This place is a solid four stars. The reason it isn t five stars because not everything in the menu was delicious, but of course personal opinion. I provided the list of what I ordered. The bad items: Chinese buns were super dense you need a lot of water to eat it, scallops were really small didn t even feel like I was eating scallops, the first piece of the pork belly was good because it had fat on it, but the rest of it was super dry. The following items were good, but also nothing to rave about. Just good enough to not hate. Which are the beef, squid, corn and oyster mushrooms (they put down enoki). The best ones were definitely delicious and I would highly recommend. The bacon wrapped enoki were super flavorful! Bacon and enoki is a great combination. The leek was very well seasoned. My first time having leek and I wanted more. Finally the best item were the lam skewers! Super flavorful, tender, and well balanced, loved them! Would definitely come back again! Also we got a free gift for taking a photo and posting it on Instagram!

Worst service I ve ever had in DFW in 15 yrs. They talk crap to you, they are sarcastic like you re bothering them asking for hot sauce or water, & then they hard pressure you for a big tip at the end. Lol. The owner of this place obviously doesn t care about customers.

Great new experience! Went here with a group after being recommended it - it was exciting up til we sat down in which we received water and some edamame and then were left to figure it out on our own. After we made selections we had to find someone to take our menu for preparing. The menu can be hard to garner how much food you will get per item, but its able to be mostly worked out. The oil slick noodles, the wheat noodles were great accompanying all the meats, as was the pita bread. For skewers - Id recommend the pork belly, lamb, and quail (although quite small). Also USE THE SAUCES for variety, they help as most meats all have the same aftertaste/profile.

Unfortunately after being wowed by a video post i had to try this place. It was let down. My expectations were just too high. The food was ok. Nothing special but far from bad. I will say I was most surprised by the fried tofu - tasted like fries! Definitely give it a try just do not expect to be amazed.

The food was great! Service was good. This chicken dish with noodle that my server recommended me was amazing, very rich in flavor yet tender in the meat. Definitely come back for more recommendations. Updated review: The noodle was still as good as before! The skewers were all flavorful! The meats are grilled to perfection, offering a tender and juicy bite with just the right amount of smokiness. Really like the taste, which is totally different from those I had before. Very recommended!

I recently visited this barbecue restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! The lamb skewers were exceptional tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The chicken cartilage was crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, bursting with flavor. The iron plate cabbage was another highlight, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning to enhance its crunchiness. Every dish had its own unique charm, making this place a must visit. Highly recommended!

The hostess was very, very, very RUDE! She snatched the menu out of my mother in laws hand and yelled at us to sit down at the table. Then when we tried to order, they told us we wrote everything wrong and refused to help us figure out what we needed to do..Needless to say I didnt order any food and I promise I wont be back here. If I could give negative stars..I would give them -20!

We decided to come for a late dinner, around 11pm. I wanted to start by saying it was pretty hectic to check in. There was a line almost out the door. We had to ask a couple of other customers about checking in or what to even do. There was no sense of direction or anyone to come up to greet us. No sign in sheet. Some of the customers didn t know either that came in right after us. We ended up walking to the counter and asking. One of the waitresses ended up writing a number on a sticky note and let us know it would be 30 minutes. We were seated sooner around 10 minutes afterwards at least. I would improve on the checking in system, especially for it being a busy establishment. A lot of people were standing there looking around, unsure of what was going on. The service wasn t that great. No one was rude persay. But if you re wanting traditional waitressing, you re not going to get it here. I understand they are pretty busy, and they were kind of just running around. You had to flag them down, and hope they see your arm raised. I think implementing a light system that turns on when you need something would help a lot in this type of situation. When we were helped, the lady was nice and polite. But we didn t get a refill of water in the pitcher. The food was a mix. I loved the flavor of the broccoli skewer. It had a nice blend of cumin and other spices, it was probably my favorite thing. It was also brought to me fresh and hot. However, my beef skewer tasted pretty good, I just wish it was less fatty and had less cartilage. But the flavor was there, just not the texture. My husband had a lamb skewer and he said a piece on there tasted sort of rancid, which threw him off. However, the chicken heart skewer tasted pretty good to him. I also got the stir fried beef noodles. I enjoyed the in house made noodles. They have a slight doughy texture that I personally like. The seasonings were perfect, however I had the same problem with the beef. A lot of tendon and Cartilage, not enough leaner pieces of meat in my noodle dish. My husband got the Soy Bean Paste Noodle dish. It looks a lot like Dan Dan noodles, but without the spice. He questioned if he was given the correct dish or not, because it did not look like what was advertised but on our receipt it does indeed say Soy Bean Paste Noodle. It also did not have much of a soy bean flavor, but the taste wasn t bad. He didn t like how some of his noodles weren t evenly cooked. A lot of it was to do with how they were cut and prepared, a lot of the thinner parts cooking more evenly than the thicker parts of the noodle. Some pieces were slightly undercooked in his opinion. Overall, it wasn t terrible. We would like to give Fat Ni another shot before having a final opinion. I would change some things to make the service flow better, so people aren t left standing around and maybe implement the light or something similar as I mentioned above and a better check in system. I think the food would be a little better with slightly better cuts of meat and noodles cooked a little more. But like I said, the spices are perfect and flavorful. Vegetarian options: They do offer a variety of vegetable skewers. Kid-friendliness: They do have high chairs.

