This place has become a go-to for my family because the food is consistently delicious. We love their Crispy Egg Noodle w/Seafood and Seafood Fried Rice. A must-try is the shrimp satay, which served with green sauce that elevates the flavor. It s clear they prioritize both quality and customer service here.

How is this place not busy on a Friday night??? Yall need better marketing. I have not been to a restaurant in Austin that delivers in so long! Everything we tried was authentic. The food is EXCELLENT! Vietnamese seafood dishes brought me right back to District 4, Saigon. Everything was fresh. They were very generous with hotpot fish and gave us all authentic, expensive veggies. Seasonings in snail dishes were even better than some places in Houston. We ate without remember to take photos. My partner, who is not Viet but has visited Vietnam, thought that this place should be more popular in the Viet/Asian community, and he would choose this over Deckhand a thousand times. Service was great, too. Our server and busser were nice and attentive!

They all came out delicious. The space is clean and organized, with reasonable prices for quality. It is an excellent service!

I like coming here because of the consistently fresh food and great service. My personal faves are the Squid Noodle, Basil Clams, Grilled Scallion Oysters, and Grilled Jumbo Squid, which have a delectable house green sauces & broth. The meal experience is enhanced by the prompt and kind service of the staff.

I moved recently and have been craving seafood. Juicy Claws just happened to fit the criteria perfectly. I ordered the fried seafood platter while my brother ordered the garlic cajun shrimp. We also got four eggrolls from the happy hour menu to share. The eggrolls were delicious, everything on the seafood platter was perfectly fried, and the garlic cajun shrimp was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I would come back just for the eggrolls themselves. So glad to find a good restaurant so close to my new place.

Place was really good and the reviews are not lying! The place was really organized and the food came out in such a short amount of time! First off this was our 3rd time coming, upon arriving my husband and I noticed the menu changed. The waitress informed us that they changed it because the one before was confusing the cooks. Seems this new one sucks and is overpriced! The other menu was way better. If you wanna over charge ppl just say that and not lie to cut cost. We told the waitress the crawfish was not tasting right, she said it s probably cause they are FROZEN . (I told my husband we should ve ate at home or went to The Boiling Crab) oh well can t cry over spilled milk, lesson learned $230 later NEVER AGAIN! (Family of 3 and my son had chicken tenders ) and normally (party of 4 was $150 ish)

(2 people) Started with the calamari. The batter was nice, and crisp, bland though no seasoning. Shrimp basket, hot, fresh, bland, no seasoning, the fries were seasoned but still bland, which is weird.. Lobster noodles, hot, fresh, noodles were fine, basic lo mein, Ive had better, lobster tail was fine, plate overall bland. Everything was cooked fine, but they need to work on their seasoning. Theres no soul or joy to the food, its just food and not worth the $80 that it cost us... I really wanted to like this place. Service was subpar, its definitely family run operation, waiter (Tommy) wasnt very attentive, never got refill on Tea, wasnt very engaging, didnt take our drink orders from the beginning, had to flag down to place food order, nice guy though. Will never return, unfortunately. I have a feeling this place wont make it unless changes are made. If youre looking for good sea food with seasoning and service and wont cost a limb, I still recommend The Boat off Mopac & Braker and save $20 to $30 on your overall cost.

I recently had another great meal at Juicy Claws in Austin, and I got to try some fantastic dishes. The Cajun Garlic Butter Shrimp were juicy and flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. The Fried Calamari was crispy and delicious, especially with the tangy marinara sauce. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was rich and indulgent, combining creamy cheese with tender lobster. The Spicy Crawfish Boil was a fun and tasty experience, with fresh crawfish, corn, and potatoes in a spicy broth. The Snow Crab Legs were sweet, tender, and perfectly steamed. The Seafood Paella was packed with shrimp, mussels, and clams in flavorful saffron rice. Lastly, the Garlic Noodles with Scallops were a standout, with strong garlic flavors and tender scallops. Juicy Claws really impressed me with their fresh, flavorful dishes and excellent preparation. It s a must-visit for seafood lovers!

I recently visited Juicy Claws in Austin, and it was fantastic! The grilled jumbo squid was a highlight, perfectly tender with a delicious smoky flavor. The raw oysters were incredibly fresh and had a lovely briny taste that paired well with the sauces. The large seafood hotpot was packed with a variety of seafood, all cooked to perfection in a rich, savory broth. The lemongrass shellfish trio was a delightful mix of flavors, with the fragrant lemongrass adding a nice touch. And the five spiced wild boar was just amazing the spices really brought out the rich, hearty flavors of the meat. Juicy Claws truly impressed me with its fresh and flavorful dishes!

Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From the succulent lobster to the delicious crawfish and very fresh clams, every bite was a testament to the high standards of the restaurant. Additionally, the staff at Juicy Claws were incredibly nice and kind. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Awful customer service! Owner and server were extremely rude. My sister was extremely polite and told them the seafood boil (crab legs, crawfish, shrimp) were not good and see would like to send them back. The owner instead of apologizing and replacing the meal with something else, he accused her of just wanting to send the meal back because she ate most of the meal which she did not. We paid for noodles and popcorn shrimp that were decent. We were trying to give honest feedback. It s disappointing a new restaurant came into the neighborhood and treats new customers like that. Not a welcoming environment

So disappointing. Always looking for a good seafood restaurant and this was NOT it. Ordered the seafood combo. It was very bland and the fish texture and taste was like rubber. I chose the Cajun fry option for an additional $1 and found out that option was a little Tony s sprinkled on top. Long John Silver is way better than their fried seafood. I asked for an extra tartar sauce and was told it would be an extra charge. $25 meal and 1 small tarter sauce. The final straw was the histamine toxicity that I got. Caused hives, itching and a headache. This can happen due to inadequate refrigeration or just plain spoiled fish. I was hoping to explore their extensive menu but will never go back.

Service was very slow and restaurant was not crowded. We started off ordering drinks and while my drink came right away, my husbands cocktail wasnt brought to the table for another 15 minutes. By then, both our appetizers had already arrived. The fried calamari was ok. The heavy breading overpowered the calamari and was the only thing you could taste. It did not help that the breading wasnt seasoned. The egg rolls were good with the sweet and sour cocktail sauce. They had run out of the seafood salsa and chips. I ordered the fried shrimp po boy and my husband ordered the seafood boil for 1. This time, his food came out, and I sat around waiting for my Po Boy. When she came back 15 minutes later to check on us, I let her know I was waiting on the Po Boy. She brought it to me shortly after asking. Its a good thing neither one of us wanted another drink because our waitress never came back to ask. We needed to get up to ask the waitress for our bill. While she was very nice, everything took sooo long to be done. Since the food was just ok, we will not be going back.

They are overpriced for what you get: salty, spicy, and otherwise rather bland and low quality tiny crawfish (previously cooked, frozen, and reheated), with even a few dead crawfish that should not have been served. The rice plates were good, as were the fresh clams. Don t think we ll be back. There are better options out there.

Overall, this restaurant is a fantastic choice for seafood lovers looking for delicious dishes in a well-maintained setting.

Decent atmosphere, but there were 2 guests in the restaurant on Saturday evening so not exactly the most popular place. Food was probably the worst Ive had in a long time. We got the pound of crawfish, which turned out to be frozen because they ran out of fresh ones for the day, and yet they charge the rate on the menu. We also got the lobster garlic noodles which was awful and I ate like 10 percent of it. Theres an extra charge if you want a slice of garlic bread with your noodles. The slice ended up being tiny and soaked in oil. I didnt even finish the garlic bread. The Michelada was decent, nothing to write home about. The Pepsi we ordered was great. Couldnt mess that one up could they. Will not come here again.

The crab boil bags are SO good and well priced! The service was great as well. I m happy there is a restaurant like this in the area now. The only thing I wasn t a big fan of was the soft music, I would ve preferred something newer age or upbeat, other than that, this place is one I will definitely be returning to!

Ordered a Louisiana style boil and Alfredo pasta highly disappointed, I wanted to like this place so bad considering other reviews. This had no salt no pepper nothing. Boil tasted like water and celery. I am a New Orleans native and still lowered my expectations considering.

We tried Juicy Claw via take-out for dinner this evening. After reading through the reviews, we settled on an order of Garlic Noodles with Shrimp with Garlic Bread, Popcorn Shrimp, 4 Eggrolls and a bowl of Gumbo. The order was prepared and delivered quickly. Aside from hot food arriving expeditiously, everything was extremely underwhelming. There was nothing unique or extraordinary about any of the dishes we tried. In fact, the tastiest thing on the table were the two pieces of garlic bread. Our dinner was $80. The food is not what we expected for spending that kind of money. A very unremarkable sampling of a few items from the menu and we will not be returning.

Ive been hearing a ton of great things about Juicy Claws so I was excited to stop in for a quick bite! I got a cup of gumbo and an order of the basil mussels. Both were delicious! The gumbo was so flavorful and filled with sausage and shrimp. The mussels were also super tasty and I liked the sauce it came in. Service was friendly and there is a ton of seating inside!

