This was our first time in. We will definitely be back!! The food was awesome. I had the Rasta pasta with Jerk Chicken, my husband had Jerk chicken with rice and cabbage. He finished his, but there was so much on my plate, I brought the rest of it home. I was a little surprised that no music was playing inside. But thats ok, we will go back

I came in around lunch time and it wasn t crowded but there was a steady stream of customers before and after I entered. I ordered curry goat with rice and peas and cabbage, along with a beef patty and sorrel. The food was delicious! The meat was tender and perfectly spicy, the rice and peas could ve had more beans but it tasted great as it was so I can t complain. The beef patty was flaky and had a little kick to it and the sorrel was TOP TIER. I ll definitely be back to try the oxtails next.

Jerk chicken was extremely flavorful and was literally falling off the bone. Rice was some of the best rice I have ever had...ever! Cabbage was super wilted but had a little bite to them, which is how I like them. Dont forget about the Roti - super flaky and buttery to soak up all of the juices. The only negative that I can think of is that the jerk chicken was a little on the mild side. I think next time, Ill order extra spicy. For spice-lovers like me, just something to think about. Highly recommend!

I ordered the goat curry. It was mostly bone and fat. Very little meat. I have no problem paying a premium price for premium food but it was mostly bone and served in a styrofoam box with a plastic fork. I also asked for the bathroom and was told we dont offer a public bathroom. I dont think its even legal to have a restaurant in TX without a restroom for your customers.

The food was fire I got the curry Goat with rice and cabbage! The only bad thing about this meal, I ate it too fast lol it was so good! 10 out of 10 recommended. 11.10.23 update.. I have been several times since my last review. I went today and got Jerk Cheese Burger. It was the best burger I ever tasted in my life. Listen to me, if you want to eat where the food is cared about, go here. They care about the food. No kids playing over you food in the kitchen with bad attitudes, This is some grown folks cooking in that kitchen. Still 10 out out of 10. and the food is always fresh and hot. I keep telling my self to wait 30 days to go back , but I cant. somebody help me

Have been wanting to stop here for years but could never seem to catch them in a day they were open. But boy howdy was it worth the wait! Was recommended the jerk chicken and the beef hand pies, everything was DELICIOUS. Tender meat seasoned beautifully, the plantains were perfectly cooked. Try the house made sorrel, a tangy sweet and lightly spiced beverage that s very refreshing. We ll be back, thank you for this authentic and lovely gem!

Let me start by saying this, the overall look of this place will make you feel like you are in the island and thats where it stops. I ordered the veggie plate, roti, and doubles. The food was seriously lacking flavor and spice. The roti and the doubles were burnt to a crisp. It was so burnt that when I opened it the burnt smell overwhelmed everything in the bag. I was very disappointed especially after hearing such great thing about this place.

I ve heard from friends and family that this place is expensive and it kind of is, but to be fair, it s cuz the food is like cultured and hand made. This is my first time having Jamaican food and coming here even though I initially lived in Burleson most of my life. I came here prepared for the prices, which are like $14-25 excluding the tax. I was new and the ladies infront helped me out very well, especially since I m Autistic. I appreciated the patience. With help I ordered the Jerk Chicken with Bread!! It s super delicious, I love bread and the natural bread taste was perfect, I highly recommend trying the drinks with your food, brings a whole new dimension of tastes. Though to be fair this was my first Jamaican style food haha. I m going to try to get my friend to come here to try it. Dietary restrictions: I asked for no red meat and the two ladies working helped me easily.

With real Jamaican food the sizes are very big, this place offers very small child like portions like the ox tail. do not order unless u want all bones! seems like alot of the food is frozen or reused. I spent 65 dollars for 2 people and the beef cakes was the only thing that was edible. I am a foodie and I do alot of food but this is by far the most way under subpar restaurants I am ever visited. do not subject yourself to this place. they should be really ashamed of there hearatige if they put out food like this.

Ive been wanting to try this joint for a couple yrs now, and I finally made it. I mean, I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The oxtails were not worth the $28 I spent for the meal. They were very tender. Thats a plus. But it also wasnt very much meat either. The cabbage was bland but not a big deal because cabbage is good either way to me, so that wasnt a loss. The rice and peas were a little dry. The cook or owner or whoever she was had a negative vibe but thats on her. The girl taking the orders was nice. Ive had a LOT of Caribbean dishes from Jamaica to the Virgin Islands to Turks and Caicos and so on. This would be the first time where I would not return. Guess Ill have to drive to Arlington. Or cook it myself.

Im glad I chew softly and thoroughly. While the flavors were great on my goat curry, the amount of shattered bone was not acceptable. Some bone is to be expected within reason. However, from tiny shards to easily seen chunks, had I bitten any harder than the gentle, exploratory bites I took, I would have broken teeth. While I loved the flavor of the rice, I would have preferred it not to have been a majority of the boxs weight. The shrimp jerk pasta was of very large portion with the pasta and vegetables again again, had wonderful flavors, but contained only 4 shrimp. Total cost for 2 dishes, no extras was 45 and some change. I wish I could say was worth it since the flavors were really good, but sadly am just glad I didnt break my teeth. Picture is of all the bones- and yes, I cleaned any meat I could get off them. If I were to go back, I would try the beef patty or maybe the chicken, but I would still bite and chew carefully, feeling for bone pieces. Service was great, from her opening the door to bringing the food out to our car (patio was still wet from rain).

