They have the best food i have had in a long time almost like grandma cooking and our server Kelsey was absolutely outstanding she was very quick and stayed on top of refills of drinks and even offered desserts after but was so full from huuuge chicken fried steak but talked me into taking some Togo let s just say when I got home and ate it It was just so good buttermilk pie is a must when going to visit even packed some whipped cream and Carmel drizzle so I could warm up cake i will be back sooner than later

My friends and I often like to branch out and explore different dining options every other weekend or so when we get the chance. Cotton Patch by no means fell short of my standards! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. Our server Angie was very welcoming and made sure we were taken care of and the food resembled an authentic homecooked meal! The Dr Pepper chocolate cake was so unique and tasty. I plan to return soon!

Cotton Patch has become one of my go-to spots for lunch and or dinner. From their HomeStyle Favorites to their On The Grill & HandHelds they offer a wide variety of menu options. That deliver scratch-made, great tasting food consistently. They have their dine-in only Texas Value Meals that offer a different entree each day of the week. Along with their Special Classic Meals that are smaller portions of select menu options. If you are a fan of Dr Pepper they have specialty inspired entrees along with a Chocolate Cake dessert that definitely has to be tried. A family-friendly restaurant that is very reasonably priced. In a nice laid back atmosphere, that delivers great food & a pleasant dinning experience. Shout-out to Angie and the entire staff for always being so attentive and for all the amazing service & great food!

A little disappointed overall. Not sure what this is on my knife, but luckily I didn t need to use one. Not sure what happened to all the dumplings in the chicken and dumplings. It didn t have very many. Not as good as I remembered. Started to order my meal online to go so I saw the prices ahead of time. A piece of carrot cake sitting at the table is actually $1.50 more than the price to go. I was trying to get out of there for under $20 including tip. Even having the $10 daily special and water it didn t happen.

When we go there to eat we ask for the server Angelica P., my wife and I love her friendliness, personality, and professionalism. I am amazed on how she is ready to serve, with a smile on her face every time. This young lady creates an air of comfort which my wife and I love, especially after a hard week of work. We are new around this area, so we have been eating out more than normal, so we have been to right many restaurants around here but, when we visited the Cotton Patch, when you walk in the door, it looks very inviting and welcoming the waitresses are so kind, polite,everyone there made us feel like family. Tried chicken fried bacon for the first time in my life, and I can guarantee you it will be the last. The waiter was amazing! He was very kind, very fast, and very helpful. Dietary restrictions: They have an excellent allergy menu, and very well described precautions. Most of their fried food are egg-free, which is very hard to find. They also have an extensive egg-free menu, which is fantastic for those of us who have horrible allergies.

Back in Texas for a few days. Its been a few years since eating at Cotton Patch, I was looking forward to their chicken fried steak. Arrived at 7pm. The place was deserted. Staff was not friendly, borderline rude. The food arrived overcooked and barely warm. As soon as our food was served, one of the waitresses started sweeping with a straw broom, (stirring up dust to settle on us and our food). We had been seated at a booth. We didnt notice for a while the the wall at the back of the booth was smeared with food. It looked like gravy maybe mashed potatoes. It had obviously been done by a child, small hands. When it was pointed out to the waitress, she wasnt concerned. She said it would probably get cleaned after the place closed. Very disappointed, I cannot recommend.

