I literally drive from North Austin just to come to the Buda location. It s always clean. The staff are amazing but what led me to write this review was the server that I had tonight. She is just phenomenal. I mean she goes above and beyond to care for her customers. She s so attentive and kept checking to see how we re doing with our food. We didn t have to ask for refills she saw we were getting low on our drinks and asked if we d like to have it refilled. If you come here make sure to ask for Emily she was just amazing. She will treat you as if your family and that spoke volume to me. Emily you made my day! Keep doing the amazing job you do!

I love Chilis so this review is only regarding this location. I ve eaten out of convenience at this Chilis twice now. The first time was okay, this second time was not good. I always order the big mouth bites but this time it was just a regular burger and bun cut in half, not even into fourths with the individual buns. It also didn t have the usual toppings that come on the sliders. Very weird that someone thought it would be okay to serve it that way. For the fajitas, it tasted like the griddle top wasn t cleaned because you could taste variations of other things cooked on the beef fajitas. I m giving 2 stars because our server was nice and attentive and the soda tasted fresh but the food itself needs work. I didn t want to complain to our server as I just wanted to eat and leave. I ve also worked in a restaurant and know that not much can be done about it anyway, or you re the table that the servers talk bad about for the rest of the night. I love Chilis and know that the food isn t going to be a Michelin star meal but it s still a meal that people are paying for and want to enjoy eating. I think some retraining of the kitchen staff would be beneficial.

What can I say? Its a Chilis. This Chilis seems about average. Neither much better or much worse than other locations. Sometimes we have had terrible service, sometimes its decent. Nowadays a meal at McDonalds and Chilis cost the same amount, and Chilis is a lot better.

We only went because my wife had a 15 dollar gift card. I wanted a country fried steak but It wasnt on the menu. My wife said get the ribs and I told her I had those the last time, 5 years ago, and they didnt taste like other places I ate ribs. Tried to order online and the nachos are not on the website to order. Tried the app but it kept crashing when I select start your order. Called the store to place my pick up order. Waited on hold for 5 minutes to be told the to go order specialists were busy and to order online. I told the person I tried but I wasnt able to order nachos through the website. She asked me to hold again. I hung up after waiting for another 5 minutes. Horrible customer service.

Me and Pratt have been coming to this Chikis for years and now I dont think I will ever eat at this one again. Im a rewards member there, we have always celebrated things there examples my new job, his new job, that we were expecting usually always our go to spot. I got a gift card from work and wanted to treat us out to a nice family outing on 2/16/2024. We had gotten Marshall the kids cheeseburgers, Pratt had smokehouse platter, and I had a burger. We had a little wait for our food but had our chips and salsa to help. When time to leave I let Mia our waitress who was great know we had a gift card then will pay the remaining balance. She said no problem she would be right back with the check. Brought it to us only $21 left over so thats easy enough! I mean why use a gift card if your just going to get screwed over? So since Mia was running all over Pratt took the receipt to the kiosk where (Dustin) the manager was at with someone else. I watched as Pratt stood there waiting for one of them to even acknowledge him. Finally they did, he came back with confused look on his face. He gave me the receipt which right away I noticed showed an alarming $58.76. He said they told him it will show this but then on my bank account it will show the leftover balance. I was already confused because the amounts didnt add up. So I check my bank account and sure enough the $58 was pending not the left over. So I said nope its not right so he then went over back to them. At this time Mia came over and I explained what the issue was and she said oh no thats not right. She then went over there. What happened was the manager charged us a different tables ticket. So then Mia and him come over to take my card to cancel this transaction and do a charge for correct amount. Ok great so she brings back correct receipt with showing only $21.58 will be charged this time. So I sign we leave night over. Then 2 days later I check and BAMMMM not only did the $58 take out but a $31.58 charged to my account as well. So I call Chilis in Buda and asked for manager. Yesi I believe how it is spelled got on phone with me. I explained the situation she said she found the one for $58 and put in for request for refund for the $68.76 that will take up to 5 -7 buisness days. Great perfect. No not great. Waited the time called since I had not seen anything. She said yes she submitted it that day we talked she and email a request to track it and see where its at. I said yes, she said she was going to be off then back again on Tuesday this week after 3pm to call back then. Ok I did and guess what, she then tried to say she called me 3 times right after we last talked but couldnt remember what day it was but she tried 3 times no answer. 1st off I wouldve answered but if I didnt why not leave a voice-mail? So I moved past that and asked what she found out. She said that corporate denied it asking why she (I) wanted more money then I paid for. So I then again asked if she explained to them I was charged twice. She was like you had to receipts that night I said yes like when I first explained it to you. She said well I got the approval for the $58.76 only. I said is that going to take another 5-7 days before I see my refund. She said yes 5-7 days. I said and what about my other money she said I would have to talk to the other manager its not technically her job then said that I could call corporate. So I asked for their number and she said for me to WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE 5-7 DAYS. Like no Ive already waited long enough. So I said no Im calling them now. She told me I could Google their number. When i said I always eat here but not anymore and that this is ridiculous she only said sorry you felt that way. Im sorry but if this is how Buda Chilis is I will never recommend it again. To lose a customer due to their mess up. Be careful with when you actually look at what you are paying. The one I saw before the guy gave Pratt the 58 had all correct items of ours on there. Buda Chilis do better.

