I give it 4 stars if not really developed but the spaces are open and theres places to walk your dog play Frisbee golf and there is a running trail. I really wish they would maintain the Frisbee golf, it is in a horrible state of repair and is very difficult to navigate if you dont know where the course is They have added an exercise area, all of the equipment is static but it wont break. Im going to try it a couple more times and give it a chance Im not sure I like it but I dont hate it

The pictures don t really do it justice the hiking trails are very pretty. The trail with all the foliage isn t very long but it s fun to walk (about 30 minutes) and it s probably even better on a bike. There s lots to do, a playground, golf coarse, and frisbee gold set up. It s close to the highway so a little bit of noise pollution comes in from the road but as you get further out it fades off. My only advice is the BRING BUD SPRAY because good lord there are so many bugs here.

Great place to do a trail walk or run. Has bathrooms. A large grass wooded area for a dog walk. Great for a nature walk. Just had my first trail run, PMP! Awesome event, lots of runners! Playground: Great clean dirt trail! Good for walking. Jogging and running.... Ran 2 miles on this trail, amazing wildness and fresh air! Kiddie park on the side! Toilets: Clean!

Simple, but nice trail system that goes around the edge of the disc golf course. Covered by trees. Great for hiking, jogging, or birdwatching, which is why I paid a visit. There are bathrooms near the playground on the northeast corner, but nowhere else. There is parking on both the north and south entrances.

Nearly clean trails, some brush and roots on the walking path, but over all good and popular with many groups. Wildlife warming signs are up, and depending on time of day some critters are out. Childrens playground area newly up, very nice. Picnic area: Tables out for the public, wooden and with cover.

Amazing place when you give it a chance. There is actually so much to explore here. Theres a bike trail and so many other man made walking trails through trees. We loved it. Definitely have a picnic or a date or bring your pet. Park closes at sundown so come before then but after high noon lol. Bring a football or soccer ball or Frisbee! Lots of disc golf available. Toilets: Male and female Dog-friendliness: Bring your dog! Keep on leash. Clean up after them

It is urgent that they cut the grass, it is very high on the sides, you have to make a path, it is closing, there are too many mosquitoes, they are swarms, I had to run, I hardly see people walking anymore, it is a shame because it is a beautiful place

Played disc golf course. Some elevation and obstacles with trees and other vegetation. Nice restrooms with drinking fountain and bottle refill station. Exercise center. Great trails for walking and biking. Plus the mountain biking course. Toilets: At the entrance. Has water and closes during off hours.

Natural and preserved are strange words to describe this place. It is a large bulldozed area with a trail surrounding it. The invasive grasses have replaced a lot of the native plants. There is a twisty wooded section that is a bit more natural than the rest but suffers from the same invasives taking over. Seems like a great place if you just want to blow past the nature on a bike or go for a run.

The only place in the lower Rio Grande Valley that has an exciting trail with many twists and turns to keep you engaged. Wish more communities had these kind of trails to help motivate a healthy life style. I really loved it and hope it keeps its charm.

Pretty good place to get a trail run in. Lots of winding mostly flat trails but running both sides of the canal you can get about 6 miles in. Another plus is lots of trees so it shady during the day.

We enjoy this trail walk on the left side of the golf disk section. BUT its what nature can provide for us as a survival idea. Whats out there are many things we find and get better at it. From tracking animals to plants purpose usages and the migrating birds and water source. Theres a lot to learn and gets better all the time. You got summer hot days easy but to much flying insects or cold rainy days is hard muddy and cold but challenge your self to a complete new level. Its up to you come, go at your own risk!

To ride a bicycle it is a beautiful but demanding walk, we were attacked by a swarm of bees but we were able to free it, once you are deep in the walk there is no support and you must continue until you reach the exit, it is very beautiful but you must carry what you need for a repair or injury

What a cool trail! Its so windy and fun! The vast majority of the trail is shaded and its just gorgeous. I saw a ton of wildlife including snakes (one HUGE one!), an armadillo, a couple different types of woodpeckers, an owl, and some sort of yellow and green bird that Ive never seen before. All of this and I did this hike in the middle of the afternoon (around 2:00)! I only saw 2 other people in the parking lot and no one else on the trail. Such a cool surprise!

Its always pretty clean with clear trails that vary in length and flatness. This is a good park to go on walks, ride bikes on the more hill-y trails, or walk dogs in the straighter perimeter trail (entrance on the right side.) Theres also a bit of lighting at night near the parking lot, but we dont go at night as there no lighting in the trail and they do go rather far in. The frisbee golf is a good addition, theres more people there and it makes the park feel safer and more legimate. Overall a great park. We go here often.

It is an excellent park to go on a bicycle. You can get lost among the trees and plants that in certain parts cover the sky. I have also gone at night with lamps on the bicycle and I have never seen anything strange or dangerous in the park, although I recommend going with more people. There are also groups on Facebook that go day and night. I love wearing headphones and getting lost in the forest.