Despite the many times weve frequented this restaurant and the large amount of money Ive spent buying food, often for large groups, they refused to consider my request to honor an expired coupon. They clearly do not value my business. Their avarice has been present in other places. Look up at the air in take vents on the ceiling, and you will lose your appetite. They are probably as cheap with maintenance as they were with their coupon. The quality of the food is inconsistent between visits. Its sometimes excellent, other times salty and over cooked. They are probably as cheap with staffing as they were with their coupon.

Although the menu had a vast selection, it was not as clear of how much food would come with an order. Many of us ordered the recommended gizzard and lamb skewers but it was rather disappointing all were over cooked. Everyone seemed to fight to get the food off the skewers. I also had scallops, which were so tiny for the price, as well as the shrimp that were not deveined. Only food I did seem to enjoy were the vegetables. First time going and I would have thought itd be nicer with the steady lunch hr.

We had a wonderful experience during our visit in 2023 Christmas. The lamb skewers are fresh and seasoned just right for the authentic taste. Six months later, we visited again, the lamb skewers were overly marinated this time. The meat is salty and lost its original meat flavor and freshness. I ordered 7 and couldn t finish more than half of them, compared to last time, that I could not stop ordering more. I also ordered zha jiang main. The photo shows it comes with sliced cucumber and carrots but instead there were none but with over cooked bokchoy. Flavor was too greasy and salty. I don t know if the management has changed but huge disappointment. Probably won t come again.

Staff moves quickly but they don t check up on you very much. I love the food. Skewers are fantastic, and they make veggies taste heavenly. My favorites are the lamb skewers and the hibachi cauliflower and hibachi broccoli. They have a house specialty spice mix that taste really good. They use a lot of cumin; normally dislike cumin and find it overpowering, but at Fat Ni there is something about the other spices that they mix it with that tastes amazing. Especially if you squeeze a bit of lemon on top of your food Kid-friendliness: The vibe is very casual and kid friendly. But the food might not be; it depends on how much your kids tolerate spice. Most of the food is not spicy, it just has a lot of different spices in it.

Service and atmosphere are great. Food is just smothered in cumin to the point of being inedible. We went with no spicy and yea. Just cumin. Sad seeing as the meat wouldve probably been good. Maybe describe what seasoning will be put on somewhere so maybe just salt it and let people use your seasoning bar to flavor it how they would like.

I placed an order for delivery, and the meat seemed very old, at least one or two days, and it had the taste of a liquid smoked flavor that they placed on the meat to appear that it was barbecued. I was scared to eat it because I thought I was going to get sick. As long time, customers can tell the difference between fresh barbecued skewers, and the liquid smoke concoction that you try to put on your meat. The meat wasn t even hot. How dare you all? Open till 2am every day except Tuesday, this place is great for people like me who work long hours. The lamb is my personal favorite but you really can t go wrong w any of the meat options. Prices are good, especially the beer and meat. I sometimes go w buddies and even after getting plenty of beer and sake it s easy to keep the bill to a reasonable amount

I had a great meal here with my friends. We all got a ton of food and it was all really good. The nice part about it all is you are able to try a bunch of different foods and can order as much as you would like. For most things it s about 2 skewers for $3. They also have bigger dishes too like fish, noodles... Also the beer was $10 for 1.5L which was more then enough to share and $18 for I believe double. Would recommend Vegetarian options: There are veggie options as well as tofu. Most items are meat Parking: It s a normal shopping center parking lot

Good food with fair price. The servers are very attentive. I noticed that every one of them walking by was checking our table and keeping track of what order is missing visually. Regardless of not being our assign waiter. Wonderful teamwork Food

Been here multiple times. Food preparation is slow (i.e., 45 minutes prep for 7 skewers). The flavoring tastes mostly the same between different types of skewers (because they put tons of their special spices on the meat). Food is still good though. Highly recommend the Taiwan sausage skewer and enoki mushroom wrapped in tofu skewer.

IF YOU WANT SKEWERS, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH!!! Will be a repeat late night date spot for my husband and I! Were new to Dallas, moved from Houston. My husband just got back from a work-related trip and everything else nearby he was interested in eating was closed by the time his flight got in (10 PM). We searched for something open until at least 2 AM, so we didnt have to rush to eat at a place closing at midnight. We found this place, and its open until 2 AM. We used to go to a place in Houston occasionally but were disappointed in the quality of the food, the meat was always so dry at the other place. We came into this place with similar expectations: we were blown away by how different it was in comparison. Literally, we stared at each other with wide eyes and said WOW, THE MEAT IS JUICY, NOT DRY! Not only was the meat NOT dry, the portion size per skewer was bigger/more meat than the place back in Houston gave! Aside from the delicious food, the service was EXCELLENT. We ordered a lot of food, we wanted leftovers to take home to have to eat today for lunch/dinner. They were SO kind to even give us a coupon for our next visit, since we spent so much!

Easily became one of my favorite spots to visit in Dallas since the food was grilled to order, making each piece of meat charred perfectly while still juicy inside. Relatively big spot, so seating was easy and workers were very efficient. I ordered Chicken: Hearts, Gizzards, Skin; Squid; A Choy; Beef & Beef Tendon; Pork Belly; & delicious Corn on the Cob. Like I said, each piece was charred perfectly and deliciously seasoned. See the Reel/TT on @phidingthefam

This is for phone call orders. Do not come here to do pick up orders! It is always another 10-15min wait after the promised time in our past 3-4 orders. Today is the worst! My husband had to wait for 35 min in the restaurant while there were only 4 other tables eating. No apology no explanations. Should it be food for himself, he would have left but Mom requested it for Mother s Day. But This is ridiculous and we are furious. We will never come back. There is another Korean Chinese skewer place across the freeway and it is time to try that restaurant now.
