I love the concept of Ying Tang. You grab a bowl, throw in anything you want before weighing it at the register and picking a broth that you want to cook everything in. While you wait for them to cook your food you create your dipping sauce at the sauce station and enjoy everything shortly after they bring out the masterpiece you created. They charge $14 bucks per pound so even if you load up your bowl it doesn t get too expensive. Items range from vegetables to all types of protein, even my favorite, large intestines. The broths range from no heat to pretty spicy (we re talking Asian level spicy). Many broths also pack a good amount of mala. If you re sensitive to that be sure to ask the staff and order accordingly.

The food was okay, it was not good, and it was not bad. What makes me extremely angry is that if you pay with your card at this place they upcharge you a few days later hoping you dont notice. My bill was around $46 and after a few days I checked my credit card statement I saw that they changed the charge to $50. I would not give this shady business a chance, let alone eat their subpar food again. As a warning to any potential customers reading this, If you end up using a card to pay, check your statements later on.

My girl kept recommending this place so we decided to come here for lunch. I loaded my bowl up with what was available to me which was mainly protein and at this location, you pay for how much your bowl weighs. Not bad so far. Sat down and waited on my food after they cooked. When they brought me my food is when they messed up. They gave me someone elses food that was full of veggies and two fish balls and it wasnteven spicy. Thats when I noticed it wasnt my dish. Got some other kids dish because someone screwed up an order. My girl got her dish and we basically ate separately because I had to go back in line and wait for the cooks to make my food again while some other kid was enjoying what I put in his plate. First off, I had to wait for multiple dishes to be made before me because you guys screwed up and by the time my dish was brought out, my girl finished her food. Already this put me in a position where Im frustrated. Thanks for the 10% discount but, Id rather pay full price just to eat with my girl. Probably wont come here again nor will I recommend this place. But, just to be fair, food was okay and the guy who helped me out in the end was pretty good but, I feel like this could have been dealt with better by the employees. Hence why Im giving you two stars rather than just one.

The staff is very nice and pleasant, theyre promp in getting you what you need. The food is so good, yet they are quick to get your dish out to you. My daughter and I like the beef soup ramen, and my husband enjoys the dry mix. You wont be disappointed with either one. Well keep coming back, and we highly recommend this place

Really tasty food and great place. I love Yin Tang, and its one of the best-kept secrets as far as parking goes (its in the corner of the shopping district where a lot of the parking isnt utilized). The broth is delicious. To avoid running up your tab, Id suggest getting dry noodles and avoiding any fresh/chewy noodles. They charge by weight, not item type, so maybe focus on vegetables and meat. I got a $48 tab because I loaded on fresh yam noodles, worth it and fair but still. Great service, etc. They accommodated my table of like 12 friends 2 weeks ago without complaints. Not that Id suggest doing that to them, but we had a lot of last-minute arrivals.

The food is good. The service is great. However, keep in mind that the $13 per pound represents a great expense for hotpot. If you represent Asian heritage, then you should know how to make hotpot. The shrimp is delicious and the veggies are wholesome. However, the ingredients are obtainable from the asian markets in plano or arlington texas. The restroom experience leaves sour tastes in my mouth. The custodians need to clean the restroom with greater detail. I cannot bear fruit in the restroom. The restrooms need greater amenities besides the toilet paper or paper towels. In short, the restroom needs a bit of zing! I need to use the restroom after consuming edibles at the locale. I despise the restrooms at this location. Why do they offer unclean toilet seats? I dont know. The restaurant has wide lights and starred lights. The tables offer gold-lined plates and wine glasses from Salvador Tussi. Salvador Tussi is a great 19th century interior designer. Tussi worked with Vladimir Putin to restore and renovate the Kremlin. A++ service. I recommend you visit and try the place. The fish balls felt bland and stale. The fish balls are from another third world country. I do not recommend fish balls. Other restaurants in the area offer an all you can eat option for hotpots. IF one consumes at an elevated pace, then the all you can eat options perceives greater value for the opportunist. Yin Tang offers a personalized hotpot portion if one requests a personalized hotpot. Please visit yin tang hotpot. A++ delicious. I will visit the restaurant in the future visits. Why pay more for good service? Vegetarian options: tofu delectibles vegetables atercress starch potatoes cucumbers Dietary restrictions: keto gluten free organic diet Atkins diet south beach diet Parking: 120 parking spaces Kid-friendliness: The restaurant offers free dining for kid with purchase of adult entree. Wheelchair accessibility: eays access wheel chair accessiblity