Server was friendly and attentive. Order came out missing an ingredient and they fixed it. Then burger was rare or raw, ordered medium. Then drink was way too sweet. Just okay food, nothing special even when it was all fixed it was kind of blah. French fries were delicious. Bright light in face entire meal gave me a headache.

The beef fajitas are not good. Less than half a mile away you have Taco Clem, which in terms of meat quality is about 5 stars, and cheaper. Chilis uses frozen, low quality meat that has been bathing in preservatives and paipan. The meat is tough, and it was overcooked before they put it on the hot padilla.

I love Chilis.. My favorite is the chips& salsa, I cant even make it home before the salsa is all gone. I have always ordered from the Chilis on Stassney & IH 35 Frontage Rd Austin, Tx and I love the staff, food, & atmosphere here. I always order for take out & everytime I go to pick up the order I ask for extra Salsa & chips and never do I get an attitude from the staff or rudely comment you have to pay for it. They give it to me with a smile and very sweet. But, when I came to this location Buda, Tx to pick up our order there wasnt anyone around to get my paid order. I waited & waited so then when I saw my name on an order I was about to grab it a very rude staff person said dont do that. I told her Ive been waiting for a while now & my food is probably cold plus this order is also for my senior father which its getting late and his food is cold. She didnt apologize or say anything but rolled her eyes and handed me our cold food. She forgot my chips and salsa that I paid for so when she went to grab that I asked for extra chips & salsa she said you have to pay for it. I said wow even the attitude, long wait, & cold food. No thanks I walked out. Then as Im about to drive away she walks out and is smoking a cig with a few workers just looking at me with that stank look & laughing. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN I just cant believe people like this Work in the hospitality field and yet expect people to tip them when they treat people like that & for the company to allow this behavior is appalling. The dish I ordered I was not happy and pleased with. Its like I pay $20. And I got half of the dish that I normally get. They have gone down here especially at this location

We used to love Chilis, but the service and food quality have gone downhill. I ordered bone in wings. When my plate arrived, the waitress said, I dont know why they gave you all flats, but I like all flats. My response to her was, But I dont. I like the combination of flats and drumsticks. The waitress said, Do you really want me to take the plate back? I said yes, please. We never saw her, again. Until we needed the check is when we received refills. My kids quesadilla had little to no cheese, and our food was cold . Not at all what this place used to be about.

Terrible terrible service. My wife ordered a burger and fries. When her meal was brought out the waiter mentioned the fries were being made and he would bring them out as soon as they were done. After 20 minutes when we were done eating waiting for a server to acknowledge us so we can get our ticket, pay, and leave he brings her fries out in a to go box like we didn t just wait the entire meal out for them. I had wings which were absolutely disgusting and coated in what seemed like raw flour just a goopy gross mess. Definitely do not recommend this chilis.

Ive never been a fan of Chilis or any commercial restaurant. The table was dirty and the order was wrong and whoever the executive is that thought that paying at the table was a good idea was definitely wrong. dont waste your money, support local businesses

So I take my family here for my wifes birthday. We experienced some very outstanding customer service from our waiter Josh. Not only was he above and beyond with customer service but everyone who asked us if we needed anything or brought out our food. The food was amazing everything was perfect for a nice evening. We love to have amazing service and will be back for this one. Thanks guys.