Ordered the Tom Yum and the fried fish platter. The Tom Yum was a bit small of a portion and the seafood amount was pretty small. It would have been nice with some rice or starch with it. The fried fish came with a small amount of fries and it was just an okay experience. Over priced for what was being offered. The menu is a little all over the place. It would have been better with a smaller menu and more organized cuisine. Is it Asian, is it Cajun? The fusion was con-fushion-ing. I would rather have a few things done really well, than a bunch of things done just, okay. Great service, relaxing atmosphere, but just okay food.

We ordered the basil mussels, jumbo grilled squid, and Saigon fish sauce wings, and they were all delicious! I dont think I could pick my favorite because they were all good in their own unique way. We want to go back to try the boil options. I wish i had taken pictures because the dishes were all beautiful. Service was great and the place was very spacious. Even my sons chicken strips were awesome. We will definitely return. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and the space is big enough for large families not to feel cramped. Kids menu is great and comes with a drink.

Yuck, this restaurant is not worth the price or wasting time. You only have two flavors: Louisiana dry rub (dry rub for a boil, never heard of) or garlic sauce (you see the garlic but no taste). We ordered hot, it tasted like they pulled it straight out of plain water, then threw cayenne pepper on it just to say it s hot and that s it. The sausage was boiled in water, no sauce to it just a waste. The atmosphere was spacey, clean, and service was good but the food was not.

Phoebe is full of energy and happy to help and make suggestions if you are struggling to decide. We tried shrimp cocktail -fantastic!! Catfish bites - fantastic!! Eggrolls - delicious!! Garlic pasta - so so good!!!!! Happy hour specials are so worth it if you can make between 3-6pm! The atmosphere is laid back and fun time with good music playing. I definitely recommend trying this place if you re in the mood for Thai infused Seafood.

I turn 45 today. In this season of life, I choose to do the things that bring me joy. I was SO excited to consume a crab boil, and Juicy Claw DID NOT disappoint! First, the garlic parm oysters were delicious. So creamy and the alchemy of flavors were on point. Then came the shrimp and crab boil. The shrimps were plump and the crab tasted perfectly. The best part was the Louisiana-style flavor. We got a Medium spice level, and it was just enough fire without overwhelming the seafood. Finally, it was nice to support a local- and Vietnamese-owned business. If you like seafood, you ll definitely find some food-JOY at Juicy Claw

We drove all the way from Dallas to Austin to try out this restaurant. It was such a great experience. The food was super delicious, and serve fast. The waiter, waitress were so nice, kept checking with us if we need more water, or anything. The food was the best part. I am not usually a seafood lover, however, I tried Crawfish, clams, oysters, they were so good. The shrimp garlic noodle was so yummy, even the chicken wings, so juicy tender inside, and crunchy outside. The lotus salad was good too. I would rate 10/10, and if I could rate more than 5*, I would give them 100. Such a great restaurant. Highly recommended!

We had a mixed experience with the dishes we tried. We were probably most excited about ordering the Seafood Special Fried Rice $24, for it came with shrimp, crab and fish roe, and looked great in reviews. But it was disappointing, for it looked and tasted like the rice and shrimp had been precooked and sitting under a heat lamp for an hour or two. The rice and shrimp were dry and what little crab there was was of poor quality. The grilled oysters with scallion oil $14 were pleasant enough, though the oysters were small. We enjoyed the Seafood Salsa $12 the most fresh tasting shrimp and salsa, but with small fragments of not-great crab. We didn t try any seafood boils, but other diners seemed to enjoy theirs. Perhaps we ll try that the next time.

Had lunch today at Juicy Claws. The menu is definitely Asian inspired seafood. I started with a cup of clam chowder. It was just ok. Honestly could have come out of a can . I had to ask for crackers they didnt have oyster crackers unfortunately. The Seafood Tom Yum was meh . Nothing really stood out flavor wise. The Fried fish platter was 2 small fillets cut in half to make 4 pieces. The positive was the batter was light . The negative was it tastes like school cafeteria food. No seasoning no flavor bomb no personality. The restaurant is huge with lots of TVs for game viewing. There were only 4 tables total when we went at 12:30. So it was super quiet and there was no real atmosphere. They do have a fairly large outdoor patio as well. Austin has so many great boil restaurants and seafood restaurants that are amazing I wish this restaurant the best of luck. We will not be back.
