This place will not disappoint! The food is delicious and the service is even better! The owner is so nice and helpful he will go above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied. We wanted to take home some fresh fish after eating our lunch and we werent sure if we would like the black drum fish so he fixed us a small serving to taste. We left this place feeling like family!

Small restaurant with a fish market inside, you can pick out your fish or take whats on the menu. Service is quick and the selections are plentiful, love there sopa de mariscos. Plates are more than enough to leave you satisfied. Prices are very affordable, great place to get a quick bite.

You have to be aware it s located at the light. We turned into Jack in the Box by mistake, but my husband drove on the shoulder of the street to get in their parking lot since it s right next door. It s small & cozy. Very friendly server, FRESH HOMEMADE seafood & aguas frescas. We choose our fish from the fish market & got it cooked the way we wanted it. They serve while you wait for your order a delicious fish broth. I can t get over how fresh the seafood was. My husband also got excellent ceviche tostadas too. Loved it. We will definitely be back when we are in Brownsville.

Went looking for a fish market with fresh seafood. We hit the jackpot when we found this place! They had several kinds of fish, including Gar! I love Gar! Can never find it fresh. At $7.99 lb, I bought 3 lbs. Then, I saw the beautiful red color of the Red Snapper. Bought 1 whole fish @ $15.99 lb. They also had fresh scallops, octopus, clams and shrimp. People were really nice. Placed everything in bags with ice. We went home with our loot and had a fish fry. Yall gotta visit this place!

We google searched for seafood and Fish King showed up so we tried it. We were greeted by the warmest man who made us feel very welcome. Im sorry I didnt get his name. We had fried and blackened fish and it was delicious. They make their own fish broth/soup as appetizer. It too was delicious. Homemade chips were excellent. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere is authentic. Great place for lunch or dinner or you can bring your catch. They will prepare it. They also have a seafood bar/fish market where you can buy fresh catch.

If it wasnt for the food it wouldnt even have a single star. Management needs to find better employees. Very rude and patronizing. Was sold tilapia instead of the Basse I paid for. They ran out of rice so they just didnt give me anything to substitute it. They used to be a good establishment. Not so much anymore. I can say it will be the last time I come here and I will not be referring anyone to this place.

Seafood soup consists only of fish and shrimp (Where was the oyster, squid, octopus, etc.? ). Extremely salty soup including the broth that is very salty at the beginning and tastes like Swiss knorr. Sad to give this place a bad review as the food is quite tasty, but the sanitation is absolutely terrible. On my first visit aggressive cockroaches were literally crawling onto my plate and Ive got bad stomach issues both times I went here. Sticking to the fried dishes made no difference. Sorry guys, you gotta do better. Let me know if you try to improve.

Tonight 4-20-21 we ate at Fish King restaurant in Brownsville. We found it to be fantastic again. We had Sea Bass Florentine preceded by a shrimp cocktail. It was all we could do to finish that for 2 of us and it was the medium. The Florentine was superb-well done with lots of sauce and numerous kinds of vegetables in it. The service was great-very efficient. Cost was only 12.00. The restaurant only seats 29 including the upstairs. It is clean and well cared for. The left side of the building is a fresh fish market if you want to buy some to take home and cook. Highly recommend this fine small restaurant for authentic Mexican seafood.
