She was an amazing lawyer throughout the course of my boyfriends case through the end of his probation. She was able to get his case charges reduced to a misdemeanor and even helped him out after his probation got revoked, she was able to manipulate and have his case NOT reinstated but DROPPED ENTIRELY. She is very attentive listening to your concerns and leaving no questions unanswered. MOST definitely would recommend if I or anyone else needs a fighter like her.

Lisa is awesome!!! I dont even live in Houston, I live in Dallas, and I somehow was charged for harassment in a town thats 5 hours away??? Lisa understood how ridiculous that was and asked the DA for the evidence against me so she cud advise me, of course the evidence didnt exist. So the judge dismissed my case. Thats the difference between a really good attorney like Lisa Shapiro Strauss and a public defender who just wants to get everyone to take a plea. Lisa fought for me and made the DA prove their case against me which they cudnt do....if you want a great attorney that is willing to stand up to the court and prosecutors than you want Lisa!! She was on the ball from the start and pretty much schooled the DA....

I had to write another review. I recently needed her services again. I wasnt happy about it but she was willing to assist. In addition to the case, my apartments burned down in July and she immediately reached out to me after seeing me on the news. She made sure I got personal items and mailed it straight to me. I am so appreciative because the level of care beyond a client touched my heart. Once again case dismissed. She has been understanding to my situation. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way Lisa handled my fiancé case. He hired Lisa a couple of months ago to request an early termination of probation. She told him it would take 2 weeks for the judge to make a decision, in actuality it took longer than 2 months. He never got to have a phone conversation after the payment was made. She always had an excuse of why she could not accommodate his needs. Also, Lisa never reached out to his probation officer (PO), he had to notify his PO himself so that she could send over the necessary information to the judge. He texted Lisa asking her if a decision was made on the motion she filed, she replied no. Several weeks later when my fiancé met with his PO, she told him the judge denied his early termination for probation. We understand that the final decision isn t up to Lisa, but she never communicated the judge final decision to my fiancé. This lawyer will act like she cares about your case only because she wants your money and after she receives payment nothing will be done. You will have to continuously contact her and take initiative yourself. Lisa attempted to belittle my fiancé s intelligence whenever questions were asked and suggestions were made regarding his case. I do not recommend her services to anyone. A waste of time and money!!!!

I found myself in a really bad position with the legal system in Harris county. Felony charges. Serious penalties if found guilty. Upon retaining ms Shapiro the entire situation was downhill. Trying to find a good criminal defense lawyer is hard, and that s why I m glad I went with Lisa Strauss. I spoke to many different lawyers and read lots of reviews but felt confident with my first choice Ms. Lisa Strauss. I had received the agreement and after a few days I finally sighed it and as soon as I signed it I had another lawyer call me. I thanked the lawyer for calling me back but explained to him I literally just signed a contract already. He continued to ask me questions regarding my situation and then proceeded to ask who I signed with and I told him Ms. Strauss. His words to me meant the world! He said I doubt you ll need me but if you do give me a call, but you re in good hands and he was right! I was looking at a felony assault charge which was dismissed!
