I like shopping at Krogers but you got to have that Krogers card cuz if you dont then youll be paying an arm and a leg for your groceries. They have a wide variety of things that you cant find elsewhere which I love.

From time to time they engage in false and misleading advertising Their marketing gimmicks include higher prices with buy 5 or 10 items to get a dollar off on each or using digital coupons to get a lower price. Discriminates against older individuals who live alone and are on a fixed income. Why dont they cut out the marketing gimmicks and just lower prices. Save on the salaries of the marketing staff.

Only one star is appropriate here. The only reason I will give any star is because they have some great deals on 12 packs of Dr. Pepper, and Pepsi. Otherwise, I felt it to be my obligation to inform yall what happened to me last night while shopping for sodas and a birthday cake at this particular Kroger. Loss Prevention, Asset Control (or whatever they want to call their shoplifting prevention staff) followed us through the store. I know this because of the announcement they blasted over the store intercom. about them needing help in the produce section. We had just spent a lot of time deciding on what overpriced cake we wanted and I attempted to hide the decor in the basket after I picked it. I didnt want to ruin my surprise for my partner. Then we made our way to the produce section. No one else was there. I didnt want to jump to any conclusions about why they would follow me however it became obvious to ALL of us. That they probably thought I was attempting to steal $5 worth of cake decorations. Im familiar with retail. Having worked retail sales and management my entire working career... I know theyre trained to spot a potential shoplifter. Myself, my partner and my 17 year old son spent a lot of time while browsing the store. Everything is so expensive that Im always looking for the best price. I was teaching my son how to read labels and compare prices. It may appear as suspicious behavior to an ignorant person. However, if I were truly going steal I wouldnt have been there when it was so quiet and I probably would have tried to bring more people with me in order to confuse and distract the clerks. But, it was 10 oclock in the evening and DEAD! Once at the self checkout. The person monitoring the check out lanes made it blatantly obvious she was telling to make sure everything was scanned. If I scanned my items too fast, the register would ask to have her verify my scans were correct prior to allowing me to continue on to the next item. She was only watching me. After I finished scanning my purchase of over $200, the register made me wait for the clerk again to verify I had 41 items in the basket. Then and only then was my card released from the terminal. I have never been so upset before. They profiled me as a thief. Probably because I can run their registers better than they can. Anyway, shame on you Kroger.

I was told the customer service desk closed at 10pm so I finished running the errands I needed to do while I was in town, I live in madisonville. I got to the store and they said the desk closed at 8pm so I asked for the manager. They said he was on his way and 10 minutes later, he hadn t made it to the front to talk to me. I don t appreciate driving all the way over here from College Station to not get done what I needed to do. Then to have the manager not even come up to see what the matter was - very disappointing. His name is Zack. Also, while I was standing there looking at the two lines backed up @ the SELF CHECK OUT (no regular lines were open at all & it was 9:45pm!) the poor kid working the self checkout was also responsible for answering the phone (what was everyone else doing??) so a customer wanted to know if they had a particular item and the kid answering the phone didn t know so he asked another checker (her name was Madison) about it and she immediately said Im clocked out ! Unbelievable - it s sad to see that no one seemed to care about anything, including their customers at this location. Glad I don t live here and have to shop at this location.

Kroger is my go-to place for Kroger soda and their wonderful selection of pet foods and treats. I go for a stock-up run to Bryan/College Station every month. My first stop is always Kroger to get the dog treats (before they sell out). I went to the Kroger in College Station when they were out of what I needed. They didnt even sell most of the items on display in Bryan. The new additional space is great. Update (6/17/24): I used four coupons from Kroger. Two did not ring up, and the clerk kept them. She did not mention that they didnt ring up, and she didnt give them back. They were good until 7/7/24. One of the coupons was for 50 cents off one kind of tomato. I had two Roma tomatoes and did not understand why this wasnt accepted. It did not name the type they would accept, leading me to believe any were acceptable.

Blown away with the cake! I asked if they could make a taco cake for my taco loving sons and was told absolutely. It turned out fantastic and was better than I imagined. And it was delicious too. Its an ok Kroger. Smaller scale than many stores, but that is what makes it convenient. Some of the shelves are mislabeled, prices will differ at checkout. This store stocks a small selection of yogurt, and 99.9% of those are low- or no-fat varieties. If you dont want the chemical storm associated with low / no fat, go to HEB. Generally clean, there are times when a quick once-over would be nice. Edit: Kroger has stepped up its game. Still light in some areas, but not much. Edit 2: without the app, this has to be The Worst website to navigate. O.M.G.

