My all time favorite place in Austin to visit. If youre a fan of fighting games, rhythm games (some similar to ddr and guitar hero, most are unique Japanese rhythm games), or even just a fun late night out on a Saturday, UFO is your spot

Absolutely the place to be if youre looking for the best rhythm, fighting, or even just general gaming experience. Cabs are kept in the best shape and the folks who work here support its excellent atmosphere 24/7. Easily accessible via MoPac, 183, and Burnet with a substantial upgrade to parking relative to the old location. GO HERE!

Great Prices, Great People, Great Games! More of a teen / adult environment. If you want to take a young kid to an arcade I suggest pinballz as it has tickets and prizes as-well as more kid friendly games. This arcade has mostly skill based fighting / rhythm games.

I first went here yesterday(I was the guy in the Iron Maiden shirt). I had read about this place when it was located off of Speedway. The recent move to this location makes it a little closer to home. Always wanted to check it out. And, Im glad I did. I was pretty stoked to see a Touhou arcade machine. I also got to try out rhythm games I had seen from vids, but, not in person. JuBeat & Nostalgia ended up being the main rhythm games I tried out. Definitely would come back again for the welcome reprieve from the normal arcade that Pinballz has. (I love that place, been going there several times for the past 2 years, but, theres no Jubeat there.)

This place is the closest you may get to a Japanese game center-style arcade without going to an anime convention (or to California). And in that regard, its fantastic: you can find Beatmania, Jubeat, Popn Music, Sound Voltex, Gitadora (both guitar and drums!), Chunythm, Initial D, and more here. The venue is generally clean, all machines Ive tried have well kept controllers, and even support network play! All for $0.50~1.50 per play. This place keeps a low profile and doesnt look like much from the outside, but make sure to pay a visit if youre into any sort of serious video gaming!

After reading some of the (few) negative reviews, I just wanted to provide some context on what this place is and isn t. Ask yourself the following questions. Are you: - Looking for a place like Chuck E. Cheese to entertain your little kids for the afternoon? - A basic Chad who wants to slam IPAs at a barcade, wandering over periodically to play some Arcade 1Up machines in the corner for five minutes at a time? - A middle aged individual hoping to bask in the warm glow of 80s nostalgia, immersing yourself in a game of Pac-Man while a poster of E.T. hangs above you and Van Halen plays over the loudspeaker? If you answered YES to any of the questions above, this is probably not the arcade for you. It caters to hardcore gamers and accurately captures the feel of a Japanese play center. These are almost exclusively Japanese-origin cabinets or actual imports to include fighting, rhythm, and shooter ( shmup ) games. Not recommended for young children based on the nature of the titles available. I personally love it but I can understand why people expecting something else could be disappointed. Hopefully this helps.

I went here a few days ago and as soon as I walked in knew something was off. Nobody at the front just people in the back playing a few of the games. I didnt know you needed some kind of company card to put money on so I can play the games. And the machine that puts money on cards was out of order so I wonder how there was people playing the games... Not a very good looking place either. There are other arcades in the Austin and surrounding areas that have way more games anyway.
