I ordered about 7 family meals that feeds about 8-9 people for my employees. We get to the location where we re about to serve the plates and notice that they did not put any serving utensils. We were not at a location where we had a kitchen. I decide to call Rudy s to let them know . I ask for the manager and she informs me that they don t provide serving utensils for family meals that I should ve requested them. When I got to Rudy s we notice one of the ladies wasn t helping put the order in. I inform the manager about that and she tells me that was me and goes on to tell me that she didn t know where I wanted it. I inform her that she could ve asked. The reason for my review is not the food but the customer service that we received. Companies need to understand that we will spend our hard earned money where they will provide great customer service. Someone needs to give feedback to the manager about customer service. I sure ain t going back to Rudy s. Disappointed customer! She also wasn t empathetic about my situation. It was more like too bad and I did tell her you re selling a family meal don t you think it would be a good idea to provide that? She still didn t care!

Im not sure why tee cashiers are asking for tips now?? Inflation is up the roof and prices have gone up on everything.right now is not the time to asking for more money.. are we going to start having to tip the cooks and shift leaders as well?? I have ordered tacos in different occasions and by far they keep getting worse an worse whats up with the cooks the tortillas are horrible sometimes the tacos are a fair size but today really pissed me off a minni taco of chorizo and beans you all need to do better at making breakfast tacos or stick to what you know best .or change the cook

Thinking of working at Rudys Country Store and Bar-B-Q in Brownsville, Texas? Think again. Management and senior workers are very tied together. They tell each other EVERYTHING. Even though some things told to managers should stay CONFIDENTIAL. I confessed to one of the managers that I suffer from depression. Coincidentally, a coworker named Corazon Urbina, depicted herself getting shot in the head in front of me as some type of joke - in the Country Store where customers could see! This happened RIGHT AFTER I told management about my depression. Keep in mind, no one at Rudys EVER made a joke like that before I confessed about suffering from depression. SICK MINDS these people have! Like, were at a country store, not a comedy club. And at the end of it all, the joke fell flat. Theres a reason you guys are NOT professional comedians! Oh, and one of the managers, Sandy Morales, on my second week of working, SHOVED me because I was tucking in my shirt in front of a register. She told me to tuck my shirt somewhere else and SHOVED me. NEVER did I EVER put my hands on anyone at Rudys. Dont believe me? Ask Alfredo about it, if he still works there. Just absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL. They fired me over miscommunication because they thought I stole $6. I wasnt going to steal it. I wanted a memento because I completed a big order for a Firefighter and his crew. He tipped with $2 bills and I wanted to switch it out for ones. They allowed another coworker, Michelle Davila, to do exactly that. Not for me, though. The rest of the day, after I pocketed the tip for the exchange once I closed my shift, management played mind games with me that whole day. Instead of ASKING me QUESTIONS, they hinted at tips all day, in any way, which I thought was weird but not too unusual. They made me and EVERYONE ELSE sign a contract or paper about tips and how they are shared. I thought this was unusual because most people worked there for at least a year, and me being there 6 months, I figured I would have signed that paper when I got hired. Never, ever, ever did they ask me about the situation until we got to the office. The signed paper is what they used as leverage to fire me. They also used the video tape to prove I was stealing. Joey Medina and Severiano Cadena were the ones who ultimately terminated me. They assumed I was a stealer, showed me the security cam video of me pocketing the tip, and didnt care about my explanation. They wanted me gone and they found a way to do it. I also talked to Joeys boss, the area director, Carlos. I forgot his last name. I called him about 30 minutes after getting terminated. He basically told me what Joey and Severiano told me. Joey said he needed to talk to his wife during my termination, but I have suspicion he talked to Carlos about the situation in the office because Carlos knew exactly what happened in that office when I called him after I left Rudys. They did not train me right and kept telling me new things I hadnt known before. I was wearing black pants for at least a month before I was told it was against the rules to wear colored jeans. I was there 6 months before I read the rule sheet. I was hired on the spot and thought they would have the courtesy to tell me everything I needed to know. They did not. And not only do I suffer from depression, I got diagnosed in late May of this year with Bipolar disorder and Im partly schizophrenic. You never know what someone is struggling with. But these people dont care. They just want you on time and to be ready to be a slave, ONLY if they DONT like you. Trust me, if they dont like you, and you feel it, just RUN. LOOKING for FOOD, though? Youre at the right place! The food is pretty good. Just find your REAL business somewhere else.

Dont eat here. We were extremely disappointed on our overpriced and flavorless food. Everything was extremely dry and with a starter and charcoal taste, I had asked for baby back ribs and got pork ribs. The meat itself has no special or distinct taste, everything tasted the same, ribs, brisket and sausage tasted the same like charcoal and starter. On top of that, the food was pretty cold, I was there right on time to pick it up and no wonder its cold if they hand it out covered in paper. I guess its a good way to save costs at the expense of giving customers cold food, you should really get takeout containers. I think its pretty telling how you get sauces on cups instead of the food being covered in the sauce. Overall, first and last time getting food here, I went based on the reviews but I dont understand how people can enjoy this food. Maybe some of the other items are decent but at 35 bucks for 3 dry, sauce less ribs, 4 slices of dry, tasteless brisket and half a sausage cut in half, wont take a chance on this place.

Went to drive thru got my food pretty decent. Ive never had the turkey sammich it was quite tasty and moist, not dried. Had Cole slaw was nice, fresh, and crisp. Went through drive today 3-13-24, young lady was probably having a bad day. Tried saying hello to her twice, with a response what do you want? . She made it hard to place order, I ordered but decided to leave. I usually go for breakfast tacos and have no issues. People are friendly and courteous, but this girl was definitely neither. It was very disappointing to have this interaction which led me to depart your restaurant.

Brisket was moist but charcoal starter tastes. Never again the ribs smelled like cold charcoal and starter. For half pound of brisket and half pound of baby back ribs its way to expensive 36 dollars. Ribs were dry and over cooked. Would not recommend this place at all

Visited this place today. Never disappoints!! Food was delicious!! We arrived during lunch and even though it was full there was still plenty of parking and there was plenty of space to sit. I was most impressed by one of the employees in charge of the dining area. This young lady Mrs. Anahi was on top of everything. She was restocking, cleaning and making sure the dining area was in tip top shape. From the time we arrived to the time we left she did not stop. Truly seemed like she enjoyed her work. Really impressive. Definitely recommend this place. Kid-friendliness: Wide variety of food for all types of kid tastes.

Asked the staff person to toast the bun really well, first time it was still cold, asked again. She took the bun and I thought it was toasted bun NO. The brisket is just bland, blah. Some great bbq at this location. Its all good. Take your large cup back for a $0.75 refill! The brisket hits the spot almost every time (no one is perfect), the chicken is also mighty fine and dont forget that sausage. For the sides, well, if you ask me, you cant beat the beans!

Their service is outstanding. The food is vey good. I recently had moist brisket. It was incredibly tender and delicious. Their chicken and chopped barbecue sandwiches are marvelous too.

Slow, had the slice beef and sausage. Both were dry, as if they have been laying under a heat lamp for hours.. witch they were not. The sauce bottle on table had dried out and stopped up pouring tip.
