Food was really good! Theyre still in their grand opening phase and when we went in they were clearly short staffed, but I cant fault them for it. We had two snow crab boils. Both the lemon pepper and Capt Loui sauce were great and the hot was pretty hot! My only complaint is that when the menu says the boil comes with potato and corn it means a singular potato and corn, which were both delicious, but you definitely need to order extra! Try their Adult Capri suns, very fun and delicious.

I wanted some seafood so bad one day andi just looked up seafood near me. I seen Capt loui and thought that was an interesting name so I clicked on it and saw the photos. The pictures and The menu had me at hello. Im a head on shrimp girl so when saw that have head on shrimp as well I made it my mission to go. I went: the host was so nice, the ambiance is a lil elegant inside and a lil edgy outside (it looks like a bar from the outside) I like that! The food choices were peeerfect. Name a place that has a seafood combo with sides and drink that comes with the price.... I have yet to name one.. except Capt Lou! I only had the seafood boil. Both sauces are good. Capt Loui sauce is more garlicy and the lemon pepper sauce is self explanatory. I cant wait to try the other things on the menu .

I enjoyed everything about this establishment. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Every staff member who walked past our table made sure to interact with us and make sure we did not need anything. The food was very flavorful and worth the price. The drinks will definitely have you feeling good. You do not taste the liquor but you will feel it. I am looking forward to visiting again very soon.

So to start off solely based on my first visit I would have given this place 5 stars all across the board, but the last 2 visits the service was so lacking it was borderline neglect from our server Jimmy, I work in the service industry, so I get certain things will hinder great service, but we literally waited our whole dinner for our basket of calamari, and we reminded him twice. Ended up canceling the order, and taking our second side that never came out to go. The worse part is, knowing the service was lacking he still had the audacity to auto-grat our table. Dont think well be going back a 4th time.

Been here a few times already. First time was great. Last couple times the service was really lacking. We either didn t get our full order or it came out really late. Visited yesterday and had to remind our server Jimmy of our missing meal. It still did not come out so we had to stop another server to cancel the order. Very disappointing.

Food was AMAZING!! We got the Fisherman s platters. Shrimp, fish, calamari and soft shell crab with fries and cole slaw for $22. Huge portion. We started with a crawfish boil - seasoning was perfect, not salty like so many places. Best boil I ve ever had! Finished with the funnel fries and ice cream. Perfect Sunday lunch for our family of 5.

I ordered crawfish and was disappointed compared to my previous experiences. The sauce didn t seem to coat the crawfish well, and the flavor felt off. The sauce in the bag was also much less than what I ve had from other places, and when I dipped the crawfish into the sauce, it was way just salty. I tried this place because of the 4.9-star rating, but the taste didn t live up to the hype. Unfortunately, I won t be trusting Google ratings as much anymore. This place is not for me.

I recently checked out this new seafood spot, and overall, it was a great experience. They had a snow crab special, which is what drew me in, and I m glad I gave it a try! Food: The seafood was pretty fresh. I ordered the snow crab broil and some raw oysters. The crab was cooked nicely, and the Cajun sauce (I got mild) had just the right amount of kick without being too spicy. If you like spicy then this place would be good for you l. It was flavorful and paired great with the crab. The oysters were cold and fresh. I also got a cocktail, and it came in this fun light-up bag it s a nice little touch! Service: The service was amazing, easily 10/10. Our server checked in on us multiple times, and even the owner came by to say hi. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Environment: The place was spotless, and I really liked the handwashing station they had in the corner, especially after a messy seafood broil. The vibe was casual but still modern and clean. Overall: If youre a fan of seafood, this place is definitely worth a visit. Great food, awesome service, and a fun atmosphere Ill definitely be back!