Of the two local Krogers, the one in College Station and the one in Bryan, the Bryan store is better. A much larger store, It was given a facelift and made bigger the last few years. Bigger means a greater selection of brands when it comes to foods, and both Kroger locations outshine HEB when it comes to fresher produce and floral selection. A good example is if you compare refrigerated/canned biscuits. The CS location has a very small selection vs the Bryan store. Both Kroger locations cater to a different demographic, youll find less college kids running around and more families and older shoppers. Its nice to sometimes get away from that kind of crowd. What really separates the 2 Krogers is management. At the College Station store, you have a curmudgeon named Kenny, who is a horrible manager to staff and customers. The state of the store shows how a poor manager can affect a business, and its honestly worth the extra 5 minutes to go to the better store in Bryan.

The employees who pack your pick up orders are careless. They give you moldy fruit, expired meats. I got private select brand potatoes opened, who knows how many hands were all over it or how many fell out of the packaging. If you want to shop here youre better off going inside and getting your groceries yourself. This isnt the first time my orders have been trash. They will smash your bread, pop open your chip bags. Give you bruised apples etc.

Kroger is our go-to store for groceries, pharmacy needs, and gasoline, due to the loyalty discounts and selection. The Booneville store is going through an expansion, so things can be hard to find, and the store is a bit hard to navigate, but the improvements made so far look amazing! There is a greatly expanded ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook variety of foods that look great, too! UPDATE: The expansion is complete and the store is back to normal business. In my previous entry I didnt mention it, but the employees are so helpful and nice! The deli and bakery always have some tempting items and there is a closeout section at the north end of the store that has some great bargains.

I like this Kroger. Frankly, I like a lot of Krogers. But this one has Mason, the Kroger Angel. Several times when I have issues (usually minor) all I have to do is close my eyes and wish, and an employee named Mason appears who has insider knowledge of how to address my every issue. I dont know where he comes from, or how he is so competent. My only explanation is that he is an agent of the divine sent to aid us poor souls in need (in Kroger, at least.)

This Kroger got a huge renovation in 2021 which makes everything fresh and new feeling. However the parking really suffered from the new layout and entrances. Also the grackles are in packs at night every day because of the trees in the parking lot they added, so it can be loud and lots of bird poop. Good selection of products, great service with pick up. Pharmacy has a parking lot chute but the line if often very long.

Their grocery pickup does not measure up to other local groceries like H E B or even Walmart! The last 2 times I ve had items left off my list with them claiming it wasn t in stock. The last time, they replaced my Gluten free waffles for regular then omitted cream and carrots. I went in the store to see if I could find another brand of GF waffles. A cashier named Ryan closed the doors in front of my daughter at 11:55pm when they dont even close till 12am. And when questioned acted like he didnt care. And saidwe close at 11:55. now Kroger has more varieties than heb. They have renewed and great varieties of food i can find. Organic food selection is slightly better than heb. My first complain is the store has tighter aisle widths compared to heb and I feel little confused in the beginning because I didnt know the things I want where, after you get use to it, it is ok and new expended parts are more roomy and relieving related to the tight aisles,. Also I recommend you to have a free kroger store card on your phone number otherwise it might be costly, the price change a little, and no discounts. My second complain is their customer service, i have needed 2 times in three years and dindt work and was not able to help or adress the issue and waited long. HEB customer service is splendid.However, kroger online customer service is great too only this stores customer service is a waste of time.

New Kroger is looking really nice! Had exactly what I needed as I couldn t get disinfectant wipes anywhere else. Self checkout was easy!

I could write a 20 page essay on why to shop at HEB over this Kroger, but I was turned away at 8:40 on a Saturday. I understand the the shortened hours from the pandemic and even differentiating from the updated online hours, but dont turn away people 20 minutes from closing an already shortened hours of operation.

Nice Krogers. Doing some remodeling it will be much better upon the completion. However, the prices on certain items are a bit higher than our regular location in Summerwood.
