Worst links ever, whatever the casings are filled with something cannot be identified as meat I had family in town from Las Vegas and Los Angeles I was embarrassed when they showed me the contents of the link. I ended up throwing them away.

One of if not my favorite places for a Beaumont Beef link, Gerards also inspired me to be a master at smoking Pork Bones. People in Beaumont already know, but if youre an out of Towner, make sure you stop by and get some bones and a link...... I keep begging for a loose recipe for them links...lol they are not budging

Nothings ever ready, you must wait or they dont have any. Never a complete menu. Somewhat dry customer service. Had a call in order and drove 15 mins to location and order took another 10 mins from my arrival.

Just recently I ordered $52 of meat. Usually I order 3 orders of bones at a time, but this time I ordered whole chicken, ribs, links. The chicken was boiled or baked, the rib tops were boiled also. The links were mushy which means they contained bread filler and not meat. I smoke my own meat sometimes and this meat contained no SMOKE taste or smell period. I have know the bones are not WOOD SMOKED too, but I like them when you dip in the chili juice All I am saying I will not waste $52 again for meat I can bake or boil myself. Where is the slow cooked Wood on a pit. Where is the smoke flavor. Did I catch you at a time you ran out of wood? I will stick to the 3 orders of bones and leave the other mest alone. Just ssying.

My experience over here was SORRY to say it s Texas BBQ it was trash I ordered a rib sandwich and they gave me a knuckle sandwich NOTHING BUT BONE and GRISTLE and hardly any meat on it. I spent $50 for food that came out the garbage can FYI SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to Broussard s they have the best BBQ in town!!

This was prolly the worst BBQ I ve ever eaten. My coworkers got the chopped beef, which showed up in a soup bowl drowning in paprika juice, with some bland tasteless beans, and 7 pieces of bread. I had the ribs and chicken plate. The ribs were hard and nothing but fat, the chicken was dry. They had no sides. Apparently someone else wasn t happy with their food either, because there was a tray that just sat on the counter the whole time we ate. Will never go back to paprika BBQ.

Ive been in Beaumont for about 20 years and thus was my first time going here. I was looking for good food, not fast food. Walked in and I was greeted kindly by both owners. Ordered the rib plate and beef brisket plate. The brisket was SOOOO tender and delicious, I wish I would have ordered more! :) The ribs are not the long ribs, but short ribs, and they were very good too. I liked that they came neatly cupped in foil, so the sauce did not run into the other food. I love the small and comfortable dining area, but we took our food to go. We will definitely come back to try other dishes. I think this is a great, overlooked place, that more people should go to!

Cant believe we wasted our time getting off the Interstate for this place. Ordered ribs plate. Got down the road to find they were rib tips. About 5 little tiny, hard as a rock pieces about 2 inches long each. Couldnt even chew some of them. Wife ordered potato salad because the guy at the window said it had no pickles in it. She took one bite and it went in the trash with the fake ribs. Loaded with pickles. Cmon, really? Paid $12 for this snack which we couldnt even eat! Avoid this dump like the plague!

This is definitely a deep South Barbecue place that is a far cry from the Traditional Central Texas Czech, Polish, and German barbecue style most Texans are familiar with. I dont mean that in a bad way either. Gerards is true East Texas Barbecue that features real 100% beef Sausage in true beef casings; the chewiness of the casing, the flavor of the hot links, and the earthiness of the sauce make this place a great Barbecue pit stop when passing through Beaumont. In addition; Gerards offers another rare find; barbecued pork necks. The barbecue sauce itself is made in the Southern Tradition; oily, savory, and spicy from a small punch of chiles. This is definitely true East Texas barbecue; a style which is slowly fading away but at Gerards it is definitely not forgotten. We had this barbecue as we were passing through on our way to New Orleans. It was a simple but great experience.

Ive been seeing this place for years and have always been curious about it. This past week I saw an article about it in the local newspaper so I urged myself to give it a try. I had the combo plate with ribs and brisket, rice dressing, potato salad, and pinto beans. The BBQ sauce was definitely different from any other Ive tried before. It was chilli powder based and somewhat spicy. Wasnt bad, just different. The ribs tasted good but they were cut in half, something else different, the brisket was covered in sauce so I really couldnt get an adequate taste on it. The potato salad was wonderful! However the beans were a little salty. The rice dressing was pretty good as well. I also chose to try a link that is made in house. It was very good but greasy, which they are supposed to be. I was disappointed they were out of pies because I read the sweet potato pie was a must have. Hopefully next time!? And yes I enjoyed the food so there will be a next time.
