Beautiful center. I had a wonderful time at the Brownsville State of the City. Mayor John Cowen held a very informative update on the many improvements happening in Brownsville and the projects coming as well.

Very nice experience for our first time there. Enjoyed the music very entertaining some songs are very long but its ok. I literally thought they were gonna do the whole soundtrack to Starwars, but only one song and another orchestra b4 the main one did Star Trek, still very nicely played. Downfall I wish I was allowed to record me some of the songs but your not allowed but I did take these pics not my best so its kinda hard to see faces, but I appreciated the sound. Thank you. Im looking forward to seeing the horror songs, but I will see. For the price, it is good. Thats what encouraged me more to go. Very beautiful stadium. Seats are a bit uncomfortable if you have back issues, so thats my only complaint.

Good place for entertainment. They should bring more acts to this place. It is very cold inside. I went to see a dance recital. Dont forget your light jacket as it is really cold in there.

The UTRGV music department sponsored a a heart-warming free concert last weekend at the spacious and attractive TSC art center. Presented free for the community, the Home for the Holidaysconcert, featuring music presented by students from the music department, was very well attended last Saturday night. The music included Silent Night as well as many other Christmas songs and the evening ended with a rousing sing-along. The concert will be repeated this Saturday, December 4. It is a wonderful way to kickoff the Christmas season with family and friends!

Wonderful acoustics and a beautiful location. Thank you Brownsville Society for the Performing Arts-An unforgettable Concert last night to kick-the Jazz festival (Emilio Solla composer and Grammy winner)- high class musicians from NY with many solos. Saturday night (10/16) crowds were awed by Austin sSupersónicos Band who played lively music from South America and Africa. Another unforgettable evening of dance and song as the Jazz Festival drew to a close. Note: normally the festival is held downtown near the Historic Capital theater. This year it was held at Linear part because of COVID precautions. It was very well organized and everyone enjoyed the music and food venues.

The performing arts Center at Texas southmost College is one of Brownsville hidden gems. It is a state of the art center, beautiful in its design I call it Brownsville s Met and vastly under used by the community, despite the plethora of free concerts and events that the university and community offers. I encourage anyone reading this who has not attended an event at the Performing Arts Center to follow the calendar on UTRGV Patron of the Arts via the Internet. You will not be disappointed. My only criticism is that more handicap accessible seating needs to be made available and handrails leading down the auditorium steps would be helpful. I m sure they were left out for aesthetics, but safety comes first.