EVERYONE IS SLEEPING ON THIS DELICIOUS HOT POT! Do yourself a favor and try out Yin Tang. It s all the best parts of Taiwanese hot pot without having to cook for yourself. Flavorful soup, great meat, vegetable, tofu, noddle options. Great service and a good price. First, you are assigned a numbered table and you can help yourself to the ingredients bar. You get a mixing bowl and add your vegetables, noodles, meats, and others to your bowl. Then, the staff take your bowl and weigh it $14.99/lb. My eyes were bigger than my stomach and I suggest you add ingredients sparingly or you will get a TON of food at the end. The staff will cook your items in hot pot either with soup or dry, at a spice level 1 - 4. Level 1 and 2 aren t very hot, so don t be worried if you re spice averse. The cooked bowl is brought to your table afterward. You can make your own dipping sauce at the sauce bar. They also have interesting Taiwanese bottled and canned drinks to try if you d like. Friendly staff and nice restaurant inside. My meal pictured was ramen, udon, bok choy , broccoli, potato, beef, and lamb at a spice level 2 with soup. I will be back!

Really fresh ingredients, we expected that. But attentive service? That was a nice surprise! So many Asian places are all about the food, forgetting the customer service part, but here there was always someone checking to make sure everyone had what they needed. One other point- most hot pot places have the food cooked at your table, but in Texas? 100 degrees outside? - it s really nice having everything cooked for you away from the table.

I cant stop thinking about this place... I originally felt weird about getting a 3 lb bowl to share with my husband, but its totally valid if thats what you want to do. They will give you 2 smaller bowls to make that easier to share. I think next time well do separate because I honestly love crab more than him and stacked our shared bowl with crab... My favorite toppings were the lobster salad ball, quail eggs, and crab stick. Super great place to go to if youre looking for something youve never tried before. It will not disappoint! Be wary about overfilling your bowl though. You dont want to make a $50 bowl you cant finish.. unless youre planning on taking it home. Well definitely come again!

Stumbled upon this place where you pay for whatever you eat - 13.99$/lb. You pick out whatever you want for huge selection of vegetables, seafood, mushrooms, tofu and meat options in a large bowl with your choice of noodle. They will measure the mass and charge you accordingly and make a soup / dry mix based off your instructions. We got the soup one at a spice level of 4 ( we love spicy food). The level 1 is a white base I believe. I ended up getting 1.85lb ( only took veggies, mushroom and seafood) which was a lot once they made the soup. I think 1.5lb will be good enough for anyone. Couldn t finish mine, had to take it later home! And they have a sauce station where you can concoct your own mix. I mixed peanut butter with chili oil and chili flakes!

Shoutout to the young American born Chinese waiter who wears glasses. He s been our waiter for years now and has always given his best service every time. Today was the busiest I ve ever seen it and there was a slight incident with a customer who was impatient and tried to seat his family of 6 in a table meant for a family of 2-4, making the customers around him feel rushed and uncomfortable because his kids are very hungry . He tried to calm the customer down and attempted to offer solutions to him but was continuously cut off. Given this situation the young waiter with glasses in my opinion handled it with such grace that he deserves a mf raise!

Food is good. The soup base taste delicious. A bit pricey though, $13.99 per lb. (They weigh your food) so be careful not to get what you cant finish - especially if you are not the one paying. Dont get 3 packs of noodle only to throw it away after. Its like throwing away $13.99. So get conscientious of what you get.

