I loved this place. I ordered the combination which comes with an entree, egg roll, steamed rice, fried rice, or noodles, and choice of beef, chicken, or pork extra side dish. I had the Pepper Steak with fried rice, vegetable egg roll, and sweet and sour chicken side. This combination plate out me $12.95. I thought this was a very fair price for dinner time with so much to offer. The pepper steak was hot and fresh, the rise was fully cooked, but not clumpy. The rice still was fluffy. The portion sizes were more than adequate. The egg roll was also hot and fresh, light and crispy on the outside, and soft and steamy on the I side. It had a well cooked blend of veggies, and the crust was flaky. I thought the egg roll was perfect. They also knocked it out of the park with the small side of sweet and sour chicken. It was fried perfectly and it was fresh unlike some Chinese restaraunts that leave it under a heat lamp this chicken was made to order. The chicken was tender and the breading was crispy, and this was hot and fresh as well. The sweet and sour sauce was good. The service and cleaninliness of the establishment dining area was also great. I took the food to go, but went in and pucked it up and it was still hot by the time I got back to my hotel. I spoke to the owner while I waited for my food and he is focused on customer service. All the way around I would give this five stars. Support a local place that cares about product quality, product presentation, and good service. I am from out of town and I want to go back here when I visit again. I didnt snap a Pic of this meal because I was starving and didnt hesitate to take a picture before eating. Perhaps I will capture a puc on the next visit.

combination rice the best in Beaumont so far 2021 [Edit: place whent up 3$ on everything.] [update 7/30/2024, they rebuilt the place and its nicer and some prices are lower now, rice with veggies tasted horrible, but the fried rice by its self is very good $8.95 and crowned over, i eat allot and i couldnt eat half.] hopefully they stay this way with portion and price.

The food here is completely worth it. We tried the steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, hot n sour soup, Mongolian beef, and broccoli chicken. Everything had great flavor. Service was perfect. I think we could have added a little more chili sauce for out taste because it wasnt very spicy but otherwise perfect.

We had lunch in here a couple of weeks back and I just remembered to leave a review. Cookie was amazing! The interior and seating were great: surprisingly comfortable and clean considering this is primarily a takeaway restaurant. If you have the time- definitely dine in and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The lunch portions were very generous and Cookie was so helpful and attentive . 10/10 would recommend and we hope to come back soon! Great place a new favorite spot for good eats!

So THIS is where everybody went! Just found out last week! But the name is: TASTE OF CHINA EXPRESS . The address shows Calder, but that s not where we are. College Street is their location. While here, several customers came in all so happy to see the familiar faces and same delicious food. The usual server still took the same order we used to have at the previous restaurant. He s also very proud and happy to be 1/2 owner, with the original chef. Only downside is much further away, smaller, limited parking, and sparse decorations. They ve been here a year, and as long as the food stays as tasty as it is, hopefully they ll be in business for a long time. Parking: Very tight parking, only 2 handicap spots.

I ve been eating at Taste of China since it was at the corner of college and the freeway. Sad to say our journey has come to an end. I m so disappointed in the quality of the food I received today. The eggs in the rice didn t look like fresh eggs and the shrimp seemed undercooked. Also, ordered BBQ ribs and the were tougher than beef jerky with a layer of fat. They should definitely change the name and disassociate from the quality that the original used to put out.

The food of this restaurant is delicious! The owner and Chef came from The Taste of China which is located on Calder in Beaumont. The delicious food that we came to know at that establishment can now be found at Taste of China Express on College Street. As of this review, their dining room is not yet open and they are only available for pickup orders but I cannot wait until I can dine in and enjoy my food on location. If you havent been, I highly recommend giving this place a try! You definitely will not be disappointed!

When you first walk in, it looks like it has been freshly remodeled. No pictures or nothing in walls so you kinda feel like its not a restaurant. However dont let that fool you. Food is really good and they do cover the full plate (to-go plate) and it spills. Thats how you know you really get what you paid for. Im a fan of the House special fried rice, which I enjoy. I guess the only concern I personally have is that the chilly sauce is not spicy, well for me any ways. During my stay I did come here often. If Im in town again I will definitely visit again for sure.

Food was fresh and perfectly seasoned, not too salty. The House Special Won Ton soup was wonderful, full of stuffed won tons, bok Choy, pork and shrimp. Beef Lo Mei was delicious and so was the Moo Goo Gai Pan. Portions are large, will be back as soon as we finish the leftovers!

I ve eaten from taste of China on many occasions. Started when he was on the corner of interstate 10 and College. They ve scaled back, but quality still the same. What I like most is they will fix your order anyway you d like it. My husband don t like brown sauce. So they prepare te white sauce for him. At least they have before. I live farther away, but venture there every now and then. I ve always enjoyed the food. Vegetarian options: They can do veggies without meat or with noodles. I ve had both. Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating. Tell them what you need or like. Parking: Parking is suitable, but not for Rv s and such. For cars only. Kid-friendliness: Good food for a kid if they like Chinese. Not sure if they have a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessed by wheelchair.

Ever since they swapped owners, nothing tastes authentic anymore. Terrible experience with the food I got. I got Mongolian beef I swear I got 3 mouthfuls of onions and barely got any beef. They don t even serve lo mein anymore and their reasoning was because it s not authentic and fattening. Yea, I heard that from what it looked like the owners and they weren t even Asian Ain t never coming back unless they change it up, bring back the old chefs and owners At least they care about the food they put out

Big downgrade from old management food wise. Lo mein totally different. Noodles really thin, meat portions smaller with tons of gravy. Servings use to feed a family of 5 or 6 but now down to 3 or 4 depending on how you fix the plates at home. Totally disappointed after having to wait for the reopening. Wont be back.

