The service from the waiter was good. And the atmosphere was good. We ordered the small taco salad that arrived so shortly that I believe it was preprepared and so dry that I couldnt finish it. And they didnt have the green salsa that EVERY Mexican Restaurant Ive ever been to has. They only had the red salsa.

I ordered takeout from here since I decided to try it. The service was really poor they had me waiting for more than 40 minutes even though I ordered an hour ago. I received my food ready to eat and I bit it, it had an awful taste and I check it it s all rotten. I think the time I spent waiting on my food made my food rotten lol

We decided to try this Elenas location because Buckstin was full. Wow, what a let down. When I saw the inside, I immediately assumed it was going to be the same generic casa ole style tex mex - not great but okay for a quick meal. Unfortunately, its not even that good. We were served pretty good chips and watery salsa. The menu is full of inaccuracies and incomplete descriptions - so much so that the server has to correct things while youre trying to order. All of the entrees we ordered were dry beyond belief. I lifted an enchilada with a fork and the plate below it was perfectly dry and spotless. When you cut into it, dry chicken just tumbles out. It was kind of surreal. We tried a taco, and the same thing - ground beef so dry, it dries out your mouth while eating it. No juices, grease, nothing. The food here was like Mexican food cooked in the 1950s in Canada by someone whod read a description of the dishes, but never actually tried any of them.

I have been eating at Elenas since the late 1980s. Yvette has this location rocking. She and Carol are the perfect duo and their personalities are always on point .. I feel like family. ** special props to their perfect health rating A / 100 ** it cant get better than this ! they have weekly specials both to drink and eat. my favorite thing here is beef fajitas .. In any dish, the chips and hot sauce are always perfect. . charro beans never disappoint and the guacamole is always fresh. if you live in beaumont and for some weird reason have not had Elenas .. go get ya some, if you are passing through, I promise, its worth the stop .. Ask for Laura, she is my favorite waitress in Beaumont, she will certainly take good care of you .. tell em Jason sentcha

My family did not enjoy the food. I had shrimp enchiladas. OMG!!! It was awful. The presentation looked like a child put it together. It was small individual salad shrimp that look spoiled and hard in a corn tortilla not cooked with some red stuff. I thought I was going to be sick. I sent that straight back to the pits. The chicken was ok but not fresh. Im surprised by all these reviews. Was not impressed at all.

It was our 1st visit; my daughters co-workers raved about the other location near downtown, so she wanted to try the Phelan location. The atmosphere was very casual and comfortable. We found their menu options gave you several selections or combos to choose from. They have daily specials, and their prices are fair. I got a taco plate with beef and chicken crunchy tacos, and both were excellent! The presentation was good, and the portion was great. My daughters burrito that was smothered in queso was huge! Im looking forward to returning with my husband. Parking: Shares a huge parking lot with a big shopping center that houses Little Woodrows, JWs Patio, and many other businesses. Elenas parking is close to their restaurant and had close parking.

A bit disappointed in food quality over the years compared to growing up when Elenas 1st opened. Food is sloppy plated and there were items sent back to be reheated. I go here because their queso is a little spicy its really good! I love supporting them because they are locally owned. Last night, they showed out and really helped people who were trapped by the weather. There was a massive storm last night, and a party of 9 people wanted to dine in, and the restaurant was almost closing , but because of how bad the storm was, they stayed open and took care of a nine top. I love great customer service, and I really appreciate your kindness. This is my go-to favorite Mexican restaurant in Beaumont!

This is my personal favorite Mexican food Resturant! I love the authentic taste of the food, the old Mexico atmosphere and the friendly people. Weve been coming to Elenas for years. This location of Elenas is the new one. Its just as great as the old one downtown. When we are in the area we come to this one and get the same wonderful food and service! Its nestled out of the way in the corner of the shopping center and the parking is easy. Handicapped accessible and clean restrooms. Definitely recommend!

Been going to Elanas for over 25 years. Food has been consistently good. Had the #1 Queso for years. Still great. The Puerco enCascabel is a dish I have not found elsewhere, pork tips that are just too good. The PJ special is full recommendation. Anything with ground beef will be great as the spicy flavor on the beef is right on and tasty.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. It was so bad that after 2 bites my whole family refused to eat any more. The queso was canned cold cheese sauce. All the food just tasted off. My chicken chimichanga was the size of my fist and had raw potatoes in it. The refried beans were cold. The salsa was spicy water. Chips were chewy. I wont be coming back here.

A friend in Houston has been telling me for a year I need to eat here next time I am in town so I finally stopped in. Management was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the PJ plate and enjoyed all but the burrito. The burrito left more to be desired. Queso was interesting but good. Salsa had a good kick but not too spicy.