Ive been here a few times. My best experience was when the wait wasnt long. On the weekends the line gets a bit long. But for a good reason! The hot pot is truly delicious! The spicy hotpot is my favorite and the prices arent too bad for the amount of meat and things you can add. Every time Ive gone the server has been helpful and they always explain how their place works which is great for first timers. If youre like me come here hungry because their hot pot bowls are huge and youll definitely want to finish the whole thing.

Loved my experience! A novel idea of a yogurtland-esque application to hot pot or dry spicy. You assemble a bowl of ingredients youd like and they charge $13.99 per pound. I was being somewhat generous (noodles, veggies, not just getting meat) and got ~1.25 pounds. Ended up being a little over $18 after tax. Which is not bad considering the customizability. Good amount of choices. The soup base was great. I am sensitive to spicy and got mild (level 1 out of 4), and the spicy was barely there but enough to add flavor. Can make your own sauces. The only downside to the restaurant itself was the music was pretty loud and I had to ask my friend who was sitting diagonally across from me (table of 4) to repeat himself several times. Would come again!

This is very different. You pick the ingredients that you want. They charge by the pound. They take your ingredients to the kitchen and cook it for you. Do suggest to get the tomato soup, if you do not like it spicy, can get it light spicy or little spicy. The regular soup, is very bland. Need to add a little spice. They do have a sauce station.

Came here with some friends and this was a fun place to visit! Its not your typical hotpot place where you cook everything at the table. Instead, you grab all the veggies, meats and noodles youd like in your soup and they charge you based on how much your selection weighs. You can also select whether you want soup or not and how spicy your soup base is. The ambience is nice as well, but its definitely more of a casual place to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed eating here and would love to come back again in the future!

Delicious! The food here is amazing and you get three options for your buffet style soup or dry mix. I got original level 3 (it goes from 1-4) and it wasn t spicy at all but thankfully they have chili oil and garnishes available to make it spicier. The staff was so kind and knowledge able as well as attentive, thank you so much for giving my boyfriend and I a wonderful experience!

A restaurant with no menu, just a cold case with various hot pot selections to be served in the broth of your choice or no broth at all (aka dry) For the dry they do boil it in broth first then serve with a sauce. The bowls are monster so excellent for sharing. Jump in!

Interesting hot pot experience. You pick your broth, proteins, carbs, and greens. The bowl is then made to order. Unlike traditional hot pot, they cook your ingredients and bring the bowl of hot pot to you after a while. The staff was friendly and informative. Good experience overall.

The best hot pot! The flavor is next level. The ingredients are fresh and they have many available. Be aware its not the typical hot pot in terms that you cook it yourself. You pick out your ingredients, choose dry or soup style and spice level. They cook it and it serve it to you. Ive been coming for years. Always so delicious, never have I ever had one single thing to complain about. Great place.

Delicious with plenty of leftovers, which I appreciate, since I only managed to eat half the giant bowl. The mild soup base was flavorful and warm without any burning and tasted great with everything I added. Perfect for cold weather! Considering the portions, the price wasnt bad at all. My only complaint would be that there werent a ton of drink options, but that isnt a huge problem with soup.

Not your typical hot pot experience, you build your bowl with meats, veggies, and other sides kind of like genghis grill and choose if you want soup or a dry dish. Then the restaurant cooks your food and serves it to you at the table. They weigh your bowl of raw ingredients and you pay by the pound ($13.99) The broth was delicious and was by far the best hot pot experience I ve had so far.

Service was pretty decent. It was so uncomfortably cold I could barely enjoy the cute decor though. Food was abysmal. Couldnt finish it. So under-seasoned. I get that theres a whole bar on the side with seasonings but if I knew what I was doing with my hot pot soup, I would just make it at home!

Food is great during a chilling winter. You basically pick whatever you like from the bar and they will cook it for you either with soup or with sauce. I personally will recommend cooking with the soup they got, very nice bone both soup. I plan to visit again when it gets cold again.
