This place should be hyped more because its really elegant and good.

First things first, the service was amazing. Drinks never went below half full. Enchiladas were perfect as was the salsa, I probably had 4 bowls of salsa to be honest. Rice was tip top and beans had flavor . When I left I was stuffed to the brim and ready for a nap . Definitely need to be a franchise. Steer clear of this place. Food was not good and the service was terrible. The waiters are rude and act like they don t want to be there. When they bright my plate the waiter pushed aside the dirty dishes instead of taking them and walked away and wouldn t come back until we asked for the check. The place is a fire hazard! Each space is small with barley any leg room or space for intimate conversation. Most importantly the air conditioner does NOT work. My table experienced a tremendous tragedy of a woman who passed out from heat exhaustion. A few people from different tables assist her as she went in and out of consciousness. Did the staff assist her? NO. It was disheartening and scary to say the least. The place should be flagged by the city and ashamed of the conditions and service. Proceed with caution during this hot season..

I like the Waxahachie location better than the Cedar Hill location. Both locations have great food. However, if you intend to have your drink, whiskey, old fashioned smoked... the Cedar Hill location does not smoke your beverage, only the Waxahachie location offers that service. The Waxahachie location has more seating available than the Cedar Hill location also. If you are thinking about ordering a spicy margarita, you may want to tell him to make it extra spicy because the way that they make it at the Cedar Hill location is just your plain regular margarita. Honestly, its more sweet than anything.

We are new to Cedar Hill and looking for new go-to favorite spots. As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, we knew it was a popular place. We were greeted with a sign on the door that says they do not serve people with a strong smell of marijuana. Love that! Even though the restaurant was clearly very busy, we were promptly seated. Our server was great; she was very fast and attentive. We ordered drinks, they came out fast. We ordered our food and it was fast, too. The whole atmosphere is jumping and the restaurant meticulously renovated and decorated. Most people were dressed very nicely. I like that in a restaurant. Nicely dressed patrons. It makes the restaurant feel higher end. Everything was very fresh. My husband ordered the fajita fiesta platter and the shrimp were huge! Everything on his plate looked great! I had the fish tacos. Very yummy. The charro beans were awesome! My only complaint would be they serve fish tacos on corn tortillas and the weight of the fish and other things in the taco did not hold and my tortillas broke on the bottom so I had to eat them with a knife and fork. That s where my 4 stars out of 5 come from. Otherwise, everything on my plate tasted wonderful and it wasn t a deal breaker, but I would recommend they use two tortillas per taco, cook them a little longer so they aren t so soft, or use flour tortillas. I love fish tacos, and I don t think I ve ever experienced all of my fish tacos break apart like that so that was a little disappointing. I kept noticing the servers walking past with several different fun-looking frozen drink concoctions on their trays that looked really good. Now that I know that, I will be going back soon to try a few of those! Overall, Campuzano did not disappoint and we left, knowing we will return! Great salsa, chips are a bit hard, but still yummy. Their chicken entrees tend to be really dry, but dear Lord are their stuffed jalapenos, nachos, guacamole, and pretty much everything else they have, a-freaking-mazing! The staff there are incredible, even though the server my youngest and I had was really only barely good. The server in the section next to ours was amazing though-my daughter accidentally knocked over the small pitcher of tea on his tray stand when she was trying to squeeze through the tables to get to the restroom and he was very kind and understanding and then the bussers cleaned it up so fast it was unreal. They could definitely use a remodel with more space for more guests and room to actually maneuver around the tables, but its a great place with some fantastic food Parking: Theres not a lot of spaces, but theres not a lot of room inside for occupancy either so if its full, the restaurant is probably full too

Overrated and overpriced. My low rating stems from sign posted that anyone who enters and smell like marijuana will not be served! THEY too have to eat. I felt that was discrimination. Although I dont smoke, it is a personal choice and medicinal for many. As long as they are not smoking on premises or bringing it to facility, how can a smell be judged? Food was not good at all especially for the prices and drinks were very watered down. Spent $150 and immediately had to go somewhere else to get food and drinks. Service was great and everyone was nice.

I want to start off by saying that I ve been here numerous times and this was my first time I was let down. The atmosphere was dry, no music or anything. The service was my biggest disappointment. Our server, I believe her name is Jennifer rarely checked on us. She acted as if she did not want to be there. There was also a neighboring table that had to move because she did not greet them and they waited about 15 minutes. All in all very disappointed with campuzano s.

I rated the food a 4 star because I thought the steak and shrimp entre should have been better and more representative of the price they charged for it. Next time, I will just do the fajitas and enjoy it more and a few bucks. OBTW... this is a one margarita place if ya have to drive home. Killer marg for sure.

The food was good, but unfortunately my eyes were in the sun the entire time. My dad even told the waiter and he said nothing could be done. We were a big party of 10 and couldnt move. Not best experience... Disappointed
