The atmosphere is great and relaxing. We got there early and h we were served very quickly. The mini taco appetizer is great and tasty. The green cream sauce is nice and spicy. I prefer the red salsa that comes with the chips. Great flavor and a little head. Cant go wrong with the Margarita Mangonada.

It a clean restaurant and the wait staff is friendly . There were 4 tables less than full when we arrived and it still took 25 mins for my girlfriend s beef tacos to come out. The waitress brought me some charro beans while I waited for my veggie burrito. When my food arrived, the plate was warm, the bare tortilla was lukewarm warm and the inside was made up of cold refried beans, guacamole and lettuce. The two bites I had were not palatable and I sent it back and got a refund. I think this was due to a lack of preparation in the kitchen and a very inexperienced cook. The tacos were mediocre at best with a small scoop of rice and no lettuce or pico. Though this is my second time here, it will unfortunately be my last.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time a few months ago and have tried it serval times sense then. The food has always been good. No complaints there. But like others have said, the service needs much improvement. There was one gentleman who did a great job. But as for the other female waitress, they do get caught up in conversation. You have to wait a good amount of time before they come check on you. Yes, waiting on your food takes forever. It seems as if they only have one cook back there. We have even tried ordering it to go. They tell you 15-20 mins. It s more like 25-30. One time we called in an order, they told me 15 mins. We didn t get there till about 25 mins later. When I got there, the hostess told me they hadn t even started on our food yet, cause they had a big party in the restaurant. If that was the case you shouldn t have told me 15 mins. So if you don t mind waiting and not getting the best service, then, The food is good. Just be prepared to wait.

Went there for a weekday lunch. Maybe 6-7 tables of customers. Took over 5 minutes to even be greeted. Another table that came in right after us had their drinks before our waitress even came by. We gave her our drink order and food order at the same time since we were ready. We ordered fajitas and a chicken dish. A few minutes later another table comes in and sits down behind us. 15 minutes later their food, which included a fajita plate comes out. 35 minutes since we placed our order still no food and the first table that came in right after us had eaten and was paying their bill. They told us the chicken was causing the delay. Chicken doesn t take 35 minutes to cook. They forgot our order. We walked out after being in there for 40 minutes and only getting our drinks and chips. Lost a repeat customer today.

Food was good enough for the price. The problem was the waiting staff. Food took a long time to come out even with just 3 other people in there There were 5 waiting staff just all talking to each other My wife watched them and told me and I turned around to see them and they saw me looking but did not get a clue to stop talking and come to our table. My wife finally flagged one down literally waving her arms. ( I was a bit embarrassed) They never came to our table once after serving They were lucky and got 10% tip.

Made it over to Bryan to give this place a try. We started with the stuffed jalapeño w/ steak appetizer. My goodness these are fantastic! I also loved the chips and salsa. I ordered tacos with rice and beans. Not sure if the taco shells are homemade or not but they were somewhat stale to me. The rice was very good. My partner had fajaitas with a sauce. They were pretty good. The flour tortillas tasted raw to me. Very floury like it needs more cooking. Not a bad place, just a few issues that need to be corrected.

I had been there before, a while ago and decided to try it out again. This day we were sat in the back and there was trash all over the floor and under our table. Someone apologized for the mess after a big party. They could have sat us somewhere else or have us wait a little while they clean up our table. The food was ok.

This is possibly one of the worst Mexican food places in Bryan. I get that it s family owned and most of the wait are of younger kids, but that is no excuse for the subpar service. I watched our waitress talking to another staff member, not bothering to do her job or check in the kitchen if the food was ready for the majority of the time we were there. Our food took an extraordinarily long time to come out, and part of the reason for that I suspect was that the waitress didn t know it was ready. When the food came out, the plate was scalding hot but the food itself was warm. So either the enchiladas were not freshly made, or the plate sat under a heat lamp for 10 minutes due to the negligence of the wait staff. That isn t even mentioning that the enchiladas were downright worse than something I can make at home. Whoever smothers enchiladas with velveeta cheese should be fired and blacklisted from cooking for other people from life. TLDR: Inaccessible wait staff and inedible food makes this a HARD pass. Definitely do not come here if you re on a time crunch.