1st time ordering, am not impressed. Ordered the beef tips $20, which are described as choice steak tips. Its pot roast 100% not at all what i expected or wanted. Had 2 lbs of mashed potatoes under the 6 small chunks of roast. Is blatant ripoff because some roast and potatoes is far from a $20 entree. Food was ok but wont go back after getting ripped off. Have never been to a Cotton Patch. Didnt know what to expect. The last 18 months Ive done the Cracker Barrel twice and it was a hit and a miss respectively, altho first time visiting one of them, too. Have never tried Cheddars, either, but pretty much have felt they were prolly all the same kind of idea. Leaving the theater after many flicks, I finally asked a buddy, have you ever eaten at one of these and what are they like? They mumbled something and that was the end of that discussion. A week or so later, were trying to find somewhere not crowded on a Saturday, more on the healthier and savory side. The buddy suggests, hey, what about that place over by the theater youve not tried before. Welp, this is the same buddy thats taken me to Cracker Barrel twice and it was good first time, definite lets not do this again the 2nd time, types of experiences, and they LOVE the Cracker Barrel, so wasnt certain what to expect for Cotton Patch. Walked in, its quiet, oh thank you. Greeted right away, seated and quickly the server is out and is absolutely a joy. And really, many servers walking by smiled towards us as tho they really enjoyed their days at work. Our server was super patient with my buddy, eager to find out if the tap to pay was working (thats brought to the table, cuz it had been broken for awhile) when I was asking about that, regularly checked to see if our drinks were ok, offering refills (absolutely not fun when you feel youve gotta hunt down someone for more pop) on both beverages and rolls. Its not like the place is empty, the servers each had a min 4 tables, some tables 5+ ppl. What got me the most, tho, was how each and every table had at least 1 elderly person (70+, yes, including mine) at it, and that person was fully engaged in convo with everyone else. Its as tho ppl know to come to this place cuz youre treated well and the food is actually not only really tasty, but healthy. My buddy had the Angus with gravy and chopped onions and something else smothered on top and he was elated that the gravy didnt taste like it came from a can (like sadly many places do these days). But what especially got them excited, the broccoli was STEAMED, not microwaved and had such good flavoring to it (they LOVE their veggies). I enjoyed immensely some chicken salad dish with corn salsa, black beans, avocado ranch, tortilla strips, purple cabbage. Heck, we wanted healthy, we not only got it, but it was VERY good, amazingly so. It was a long, outta the way drive to come here, but certainly glad we did and wouldnt mind making the trip several more times, if this is the norm for Cotton Patch.

Stay away! This place has gone downhill. I had the fried fish and shrimp. The shrimp was deep fried so long that it was hard as a rock. The fish was overcooked enough that it had no flavor. This was the last time Ill order from here. As its been some time since I posted this and have not received a reply Im guessing this embarrassment of a restaurant has been shut down.

A colleague and myself stopped her after a difficult day at work. We were immediately seated, drinks and appetizers brought out just as fast and main entrees just as delicious. But what made this a great dining experience was our server Cassidy! She was super sweet, very efficient and professional. Thank you Cassidy!! You are amazing!!

We were seated quickly and were fortunate to have an excellent server by the name of Anna M. she was knowledgeable, professional and great at suggestive upselling. The meal arrived quick, fresh and hot. I don t eat meat and asked for extra black beans on my Southwest salad, and they delivered outstandingly. This Cotton Patch is definitely one of the best ones we have frequented and I would highly recommend it to everyone!!! Thank you for a great meal!!

This place don t even deserve a star. We went to eat in person and my husbands salad had a hair (looked like an ayelash) in the dressing. He didn t wanted to eat anymore so they gave us the plate he order to go. Next day he warmed up the plate (it was closed) in the microwave. While he was eating, he found a long hair in the baked potato (He threw up). Like if they put it in purpose! NEVER GOING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!

I had redeemed a birthday dessert in the back corner of the apartment, at the Order To Go Counter, after my dine in experience. So first the young man had to ask for help on how to purchase a free dessert in their kiosk, then walked away to order the cooks to make my order. First, the he handed the cook a dessert box, with his bare hands and smeared his fingers all over the inside of the box. No gloves. Next, the cook had put the dessert in the styrofoam dessert box in a microwave, a plain sight of where I was standing. He microwaved a styrofoam box...the cook was dumb enough to melt the box and his coworkers stood around and giggling while the cook had to clean up the mess in the microwave. The cooks need to be wearing gloves, nonetheless have proper training on how to prepare food.

Food is OK for what it is, but the service during our visit was abysmal. We were seated and served in a reasonable time, but when a 10 top came in, our server disappeared to chase their tip. She never once appeared back at our table for about 45 minutes after that table showed up. I got the all-you-can eat fish, never made it past the first plate because there was nobody checking. Our drinks were empty and my wife wanted some ranch, but nobody was home. I watched another table of 4 come in and be seated just to wait a half hour without anyone even taking their drink order. They got up and walked out. We couldnt even get our check until I flagged another server down and asked for it. He told our server, then I watched her actually take a personal call on her cell phone for several minutes before finally delivering our check so we could leave. Management needs to manage their employees. I havent left a zero tip in 15 years, but I did tonight.

Great lunch specials- we ordered a filet mignon with squash casserole and the house salad. The steak was amazingly delicious. It was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. The squash casserole was also incredible. It was so good, we wished we had ordered double instead of having the house salad. The salad was good, just not as much as the squash. The price for both steak dinners was $24 (I think, if not, it was in the ballpark). The rolls were also hot and delicious.

I got sick from a cobb salad. We asked about bread and never got it. They claimed that they were cleaning the oven. We ate around 7ish. We waited a long time for our food and the place was almost empty.