Wow! I came all the way from OKC, OK to try this place. Let s start with service: it was top tier! We were even provided samples of the alcoholic beverages before purchasing which was a plus! Now on to the food. The seafood boil was to die for! Everything I hoped it would be. The sauce was and when they say spicy they mean it! I was ready to pay the small upcharge for a spicier sauce if very hot wasnt hitting! Needless to say, it was on point! The only thing I didn t like were the potatoes. My sister tried the shrimp po boy that was good with some tasty fried chicken wings. Dipping the wings in the sauce from my seafood boil . We even tried the funnel cake fries and they were amazing Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the energy from the employees, and most definitely the food. I will be back! Thank you all for your service. Especially Tan and Rick (or Rich?)!!!

Ordered 1lb of snow crab, 2lb of shrimp, 1 garlic noodle, 1 fried calamari, coleslaw, and 1/2lb of sausage for three people. My first time at Capt Loui with some old and new friends for a late lunch. Short answer, we had an amazing time. Im a bit embarrassed to admit that we were there for a looong time (sorry to the staff) and had an amazing time. Where did the time go?? Staff was very understanding and they left us alone to enjoy our time together. Worth appreciating for sure. I realized they had recently opened so I came with a certain expectation as any new restaurants need time to work out kinks and etc. Surprisingly to me, everything went smoothly. Our server and also Hannah (Manager) were both highly attentive and helped us refill our drink on numerous occasion. It was our servers first day but he did great. I could tell there were some trainings going on for some of the new staff so little bit of patience might go a long way. At the end of the day, great attitude and hustle is what matters and they certainly over exceeded my expectation in that regard. As for the food, I thought it was great. We had clams, shrimp, lobster along with corn, sausage and potatoes. We would have eaten more but we were too busy talking and laughing... next time, Ill be taking my wife to eat....and not talk at all. We ordered Capt Loui sauce per recommendation and it did not disappoint. I might try the spicy next time.....maybe. But medium was perfect if you want to play it safe. As for the churros Ala mode...shut the front door!! Im just going to say it was so good, we ate it in a micro second. We were so embarrassed that we didnt even look at each other after finishing it. Overall, I would say a great place for large parties to go and have a wonderful time. The place is well decorated, spacious and amazingly comfortable to dine in. I hear grand opening is happening soon so definitely worth checking out!!!

Ordered 5 lbs of shrimp/crab boil in a bag for 5 people and received *maybe 3lbs of food. We eat seafood boil often so are aware of how much to order to feed all of us, and there was no way the amount of food that was brought out to us was 5lbs of seafood. Service was absolutely horrible, it took over an hour to get our food and no one ever came to refill our drinks. Our check was wrong 3 different times and then a 20% gratuity was automatically added without us being told. Will never be back.

Came here for a to go order and got the boiler. Did not receive the steamed rice for 2nd order. Snow crabs are huge which I loved. I do believe the sauce needs some salt OR extra Cajun seasoning.. maybe fresh garlic. Did not care for the casing on the sausage as it is extremely chewy. The noodles in the bag are good but was greasy also.

Seafood boil is one of the few things that our fam can agreed upon. Most of these places are pretty standard and unfortunately one of the standards is that the boil is too buttery and salty. Not this place. Capt Loui is probably the BEST seafood boil place that weve ever had. Starting with the ambiance and service, everything was top notch. The place is SO clean and well organized. You dont feel like you need to take a shower after eating here. We got 2 lbs of snow crab and 2 lbs of shrimp. Both were excellent. The crab was so juicy and full of meat. The flavoring was just right and everything was cooked to perfection. Got the corn and potato combo in the boil and garlic noodles on the side. The noodles were a little dry but still good Finished off the meal with some funnel fries and beignets. Both were solid but I wouldnt say a must have. Overall were SO glad to have found our new seafood boil place. If you love seafood in a bag, gotta check it out!