Ive eaten here or have had delivery since early 2019. Their 3 taco appetizer is so good, youd think that was your meal (I tend to get those to go for later eats). Im not a fan of peach in terms of eating, but their frozen peach margarita, HELLO , so good I order the large and ask for the rim to have the sal y azúcar combo, ooh ooh yum! The salsas they bring with the chips are super mild, however, I ask for la una mas picante, and Im brought a thicker green, not really salsa, more like additive, for the meal or to add to the other salsas to spice them up. Its like smashed jalapeno sludge, and although not appealing to the eye, does its job VERY well! The homemade tortillas are best when eaten warm, but are very filling, so I tend to eat only 1 and take home the rest. Ive not eaten anything for which Ive said I wouldnt order again. After 5 years, thats impressive They are always busy lunch time M-F, so I prefer coming after 1400 for their great service and clean, quaint, authentic dining

Shouldve have tried this place again, this is the 2nd time in a row I got my whole order messed up and the quality was trash. Ordered a fajita pablano plate, I mean youd expect fajitas with pablano peppers(like it says). Instead the manager said its made like with and had a creamy sauce. And had mushrooms not at all what I wanted or ordered. And then the churros snapped like a brick. Couldnt even have the decency to say he was wrong. But apparently my eyes were wrong when I missed the part of it having mushrooms or a creamy sauce, (with the pablano peppers cooked in the sauce,as he put it) When the description doesnt say that. And for $30 just for those 2 things, yes Im livid to the fact of he couldnt admit he was in the wrong.

Service was exceptional as was the food. We both got the chili relleno plate which was outstanding. The free chips and salsas (2 kinds) were delicious. We also got margaritas. You have to try the mango option rimmed with Tajin. The bill was just under $50 and well worth it. Will definitely go back next time Im in Bryan.

Really good dinner overall and some of the best corn tortillas Ive ever had! I had the Carne Guisada, and for $10.99 I walked away more than satisfied with the amount of food and the taste! My bride had the cheese enchiladas with red sauce. Exactly what you expect, and the leftovers were even better this morning. Very spacious dining area that was pleasant, and our waitress (Lucy) was super attentive and nice. My food highlights were the corn tortillas, charro beans, and the warm chipotle salsa. We will 100% be back again. Parking: We got there early (5:30PM) and parked directly in front of the restaurant.

I had their house margarita that was mostly a cheap mix and very disappointing for someone who loves margaritas. I also had their chicken fajitas for 1. It came out with two crispy flour tortillas so eating a fajita out of them was quite the challenge, at least the meat tasted ok, but again very disappointed. While the server was nice she was not very attentive to the table and several of us ran out of drinks while waiting on our food.

Went in today for lunch. It was not busy but there was a large group of what I would say 20 ppl who were being attended to more than other guest. We waited 15 mins before we were helped. We got chips and salsa and it took what it felt like another 15 mins for our drinks to reach our table. At this point we were very hungry and tired of waiting the table next to us also was experiencing this same issue and voiced to us that she had been there for over an hour and that the waiter claimed her ticket was lost due to the large group that she was also waiting on. After waiting another twenty minutes and still hadn t received any food nor had our waiter check in on us we decided to walk out. It was sad seeing multiple workers walking around glimpsing at us while we waited and I saw Alejandra the owner walk around a couple times I wished I could ve stopped her and brought this to her attention. After this whole ordeal idk if I will be back or if I ll continue to recommend this place to others.

The food is amazing - they have the best carnitas in town...as an entree or as a quesadilla - and the jalapeño salsa is second to none! 5 stars for the food. The service though is what brings my review down to 4 stars for Cilantros. In the last handful of times weve been there, the service has consistently been bad. It starts out strong with the hostess and chip person - they are pleasant and fast - then it starts going down hill. The waitresses are not efficient and are often standing behind the counter staring at the tables, rather than checking on their customers or going back to the kitchen to see how many minutes remain on their tickets. Many times we have to go to the front to get our own drink refills, and when the waitresses do come to your table, you better ask for everything you need (refill, missing item/more of something/the check) because it will be a while until they come back around. This is very disappointing for how good the food is. The good thing is, bad service can be fixed. Whether its having more staff, or better training your current staff, something needs to be done to improve the overall experience. Also, it would go a long way if someone in leadership from the restaurant would go around and make sure that everything is good, or at least apologize for slow, lacking service and/or long wait times for the food. That being said, I would not let the service deter you from checking out Cilantro, if you have not tried it already. The good food keeps us coming back!