Food was okay, flavor wasnt the best Ive tasted. But the atmosphere was different and reminded me of back a yard. Love the outdoor setting. Wish there was a in door option. Where you place your order at the entrance the area was too small. Kids meals are $8.00 really expensive and doesnt come with a drink. Otherwise this place is alright. Husband ordered the oxtail dinner only had 1 butter bean in his plate. Parking: Parking on side is limited but theres a lot thats available to park. Kid-friendliness: Lots of yard space for kids to run around Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a ramp, but there not a door for you to order if you are in a wheelchair.

Roti were basically tortillas, not Guyanese or trini style, oxtail was rubbery, plantains were slimy. The drinks were good, but very disappointed that I wasted my money. Let me start with saying I would love to rate them five stars but can t. I love their food. The goat curry and vegetarian options are very good. However, every time I want to get food from here they seem to be closed. Their hours are super not accommodating. Also, while I am willing to pay the price every once in a while this place is not cheap by any means. I would go way more often if it was more affordable. I want to support this local business more but they make it difficult to. I hope they last and change in the future.

I would give this a zero if I could. The portions and price are ridiculous. I got the oxtail and brown stew chicken. The rice was burnt and tasted burnt. The oxtail was burnt. The brown stew chicken was burnt. I am very disappointed. I was looking forward to an authentic jamaican meal, what I got was an overpriced burnt small portion meal. I am unfortunately still hungry. If you looking for a good jamaican meal in the area, I would not recommend this place.

For someone who was born and raised in the Jamaican culture, I wasnt really impressed. Curry chicken was salty, rice had a burnt smell and lite taste, cabbage was dry and the portion size for the price I paid was EXTREME! Hoping I may have caught them on a bad day but will never know because I do not plan on returning

Called in 2 Oxtail plates today and it tasted good.....only problem I have is portion size. As I stated it was good but my oxtails seemed to be 60% fat!!! When I pay $37 for 2 plates I just wanna feel like I was treated fairly. I finished my plate before my wife made it home for hers. She had the exact same complaint!!! No issues at all with taste though!

I didnt even know there was a Jamaican spot around Fort Worth, but i was for sure happy to find it. As soon as i pulled up i was excited. From the look, to the music, to the smells that hit my nose. I knew i was in for a good meal.....but when that food hit my lips..... i was wrong...IT WAS A GREAT MEAL. I could not have been happier with my decision. I will definitely be making the trip to Burleson for this lil spot. On a regular basis.

I wanted to try a new place for dinner this evening; I remembered passing this little hidden gem recently, & Ive never had Jamaican food before so I decided to try it. My husband & I invited some friends to meet us over there (we live in Fort Worth). I must say, I will DEFINITELY eat here again! The atmosphere is cozy & inviting, the staff was very friendly & accommodating, & the food was rich with delicious flavors that almost melt in your mouth...& I swear I could taste the love they put into making it. It came out pretty quick, and was not only in enormous portions but super fresh.I give it 5 stars all the way around!

Atmosphere was great! Service was good from the two young girls. The owner was not pleasant, for either time I visited. Food was ok , but greasy. Also, I asked for a taste of plantains..they said they needed to make from scratch...yet the rest of my entire meal came out very fast, faster than fast food. Disappointed since I love Jamaican food.

Perfectly seasoned and cooked goat Curry and plantains! The spice was throughout the dish which is testimony to the chefs skill. The fell off the bone and was juicy. Very chill spot, perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy a great meal.

Fantastic meal! I have been looking for Jamaican food ever since the little mom n spot truck in Hawaii left. You can smell all the delicious food being prepared in the back which gets your not eating as soon as you walk in. The goat curry I had was juicy and so tender it feel right off the bone, coupled with the perfectly fried plantains made for a delicious meal!

Food cooked to order. It was fresh and hot. The jerk chicken was tender and had flavor. My friend had the beef oxtails and she said they were tender and had flavor. The rice did not have a good taste so it wasnt that great. The cabbage was bland. The greens and plantains were delish. The place was clean and smelled good. Bathroom was clean. Service was good.

Had been wanting to try this place for a while. Read the reviews and decided that it was worth a try! Staff are super friendly and helpful. My wife and I got the jerk chicken and curry chicken. They were both very good. I asked about the goat dish when I was paying out and they brought out a sample for me to try. I was regretful that I had not ordered it. However I will be going back to get it. Awesome place if you want something different.

This is excellent Jamaican food! Had the goat curry with roti. The roti is actually a flaky layered paratha, which is even better in my opinion. Also had the Jerk Chicken wrap with maximum spicy and it tastes SO good, but definitely really really spicy and I eat lots of spicy food too. Ive been to Jamaica and had jerk chicken before and this is the closest thing Ive had to that taste. Has some decent lunch specials as well.
