I hired this firm to help with an elderly aunt and her Medicaid. We had property and an annuity to deal with. I come from 38 years of legal work experience. Ive worked with hundreds of lawyers and paralegals. This firm is among the very best. Im usually not a fan of attorneys. Ive always felt that they have you pay thousands of dollars and then you do all the leg work. NOT THE CASE WITH THIS FIRM. Nicole was so helpful. So very organized and knew exactly what we needed to make happen and when. I was expecting to have to do so much more leg work. But Nicole made it so easy for us. Dont get me wrong, it wasnt easy, but Nicole would send emails that were so easy to follow. She also helped with information that was over my head. I would definitely hire them again if needed.

My husband and I meet with Attorney Shawn Crawford today at the Bedford office to discuss a complicated probation of an estate. Attorney Crawford was a complete professional in listening to my husbands concerns and providing feedback for possible next steps in settling the estate. Worst experience and very unprofessional. Shawn Crawford lacked compassion and communication with the family. They did not verify my identity when I signed documents on behalf of my deceased neighbors and this is a notarized document. I have never witnessed such lack of empathy for a family that was dealing with the passing of family members. He ridiculed them and complained about not getting paid enough for his work. Unethical on so many levels.

I was referred to Livens & Reed by a staff at Meadow Brook, Van Alstyne. I had to move my mother from a facility in Sherman because they did not take Medicaid. If you have to turn to Medicaid for your loved ones financial support get in contact with Livens & Reed. Nickie Rainwater, team leader, got the ball rolling and Shauna Reiley guided me through all the paperwork. Thank You!! I couldnt have done this on my own. Shauna really took the time to help me through the process which is much more involved than you might realize. I would highly recommend them to assist you through the Medicaid application.
