This place is sooooo cool, good prices on everything, including food!! The place reminds me of a classier vibe of the 1940 speakeesyies. We had lunch & our bartender, cant remember her name, but shes from DP. Great service, a good conversationist & just a nice girl! Damn right well be back! Food

American Trash Bar is the place to be! Mike and Megan gave us the best service imaginable and helped make my sister s birthday one to remember. We were treated like family from the minute we came in. We ll for sure be back soon! Thanks again, Mike!

Hold on to your horses folks, this is going to be quite the lengthy review: So I recently moved to the area 2 weeks and wanted to check out the local bars. I asked my neighbor what places he would recommend. He named a few in Kemah and Bacliff, but specifically said to steer clear from the place called Trash bar. He went on to say that he had a bad experience there and that the bartenders were something else. I decided to check out the reviews and was surprised to hear him say that comment as the place had decent reviews. I went to Kemah to have an early dinner and a few drinks and had a blast checking out what the boardwalk had to offer. I wanted to check out the other bars in Bacliff and chose to check out this Trash bar. I Ubered there and entered the bar where I was met by a friendly bouncer checking IDs. I sat at the end of the bar closest to the entrance and met a brunette bartender and a tattooed girl with short dirty blondish hair that were friendly .at first. I ordered a beer, and admit that I really admired the atmosphere. People were cool, staff were attentive, so I wondered to myself why my neighbor would tell me it was a bad place? Well, ladies and gentlemen, it s coming here shortly. When I decided to order something to eat, the brunette handed me a menu that had a few bar food items and decided with the popcorn shrimp and corn dog. The brunette told me that both items come with a side order of fries, cool, but I didn t want all those fries, so I specified that I just wanted one order of fries to go with my popcorn shrimp and corn dog. Somewhere, somehow in that conversation the words interpreted that I only wanted the order of fries and NOT the items (popcorn shrimp and corn dog) that I ordered in the first place. I received my box of food and noticed that there were only fries (figured it was just a simple error). I informed the short hair tattooed bartender that the food wasn t mine and she took it and asked the brunette who the food belonged to. This is where the vibe changes the brunette told me that she specifically asked me if an order of fries was all I wanted and I said that that I only wanted a single order of fries to go with the popcorn shrimp and corn dog. Her tone became malicious pretty quickly. We went back and forth with this and saw that we weren t going to get nowhere after which I was met with a snarky aggressive question from short hair tattoo chick of, WhAt Do YoU wAnT?!?! . I couldn t help but grin and look at the bouncer who was laughing at the situation. So I just said I wanted the corndog. After this both bartenders ignored me the rest of the night and had the bouncer bring me my food (mind you I never once raised my voice or gave either of them an attitude). I was hoping to have a few more beers but their poor demeanor killed it for me. So I just asked for my tab and left. So if you re still here, you can see why I have left a one star rating. I now know why my neighbor said to steer clear from this place. It s unfortunate as the place does have potential, it s just the bartenders that need so adjustments. Good service, good bartenders at first that quickly changed to trash service, trash bartenders. Will not be returning.

A fantastic place to visit. Great service and wonderful staff. I highly recommend for anyone looking to get away and enjoy some time out. If Megan is working, youre in for terrific service.

Went for a couple drinks the other day and really enjoyed my time. Its so cute in there but also super cozy and felt really comfortable. The shot wheel was a lot of fun and they also have games you can play at the tables or bar, like jenga, cards against humanity, uno, etc. Will definitely be back!!

This place has it all. Our bartender Cassidy is a beautiful blonde who went above and beyond. She made me the best old fashioned drink with real smoke. I came midday the bar was busy but not crowded. It s my new go to spot in the area.

Walked in and the bartender has an attitude because we didn t give her our name for the tab even though we were paying cash for our drinks. She said it was her second day there and told my boyfriend and to get out of her bar. The place was dead and now we see why. Do not stop here, keep going. The place definitely owns up to its name, TRASH!!

This is becoming our go-to spot to chill and have a good time. The prices are reasonable. The manager is always checking to make sure everyone is taken care of. You need to try the SMOKED Old fashion, it is an experience! I always bring new people in, and they all enjoy it. As with any new establishment, its hard to find the right staff, but michael is doing an excellent job working that out. No smoking inside, which I love. Food comes from the taco stand nexdoor, so you know thats good too. I urge you to stop in and have a nice cold drink . Cheers

This place as a ton of potential. The bartenders that were working need more practice making drinks. They have an excellent liquor selection but didn t really know what to do with it. Otherwise is a super chill spot.

Classy lounge bar. The bartenders made my wifes night! Chill happy atmosphere this exceeded all expectations. The sound system is awesome. Their jukebox is powered by AMI so you can enter songs straight from your phone and an ATM. The restrooms are clean. The mens urinal even has a nice target to aim for! Haha! bartender and management are top notch, they made us feel like part of the family. If you are looking for a nice place for date night or just to have some fun and hangout, you cant go wrong with American Trash Bar South! Didnt try the food as the kitchen closed at 10pm on week nights. Weekends 1am for food. Bar is open daily 11am-2am Thanks for bringing some class to American Trash! Parking: 12 in front and side. Excess parking behind the restaraunt next door when main parking is full.
