This place is so wonderful. All the staff goes above and beyond to make my Mother in law comfortable and happy. Lynette is always a phone call or text away to help accommodate anything you might need. I am so grateful that my MIL can be living here. My husband and I are very happy.

Wow, this place is the best. Moving my dad has taken a lot of brain power but everyone here was so incredibly helpful. I wish I could call out everyone by name (and sorry for any misspellings) but Laura, Lynette, Tanya, Summer, and everyone in House A have just been fantastic. This was the best decision for my father, the energy there is so much better than the place he was currently in. Plus they always seem to be cooking and it always smells SO good. Everyone working here deserves a BIG raise!

In the last 4 years, our dad went from an independent living facility, to 2 different assisted living places, to memory care, and then to Mustang Creek Estate s (in a Memory Care house). Bottom line, we wish we had discovered Mustang Creek Estates 4 years ago! One of biggest assets to MCE is their all inclusive monthly rate. The previous care facilities where our dad lived had cafeteria-plan care. So, depending on the needs he had, the cost for care would go up for each additional need. We were relieved when we found Mustang Creek because, not only did they have the LOWEST memory care cost around, but no matter what care our dad needed, the cost would stay the same. The other amazing thing is the overall look of the place. The other facilities were just depressing. Mustang Creek s cottage-style houses are bright, cheerful, and look more like a HOME! Right when you walk in, you see an open concept living, dining, kitchen area that is clearly the heart of the residence - which really makes it feel like a home, not a facility . We really liked that about it. Lastly, we can not say enough about the staff & especially the executive director, Ginger! We had some challenges getting dad s care ironed out (as things were changing quickly for him), but they went above & beyond working with us to ensure our dad was getting the right medical & physical care that he needed. Unfortunately, our dad passed away very soon and didn t stay at MCE very long. But we have peace in the fact that Mustang Creek was the right place for him to be and would recommend this place to anyone who has a family member needing this type of care. We were extremely pleased with it. From: David s family.

They are so sweet and caring. They truly care about all of the residents. They have around the clock care and have wonderful food. I could never thank them enough. I am truly blessed to have found them! I can text easy knowing that my sister has people there to care for her. They take them on outings and have entertainment for them. They are never alone unless they want to be. This place is awesome. Thank you so much for the love you give.

4 because there is always room for improvement. New Director Terry in Burleson is on the ball, got the drier fixed, got rid of dishonest sitter, banished bedbugs in one day. The house is homelike and folks have their meals and watch tv like family. The sitters and house supervisor are patient, sweet, and caring. I wish patients had a way to enjoy the outdoors on nice days. It is a beautiful property.

I signed a contract on 10-26 with all intentions of moving my loved one in by 10-28. When I went to see my loved one on 10-28 she had a difficulty breathing. I talked to the staff and they recommended I call Hospice. Hospice evaluated her and admitted her to the hospice program. I returned to Mustang Creek to inform them that she suddenly developed health issues and I would not be able to move her in. I was told since I signed a contract she would still be charged for the first months rent because I had to write a paper giving a 30 notice to move out. I stated she had never moved in so a move out notice seemed unnecessary. I was told the contract had been signed so that was necessary. This was unforseen and I know businesses are there to make money, but to charge a woman that had never moved in a months rent and require a move out notication letter seem to lack any compassion at all. Had she moved in I could understand these terms.

My 95 year mother-in-law resided in a memory care home at Mustang Creek Estates. Her care and love from their staff was awesome! My mother-in-law shared at each of our visits she had found a new home with friends she saw daily in their many scheduled activities and parties. The culture created by the staff and administrators center around each individual resident s needs for a happy life. When the time comes for your family to look for a love ones care outside the home, I would recommend one of the many locations Mustang Creek Estates provides. Sincerely Greg

Do not put you loved ones in this home. The caregivers, for all their hard work, are only given two days of training(its just a full shift of work) and a four hour orientation before often being left completely alone with residents. Medication is handled in a bizarre fashion in order to allow unqualified staff to administer meds without technically handling it. Everything about this place is as barebones and barely legal as possible, and the only time anything is cleaned or freshened up is when state or families visit. Ever wondered why youre not allowed door codes to come and go as you please and check on your family member? Its so that you cant be left alone with them in the house or sneak up on staff doing unethical shortcuts. Your family member likely isnt eating enough. Thats because most of the food is thrown together straight out of the freezer by people who can barely cook well enough to feed themselves, let alone fifteen elderly residents. The menus are never followed. Its a numbers game for staff forced to be the janitor, nurse, chef, therapist, councilor, and maid every day, often by themselves. This place is a disgrace to the concept of health, and if there was any justice in the world the people in it would never be faced with the casual greed and cruelty of Management. Do yourself a favor, and let this hovel of incompetent shysters pass you by.

This place is painfully understaffed!! The Executive Director Val does nothing but talk. She will lie directly to your face about what she has done with or for your family member. My brother recently moved in and he has not seen her once yet she claims to visit each house multiple times a day. There are some amazing loving caregivers here but without proper leadership that will not last long. Just in the short time my brother has been there we have seen several of the amazing caregivers leave. Now there are new faces daily which equals very inconsistent care. It is so sad to know that these places are allowed to stay open like this.

