The employees there this evening didnt handle their stress well, running all over, no real sense of purpose. They lookee like they were trying to find ways to look busy. I tried to call this store, rings nonstop. No one picks up. Had a simple question, but since they are all running around senselessly, maybe they cant remember what a ringing phone means?!?! Ill stick with other locations.

Seeking employment STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE Burleson Location Management sucks ..Rude coworker that has a issue or problem everyday ..He snatches papers out of your hand ..Talk to you as if you was a child .Low hrs ..Tons of work ..Low staff..Underpaid and overworked ..They dont accept Dr excuses and you could be broke down.Store is very unorganized ..Store is not up to date ..Its very filthy..Needs to be cleaned and organized..Only one Fullfillment Associate per shift so you have to pick,pack and do curbside with minimum assistance..Have to dig through boxes and totes just to find an item because its not stocked on the shelves..Cashiers constantly requesting their break time...They dont care about their employees.They only care about the store and sales.I would never ever work for Academy Burleson ever again .Its the lowest paying job I have ever had since living and working in Texas ..and the WORST

But here I am on a Saturday morning because my darling wife wanted to buy me some jeans and shirts, and I cant even try the clothes on because the fitting rooms are closed. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR CREDIT CARD. They try to get you to sign for their new credit card, then the card doesn t arrive for a couple months, and they rack up late fees. But when you call to warn them in advance they say it can be removed, until you finally get that card. Pathetic. It s a scam.

This is the absolute WORST Acadmey ever. They are so rude. They never have your pick up order ready in the 10 min guarantee and the lines are so long because they only have 1 or 2 checkers during peak hours. I will literally drive to Fort Worth to get my stuff if I HAVEA to buy something from academy.

Bought a lever action rifle from the gun counter, the rifle fails to eject the cartridge on the first use. I return to the gun counter to return the rifle for repairs per Academy policy. At that point I am told can you go do some shopping for 20 or 30 minutes while the guy that processes repairs does a load out The answer is no I can t I have a doctors appt that I drove in to town for and if I miss it they charge $50.00. The counter guy just stood there and looked puzzled with no clue what to do. I live 36 miles from the nearest Academy and to say this is an inconvenience is an understatement.

Went to purchase a gun with my wife. Travis was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped my wife feel comfortable as she checked different ones out. After bringing one out for purchase he was giving it a once over and noticed the safety didnt move like it was supposed to and took it back to bring us one that functioned properly. Love Academy, Im outdoors person, they have everything I need. My only probably with this store is the checkout process, always takes forever. I always purchase whatever I have in my hands at the time, but I really want to throw my stuff on the floor and leave. This location always has 20 to 30 people in line and only two registers open. I shop here atleast two times a week, the checkout time ruins any other plans I may have for the day.

Line was super long, from all of the back to school shoppers. Although the line was long, wait time to check out was not, they had plenty of registers open.