Hands down the best Chinese food we have ever had far better than even one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the golden triangle China Inn the food was super tender juicy and seasoned to perfection. On top of that the food came out really fast . We had the Mongolian beef and a white meat version of general tso lunch specials and they came with a side of soup and egg roll at no extra charge and the fried rice was excellent this will be the only Chinese restaurant we will go to from now on. Not the same since new ownership and lunch service change. This used to be my go-to spot. Not anymore. Bring back the to-go style lunch service and I ll be back. I don t have time to wait 50 MINUTES for an order of General Tso s when I m on the go. Today, April 6th, 2023, there were 12 people standing around with frustration on their faces, waiting for food. Most were there before I ordered. I should ve taken the clue. The phone was ringing off the hook and they didn t have enough workers for anyone to answer it. They probably missed out on 15 phone sales just while I was sitting there. Imagine the cash flow during lunch if you d hire enough people to run the place properly. Honestly, it felt like they walked by this morning with a handful of people and a sack of chicken and decided to open a restaurant last minute. Osaka Grill is right down the road and I can get in and out in 5 minutes with fresh food.

I have ordered from here for seven years. The food here has always been so good. Today it was HORRIBLE. The fried wontons were barely warm and chewy. The sweet and sour sauce was all sour. The tempura chicken was not crispy and very pale. I ordered vermicelli as my side dish and got chicken vermicelli, which had tough chicken pieces, discolored veggies, and a thin, watery sauce. So disappointed and probably will never order from here again.

My family and I have been regular customers of this place for over 10 years. Lately the weve noticed the food quality go down as the prices went way up. We understand inflation is rampant right now but the problem we had was last time we ate from there, we didnt get egg rolls as we have for years but they were already closed and we just decided not to worry about it. We called for an order last night and made an order and mentioned last time we didnt get egg rolls with our last order. She stated dinner combos no longer came with egg rolls. So I said never mind. We decided to eat from another place. Then the lady called an hour earlier and said this was the 2nd time w canceled an order and they had to throw away food so never call again. They no longer wanted our business. This place is just a shell of it once was and to be honest, we decided not to ever eat there again before she called and was rude. Next time, well eat at Great China on Calder.

I called my order in at 7:17 p.m there last told me that it would be 15 mins before it would be ready. When my boyfriend went to pick the order up the same lady that answered the phone had an attitude and said that we didnt place our order there argued me down after I have her the number. They are rude as hell and there customer service is horrible especially after 8 p.m since they close at 9. I guess she was in a rush to get home or whatever the case may be. Do not waste your time or money going there....I wish all I had to do was leave a review because they definitely dont deserve not even a half of a star.

Absolutely Delicious I ordered the Curry shrimp with vegetables, steamed dumplings( wanted to try not fried but will try fried next time), wonton were burning my mouth hot and fresh couldnt eat those fast enough. I wil never go back and tell everyone not to go there place a order over phone went picked it up late getting to eat when i did i had pepper steak and didnt have mych sauce and veggies where hard when i asked to cook tender and not as much that i have gotten before i called told her about it told her i had some out of it but not much cause the veggies where hard so she said bring it back i did and ssid there was nothing that they could do cause it wasnt all there yes there was cause mostly fired rice thats way so after that them looking at it they would not replace it but asked if i wanted it back nowhell no i dont i didnt want to eat it the way it was so why woukd i eat it after they had there fingers in ite wheres the health department on that i will never be back there to eat

Its been awhile since Ive eaten here. We ordered for 4 adults and 2 kids. Order was all correct, food was still piping hot after a 35 min pick up time (heavy traffic and train)! Portions were huge and very tasty. For the price, we definitely got our moneys worth. Could only eat 1/4 of beef and broccoli w/ vermicelli. Loved that noodles contained onions & peppers. Food was all well seasoned. Enough for almost 3 meals; chose dinner combo with egg roll. $11.75 Located in strip center with Little Caesars, right past train tracks on right. Was not impressed, first I was asked to give my cc # just incase I dont come for the food. Then the fried chicken wings were dry and tasted old. The bbq ribs were very tough and shrimp egg rolls had 1 shrimp and lots of cabbage. Food was not good and will not revisit. I actually called the wrong # and got them. Only picked up because he already had my cc#.

When ordering , why is it that the prices change EACH time I order when I order the SAME thing each week? Not only that, but I noticed the menu they have me order from has one price, but my receipt shows they add extra $ to each item ordered. Why cheat us? False advertising. Prices and menu not as advertised. Good food though.

I would not order from this business because of the service. We made an order, an hour and fifteen minutes later we called to get status on the order and were told the delivery guy left out 20 minutes ago. 15 minutes after that, we called back and a young woman by the name of Kelly said, very rudely, that we shouldnt order online because they dont send the orders over immediately. She also called us liars when we referenced what the previous gentleman told us about the delivery guy leaving out 20 minutes ago. Im upset because why would you offer a service (online ordering) if it is not efficient in processing and then have an attitude because we are inquiring. I made this argument and she said that we needed to contact quickpost about the issue. As if, it isnt a service that they are offering for their business. Our food arrived and was cold with essentials for the meal missing (utensils).

First, ordering and location. Ordering online was very easy, prices are fair (youll get a lot with an order) and there is a drive thru window on the side of the building that can save you a trip inside. Was very happy to see that. Staff were very nice and courteous. As for the food, the meats and veggies were seasoned just right. The rice and noodles, though, were somewhat bland and underseasoned. Im actually happier with this than something overly soaked in stir fry oil, as it lets me season it how I like and it doesnt feel heavy on my gut. Its just a small hassle to figure that out sometimes. Will absolutely be coming back in the future.
