As tourists, we stepped out of an Uber and this place was in front of us. I will eat tacos from absolutely anywhere that will sell them to me. These were 10/10!!! I have yet to find a place in Texas with mediocre food. Icing on the cake was the adjoining bar and the ambiance. Also, the prices of everything were incredibly manageable. Definitely worth the stop;)

Grateful for any eatery open after 10pm these days but Zombie Taco takes it up a notch staying open after midnight. Great tacos and queso, and the guy at the register couldnt have been more helpful. If you want a cocktail or beer thats no problem -- the Moxy78705 Bar is in the same building.

Terrible personal and tasteless food. Young black male was very unfriendly, unbothered and especially MEAN to me and problem that I had with their market stuff (July 2024, late evening). His face emotions, voice tone and everything else were so judgy. Like I was homeless girl who had an attitude to speak with the best chef in Austin. As a tourist this interaction was the worst part of my trip to the city. and maybe I just could ignore this issue but food was so tasteless, cold, dry. I took black beans burrito, it was terrible.

I absolutely loved the food and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating! I had the bowl with fish and chicken, along with homemade hot sauce, and it was absolutely fantastic! This place is NOT 24 hours as we walked in at 12:15 am Saturday 1/13/24 and there was a guy sitting at a table that worked there who said they only serve hotel guest after midnight so labeling themselves as 24 hours is not cool considering we went out of our way to go here, paid for parking, walked in the cold to get there, then got turned away as we weren t hotel guest. We were also turned away from the restroom becuase they were closed to outside guests which had they been serving food as they label themselves to be, we would have been paying guest and it wouldn t have been a problem. Poor service and false advertising! Please update your misleading hours

Not sure why lady wrapped 2 seperate tacos in the same wrapper like she had to save every piece of foil. When opened the bag and saw one taco we asked where the second taco was and she was very confused. Tacos are too small even for late night snacks but they still need to separate peoples orders not act as if thed need to save foil

Dont yall dare sleep on Zombie Taco. After a late night out I ordered half of the menu and only was only able to eat half of that order, not because I didnt want to eat all of it but because it gave me instant itis (only the fire-est of comida can do that). The next morning, I woke up to find my late night companion meal was still there laying next to me. At room temperature, we finished what we had started and it was pure rapture. Would totally smash again. 10/10

Taco joint in a hotel open late. Ate here a few times since we were staying at the Moxy and it was super convenient. Highlights: brisket taco and the churros (skip the choco hazelnut dip- it s just Nutella lol). Loved the pickled onion on the taco. Churros were nice and airy. Pass on the breakfast tacos and the Zombie burrito. Too much going on. We were a little confused when we first tried to order, it was pretty busy since it was later in the night and the bar was pretty lively. We were directed by hotel staff to the touchscreen where your food. There were no options to customize your order (ex: no cheese, no onions, etc.). Seating is in the hotel.

I visited Austin for an interview for a job. I fell asleep early in the evening and woke up late. I was hungry and the hotels bar just just closed. The bartender(Hilton Garden Inn) told me to order from Zombie Taco, you can t go wrong with them. I ordered a few Cheesy Brisket Taquitos and it was the best thing ever. Before my flight the next morning, Julio hooked me up again and I literally was in heaven! Fingers crossed I move here soon, Zombie Taco will be my number one spot for tacos!

The stars come from pleasant staff and could tell what ingredients in the taco (not the shell) I had were solid.. that being said, opening the box to see two $5 breakfast tacos and feeling a little ripped off. You can see how much isn t on these shells, literally half filled. Either give a bit more for what you re charging or use smaller, fresher tortillas.

We ordered breakfast tacos this morning before checking out of the Moxy. We placed our order at the screen in front. There was no person to ask questions to, so we just ordered them to go. It wasnt a long wait. The tacos were made fresh and ready to go. The first problem we encountered was the packaging. We ordered 4 tacos to go for 3 people. 3 tacos were neatly stacked in a box unwrapped, and the 4th one was wrapped alone. I appreciate the attempt to minimize packaging and waste, but the problem here was that these tacos were for different people. We thought ordering them to go, they would each come wrapped separately. The tacos themselves were ok. They are a bit pricey at $5 each for the size of taco. They come with corn tortillas that are good but tore easily. The salsa was ok, no heat, though. If youre expecting a flavorful spicy experience, this is not it. Overall, the tacos were just ok.

The Brain Box is a decent, quick meal for $7. However, the tortilla was very thin and brittle. It basically fell apart after one bite. This was the second stop of day twos (#8) Taco Crawl. We ranked each place on service, taste, and space. I only researched, via G Maps, times businesses are open. What made this one of our favorites was the vegetarian option and unique, flavorful combos. This is online pick up only - the upside is that its open 24hrs (really great for students). There is limited seating, I did not care for being right on the road. Overall recommended.

the Taquitos are absolutely the worst thing i have ever eaten !! They were small amd wet with grease. I wiped it off and the brisket inside is so chewy you cant eat it!! I work nearby but wont go back!!!

When you get tacos you expect them to be warm, not downright cold. Had to be microwaved to be eaten. Disappointing. Youll find better tacos at Las Trancas or others outside of Guadalupe. Creme brulee churro were overpriced for what they were, seemed storebought and not enough sugar. Wont be back.

Ordered off of Door Dash. The brisket taco was really good, chicken taco decent but the sauce was kinda weird and tasted like key lime pie. Tortillas were barely warm. Chips and salsa was a huge let down, only got 2 little 2 oz portion cups and a small bag of chips, horrible value and taste didnt justify the price. I ordered quac but got queso and the queso was plain, again really small size - 4oz - that was not worth the price. Never had a taco place be so stingy on chips, salsa, and queso before.
