Excellent place, with a great variety of Cakes in a very clean and friendly place, and the best thing is the freshly made bread ! and today we had to TRY THE NEW TaKis Cake EXCELLENT! It doesnt sting that much but it tastes very delicious!!! Kid-friendliness: Excellent to come with family!

Lady that took order was courteous nice, inviting me to try all menu. It was first time there never again. I ordered milanesa combo, Cubana combo. The servings were poor two Avocado pieces in all, two little pieces of tomato, lots of cheese to realize the meat did not even cover bread its was 3 little pieces of meat hiding in bean serving. Meat was so hard we could never chew. All $28 to the trash. Not worth it no wonder its always empty. This location was Alton Gloor.

The best Tortas Ive ever had in town! The service was great and the place was Super clean, even the bathroom! My friend from Mexico said they tasted like the ones from there. The size for the price of the combo was Amazing they are super stuffed! We had the Poblana and the Matamoros, they are paired with an awesome salsa to compliment the flavors. Friendly staff, cool interior...Highly recommend

We waited for over an hour to get our food. They never told us they had a big order they just proceeded to take our order and make us wait. My dad tried talking to them and they didnt solve anything only proceeded to argue. When we finally got the food there was a Little Rock in his food apparently its a piece of something in the bread they used to cook. When we went to pay and complain the lady just argued and argued no respect whatsoever. We waited over an hour to get our food. They never told us they had a large order, they just proceeded to take our order and made us wait. My father tried to talk to them and they didnt resolve anything, they just proceeded to argue. When we finally got the food, there was a rock in their food, apparently its a piece of something in the pan they used to cook. When we went to pay my dad complained and the lady was just fighting and fighting, she had no respect or customer service.

First of all they took a whole hour to bring us the food and they brought it incomplete, and they still didn t bring the rest of the order. They didn t even apologize for taking long and just told us they had a big order. In my moms food we found a rock and when we told the cashier he just argued with my dad and said it was part of the plancha. Honestly we couldn t even enjoy the food because the service was so bad.

I would have given this new find a 5 star because the food was so good and flavorful but they didnt have 2 items available due to not having one simple ingredient which I thought was silly especially since that ingredient is sold everywhere. Ordered to-go for the Toluca and Del Valle torta. Flavor was OK could be more flavorful. Biggest issue was that everything was soggy. Would I come here again? Probably not I can make better torta at home. On the other hand, it is a cute restaurant inside and customer service was good.

Nice little place. The tortas were very good, Mexican style, soft bread, good options on fillings. Its not a very visible place, we got there by accident, but Im so glad we gave it a try. My order was taken quick, and so were everyone elses orders. I especially loved their Torta Cubana Special. The owner is very kind and attentive.

I like the concept but I ordered a cake and they forgot the tomato, but I would like them to put more avocado and meat, its like it didnt have anything and it seemed to me that it was more bread than ingredients. It doesnt cost them, we are already paying, it is not a gift. To take away they also only give you a small sauce, we are really lost Mexicans, give it 3 no maaa

The tortas are pretty darn good. My sandwich comes with avacado but didn t. The cashier/order taker (young girl)has an attitude. She was in a bad mood having to clean tables and picking up plates .I stood there for quite awhile waiting to order and she finally took my order. I ll try them again and see how it goes.

We stop here by accident, looking for a place to eat. They have a variety of tortas my husband loves cubana y like milanesa, they have del Valle, Huston,Matamoros, etc they all look delicious. Mine was excellent with aguacate, jitomate y lechuga, we order a combo because has a drink and fries. Come see and try! No regrets! Excelente customer service.

First time visiting and I loved it! The location is super clean and the staff is very polite/friendly. I ordered to go and only waited 15 mins for my order to be ready. The food was really flavorful I got the Perro Special, the Torta Matamoros and the Dallas torta. The Perro special was delicious, a 10/10. The torta Matamoros was my second favorite. I feel like the Dallas torta was also good, but seems to be missing something. Would love to see other type of salsas though maybe a green salsa. Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely recommend!

My mom was just looking for a nice place to eat around the area, found this place and let me tell you: It was sooo worth it. Everything they serve seems to taste good and the service is very polite and nice overall. Also, this its a very clean place, which is (of course) important these days. I havent tried a quarter of the menu but I will not rest until IVE TRIED IT ALL.

City Tortas has a simple but very sufficient menu for anybody s taste buds that are looking for slightly traditional with a mix of fusion style. My personal favorite is the Pachuca torta! The pork is very tender and flavorful.French fries and chipotle dipping sauce are perfect match. The only downside is that I wish they would sell some type of signature drink or lemonade. Highly recommend.

You want tortas? Come to eat at city tortas. My wife and I had been looking for a good tortas place in brownsville after Jimmys tortas closed. This restaurant is really good, I got the Dallas torta and it was incredible. The restaurant is a bit hidden but it is worth the find.

Asking for extra avocado is like asking for nothing at all,but you get charged for it anyway. They messed up the order and the young lady up front said that she couldnt take the torta to the back anymore cause of Covid. Didnt even offer another torta to replace the messed up order. Hawaiian torta has more mayo than anything else. The place seems nice for a cafe though.