We didnt get any chips or salsa; how do you not get chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant? Apparently we were the only table that didnt get the chips and salsa. The food was not great. The tortillas for my husbands tacos were falling apart; he couldnt pick them up because the tortilla would tear and fall apart. The beans tasted like they came from a can. The rice was good. The food was amazing, a fun casual place for lunch or dinner. Our server was very patient and eager to help us, but was clearly new to the job. She did an amazing job despite this, taking extra trips to the kitchen when she couldnt answer a menu question. Food: They have pretty good horchata, great complimentary tortilla chips and salsas, and both their flour and corn tortillas are made in house! Definitely a homemade taste, thicker corn tortillas and cooking marks on the flour tortillas. The refried beans were ok, but the charro beans were fantastic. Especially if you get a taco, fajita, or other item with tortillas I would highly recommend getting the charro beans to dip the tortilla in their juices. The rice was also surprisingly flavorful. The rollito was fantastic, with juicy steak wrapped around melted cheese, jalapeños and shrimp. Tons of flavor. The Carne asada was very good, and had roasted jalapeños and queso fresco on top. Very fun to wrap some in a Tortilla and dip in charro beans. The enchiladas with chicken fajita meat inside were also amazing, especially with green tomatillo sauce. No need for the cheese sauce, they come with cheese on top already. Vegetarian options: They have vegetable Fajitas, and plenty of large appetizers. Dietary restrictions: Tons of low carb options, seems like gluten free options too but it isnt marked on the menu.

Then after ordering a food item they returned and stated that I needed to order a bigger item and they were ONLY going to sell us small margaritas instead of the size we were paying for. IT WAS VERY CLEAR THEY DID NOT WANT TO SERVE US SO WE LEFT PEACEFULLY. IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TO GO ELSEWHERE. They offer you a good amount of food for the prices you pay, and they give you some really tasty chips and (red and green) salsa as a service for eating there. Probably the best Mexican food in town!

Visiting Bryan for a long weekend. Food was amazing. Ordered grilled shrimp quesadillas...wow! The homemade tortillas made it awesome. Wife has chicken flaunts amd said they were great as well. Margaritas were ok...not great. Service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!!

Just moved to the area and was craving Tex Mex. The rice was awesome and the fajita meat was flavorful and a great price. Got it to go and the lady at the front was so kind. Thank you for the great experience. You are my go to place!!

This is the place for Fajitas! My favorite is Fajitas Poblanas. Meat is tender and cooked nicely caramelized on the outside and medium well on the inside. Drinks are great too. Parking: It tough to find parking near the restaurant on a busy weekend evening but easy when its during the week. Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids menu .. when we go with kids we ask to sit towards the back wall with greenery..so that the kids are able to move around that area.

The food was okay. But the service was terrible. They were not overly crowded and we were seated right away. There seemed to be enough servers so I am not sure why it took so long to take our order. I took a while to get our food, but maybe the kitchen was short staffed. However the orders of fajitas were not complete and our server never came back with the rest of the food. In fact the server only came back to give us our check, never checked with our table at all. The manager did comp a meal which we appreciated, but not sure if we will return.

Not your typical Tex-mex place. Salsa is served warm. Green sauce is garden veggie as opposed to avocado. Food is good and the atmosphere can be summarized as Frida Kalo. Parking is limited, so try to carpool when going here. Margaritas are tasty too. Parking: There are 8-12 spots right in the front and several more within a short walk. On a busy night, plan on dropping off the mobility limited persons at the front door and driving / walking a short way to get back.

Do not recommend at all. Go spend your hard earned money eslewhere.

We had friends recommend this restaurant to us. The food was good, but we asked questions on a couple of items that the server just got wrong, which resulted in food that some of us couldnt eat. The house margarita had a blueish green tint, so you know its a mix, not fresh. Overall, probably not the right place for me.

The food was very good, yet we had the queso for an appetizer, it was barely warm when we reviewed it, so after a few bites it was cold. Wheelchair accessibility: They need to have more then 1 ramp to get into the restaurant patio and trim the growth on the ramp. The ramp is only on one side of the parking lot only