While Capt Loui has only been open for a few weeks, theyve already figured out how to be welcoming AND serve flavorful food, something that one should not take for granted! This visit I decided to have the shrimp and crawdad boil. Set before me was a generous pile of steaming hot, perfectly flavored goodness just like in southern Louisiana. Whats different here is that they give you plastic gloves along with the requisite bib, and then youre good to go at it. I ordered the lemon pepper Capt Loui seasoning with a spiciness level of medium. Turns out I chose wisely because the hot level would have been too much (or at least until then get their beer license, but you can byob). The colorful and tongue-warming spices were spot-on. What I loved was being able to sit down and escape my phone and all my cares while peeling shrimp and crawdads, slowly enjoying every bite. This kind of dining experience makes you stop and take note of not just the tasty food but the simple pleasures in life, such as being deliberate about your enjoyment instead of mindlessly gobbling whatever is available. It reminds you to smile, spend time talking with family and friends, even joke around about who gets the messiest or who stays the neatest. I promise there are some no-bib-needed foods on the menu, of course, but why miss out on the fun? Enjoy your time here. Inside, its cool and a little dim, like a bayou during a waning moon phase. Highly recommended!

He was SOO sweet & attentive to myself and my kiddos which meant a lot!!! We ordered the oysters, two boils, a side of garlic noodles, & one kids fish meal. Man the food was delicious!!! (I m not even a boil person so that says a lot coming from me lol) anyway even though we were there past closing time since we dined in but we were not rushed which was nice. We still wanted to leave quickly just out of courtesy but even when we left after closing, the whole staff spoke & wished us a good night. Ridge also provided me a sprite to go. The sweetest staff ever, seriously!!! Between the WONDERFUL service & DELICIOUS food. This will definitely be our go to place & I will gladly refer others as well! Today, Capt Louis finally opened, and we were honored to be the 1st customer. We ordered the Special B and calamari po-boy. The calamari was so delicious even my 3yr picky eater loved it and was very tender. The Special B included lobster, snow crab, and shrimp with a medium spice level. Initially, it felt spicy, but it soon became pleasantly hot without being overwhelming. The meal was flavorful and not greasy. I appreciated the kid-friendly details, like a stool at the hand-washing station and diaper-changing stations in both restrooms. Its great to see such thoughtful touches, especially when many Dallas restaurants overlook them. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Stool at handwashing, lockable highchair, and diaper-changing at both restrooms.

The sauce was addictive and delicious. Its a taste that keeps coming to mind. The staff was friendly, and perhaps because its a newly opened restaurant, it was very clean, spacious, and nice. We went with children, and they even provided crayons. The fried food and garlic noodles suitable for kids were also good.

My boyfriend and I got the special combo B with 1/2 lb snow crab, 1/2 lb shrimp, and 2 lbs live crawfish in the medium sauce and it was all delicious! For our free sides, we got the garlic noodles (per our server s recommendation) and broccoli, and they both tasted great with the sauce. We were also able to get a sample of the hot sauce and it made a great dipping sauce. We got the funnel cake fries for dessert and they were perfectly fried while also being soft and not too crunchy. Ridge, our server, was very attentive and kind, and the owners Hanna and Danny were super sweet! We will definitely be coming back!!

Wow, just wow. Our overall experience was absolutely AMAZING! Food: We ordered 1/2 order of fresh oysters (next time I plan to get a full order as it was so fresh & delicious), Boiler Special A (medium spice with the original Cap t Loui sauce - it was just perfection) - 1lb snow crab & 1lb shrimp which came with potatoes & corn and we chose garlic noodles for the side per recommendation from other guests & our server. *Highly recommend mixing the garlic noodles into your seafood boil as it elevated the dish hehe Environment/Experience: The owners & staff keeps the environment so clean!! There s a hand washing station in the back left corner of the restaurant - thank you for having this. You can see their thought behind everything - they are so intentional with already knowing what the guests need & provide with care. Everyone was so warm, inviting, attentive & kind. My friend & I really enjoyed our experience - I kept telling her that this space is so happy as we couldn t stop laughing, smiling, enjoying the moment & excited for the next bite of food! Thank you God for such a sweet evening!! I ll be back soon & I can t wait for my family to enjoy it too!! Thank you everyone! :)