We did not expect to ever need to place our parents in Assisted Living; however, when our father had a massive heart attack the day after Thanksgiving we were told he & my mother could no longer live on their own. Katie and the staff helped us feel comfortable about placing them in Mustang Creek. In addition, they were extremely caring & compassionate during my father s illness while we worked through the details of his terminal illness & Hospice. We would have been lost without this team of compassionate caregivers & administrators alike.

The care and the people working with your family member are very good and caring. The owners and management are cold and uncaring. Be prepared when your loved one dies, you will still be on the hook for another month of rent (not exactly cheap) because you are still required to give 30 days notice of moving out.....even though that is impossible!!!!

If you love your parent do NOT send them here! The employee turnover rate is ridiculous. In 1 year we have been through 3 directors. My dads room was always filthy, smelly, sticky, gross! My dad reeked of urine and feces along with bed sores. The employees are not properly trained on medication safety, fall prevention or signs of a stroke. Not only did my dad fall at their facility no one called 911, a family member or a DR. He had a head bleed because of this fall. The employees are some of the most disrespectful people I have ever met. They display zero customer skills. When an issue arises they will scream at you, blame your elderly one etc. Nothing is ever their fault. They look nice from the outside but this place is a literal hell hole!

Some times life will throw us a curve that we didnt see coming, this is about how a facility helped with that. Three years ago my wife fell and suffer an BTI, this changed our lives forever. I took care of her 24/7 up until a Dr Lee made me see the light, I needed help, just one person cant deal with this long term. My research lead me to Mustang Creek. From the moment I entered the door the staff made me feel right at home. The questions were asked and the decision was made the same day, and arrangements were made to secure a room in the assisted living plus home.. The home is warm and home like setting. The staff is caring and well informed. My wife is and epileptic and needs to be monitored closely all the time. Melissa, the site director has first hand experience with this condition and has trained her staff on how to deal with the condition. It a problem arises they call me on how to work with it. I cant say enough about this director and her staff, they truly provide me with peace of mind that Lynda is getting the best care possible . Thank you Melissa and staff.

Guess what they are out again and what did the staff do... Stop by and ask my grandmother if she had any additional batteries to replace the dead ones. Seriously folks what kind of show are you running here. Get the buildings some batteries... Seriously do not know how the State has not audited you guys yet.

We placed my grandmother originally in assisted-living - where they assessed her to be appropriate - even though she was already been in memory care for over a year. It became apparent in A day or so she could not manage to live there. It took us almost 2 weeks to get her over to the memory care facility and much of the staff acted as though we had put them out. My grandmother s room was not cared for properly, I don t believe I ever saw her bed made, her bed sheets and comforter were dirty, the bathroom never appeared to be cleaned, I don t believe that they ever came in and did any type of housework. Not only that, much of the time the TV was not turned on and when it was it was not appropriate content for people who were memory impaired. It was usually more with the staff seemed to enjoy. We even ask a staff member once right before we left about the state of my grandmother s room which she answered, why haven t been here for four days so I don t know. And then she began to go back to eating her own lunch, which was more substantial than the residents. After she finished her lunch, she called the manager and proceeded to complain about my mother who had ask about why my grandmother s room had not been cleaned and complained about my mother saying anything about it to her. While my mother and I stood at the door waiting to be let out, like children, because they refused to let family have code access. I actually got in trouble by one of the management on the day we were leaving, because I used the code to let myself out when no one else would let us in or out because they were too busy. I explained to her that family know not to let people out and that I want access to my loved one at all times. I do not want to have a lock that I cannot get into standing between me and my family. That made me uncomfortable. This is a terrible, terrible facility. They have staff who are not registered state of Texas home health aides because it s a private pay facility. They do not have the proper staff to do medication. And they do not have strong leader ship because we went through at least two managers in the five weeks we were stuck there. We thought bringing my grandmother back home to Burleson - three minutes away from my mom and I s house and 10 minutes away from my uncle - would give us a sense of peace knowing that she was close at hand. However, we went back to Bethesda Gardens because the staff there are tremendous, they love the people that live there, and they have appropriate staff to care for memory impraired patients. No place is perfect but steer clear of here.

The concept is great and the homes are very nice. However, after less than two weeks I had to remove my wife who has Alzheimers. Three days before I removed my wife, the director resigned. Though it was unrelated, the impact was devastating. The acting director never returned my calls after my daughter and I had been contacted one morning that my wife would not take her meds or cooperate with the staff. There in lies the issue I encountered: all the staff is not sufficiently trained to properly handle dementia patients. There were a couple of caregivers who understood dementia but the others, as loving as they were, did not. I asked if my wife had been checked for a UTI, and the staff member did not know what a UTI was. My daughter routinely found my wife unbathed and without shoes. So after having another memory care facility come take my wife, she is doing so much better. So well trained personnel as listed on Mustangs brochures is not correct.Find somewhere else for memory care. Somewhere that specializes with it because your loved one deserves it.