Came with a group of 7 and had a great experience. Got the Boiler Special C with 2 lbs head on shrimp, 1 lb snow crab legs, 1/2 lb mussels and 1/2 lb clams with 2 sides of garlic noodles and 1 side of corn in the Capt Loui sauce (garlic cajun style) medium spice. All seafood was coated well with the sauce and there is a good amount of sauce in the bag where you can dip in for extra flavor. Make sure to get the garlic noodles and mix it in with your seafood boil for those extra carbs and a nice spice to your noodles. It will not disappoint! *Pro tip* Wrap your seafood of choice with the garlic noodles. It reminds me of a seafood pasta jambalaya Also got 2 spicy chicken sandwich medium heat, one with cajun fries and the other as lemon pepper fries <had a little bit of sweetness to it>. The chicken batter was not too thick and was fried to achieve the perfect crunch. The coleslaw couples well with the medium heat and makes a really good bite. Overall, the food was excellent, our server was attentive and took care of us. We ended the meal with the funnel cake fries with a scoop of ice cream. Funnel cake fries were a good thickness so it wasnt overly oily but crispy on the outside with a chewy middle. Coupled with the ice cream was perfect!

So so delicious. It s hard to find a good seafood boil here in Dallas and I m so glad Cap t Loui opened up here. I tried the shrimp, both live and frozen crawfish, and clams, with garlic noodles and Cajun fries on the side and it was so good we went back the very same week! We got the medium spice level which was perfect - not too spicy but has a kick. The corn and potatoes soaked up all the delicious juices, making them just as delightful as the seafood itself. The service was exceptional - our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The portions were generous and offered great value for the price. Capt Loui has quickly become my go-to spot for seafood.

Ive been looking for a place to get my seafood boil fix - so happy Ive finally found the spot for me and my wife! We had the crawfish, shrimp (w/ head), and lobster tail and enjoyed all of it! All the sides we had were delicious too but the garlic noodles stood out, especially when mixed with the Capt Loui Medium! Speaking of which, medium had the right amount of spice for us. I recommend it if you like a good kick but dont want to be sweating during your meal. Lastly, the chicken sandwich was SO good. I only had a bite of it from my generous friend but Ill be going back to Capt Loui just for that very soon!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Captain Loui Crawfish and Seafood, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the food. The crawfish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice. The seafood boil was a true standout, featuring an incredible mix of shrimp, crab legs, and mussels, all seasoned to absolute perfection. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors that showcased the restaurants expertise in seafood preparation. Would most definitely recommend getting a side of sauce on the side of a heat level one step higher than you think you can handle. It really gives an added kick that completes the meal. The service was equally impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure that every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch. Their genuine enthusiasm for the food and commitment to customer satisfaction was evident throughout my visit. In addition to the amazing food and service, the ambiance of Captain Louis was perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. There s enough space for parties 20+ which is a definite plus. Overall, Captain Loui Crawfish and Seafood is a must-visit for seafood lovers. Whether youre a crawfish connoisseur or trying it for the first time, this restaurant delivers an exceptional experience that will leave you coming back for more. Highly recommended! Was very excited to check out this new place close by yesterday. Came in and ordered the fisherman s platter and Boiler A with 2 lbs of crawfish and garlic noodles. The fisherman platter was good, the best was the shrimp, the fish was a bit watery, but overall okay. The worst part of the meal was the crawfish, it is obviously frozen and tasted very stale, when ordering there was nothing indicating that it was frozen on the menu and it just stated Crawfish $16/lb at those prices and it being the only one on the menu it was kinda a no brainer assumption that it was going to be live (our fault for assuming that I guess), we asked the server and he said it s because they currently only have frozen. I think it s dishonest of a business that serves boiled seafood to not be transparent on if they only serve frozen crawfish as that s the bread and butter of this season and most people will be looking to eat live crawfish. Even kickin crab has it clearly labeled and posted on their door and menu when they don t have live crawfish. We also saw the manager go to a larger table and speak with them but skipped right over our table of 2, didn t speak with us at all and I m pretty sure our server let the manager know about our concerns, I just want to add that our server was awesome and provided great service and was very attentive, so they were the redeeming factor if anything of this experience.
