We decided to come and grab a bite at Fareground before watching the bats come out. We tried several places including Rotisserie Austin, Four Brothers, and Shawarma Point. Everything was delicious! The arepas were so flavorful and the baguette sandwich at Rotisserie Austin was surprisingly satisfying. My only issue was that it was a bit empty, like a dying food court. The outdoor area was fantastic but the place just needs more people to liven up the vibes. It was still great family night out though.

Great place to avoid the crowds and the August heat (106 F degree)and be comfortable. Across from JW Austin. Went there twice on Wednesday and Thursday. I had the Venezuelan chicken fajitas on Wednesday and the Tacos on Thursday. Food was delicious and at fair price. The outside are was great for having drinks with large groups buy it was too hot, so I ate inside.

If you re looking for a variety of fresh food in downtown Austin, go to Fareground Austin! All of the food options are quality, fresh, diverse, delicious and priced right. Plenty of space for seating with small groups of friends and they have an outside lawn with more seating. The service is great and consistent throughout all the food booths and bars. They also have live music on the weekends with great local bands. Cleanliness throughout the whole space.

I have not actually eaten here, but I have an event coming up on Thursday at Fareground. I called and spoke to Alicia Maxwell that was very patient in helping me take notes on where to park. Shes even going to go out of her way to email me and help me make sure I get to the right garage. She deserves a 5-star review!

I had the pleasure of touring Faregrounds Austin with Macy today. What an incredible and versatile space to host events and activations downtown. With the amazing food selections and fun ways to configure the indoor space which includes a conference center for 75 people. Then to top it off you have the outdoor amphitheater style space which can hold 600. The intimate Ellis bar space and patio send you into another city. Thanks Macy for showing me around and I cannot wait to partner with Fareground Austin on future events!

Ordered at two different places here on 2 separate days. Food came out BOTH days with hardly any toppings. Paid extra for protein and food came out with only one tiny piece of chicken. Asked for refund and was told no one working could do refunds. Had them call supervisor and process refund for which I was refunded but was not given any refund receipt or any proof that the refund was actually done. Want to see what corporate greed looks like?Go to these places and look at what portion size they serve you and what they charge. It s obvious they are trying to give as little food as possible to the paying customer. DO NOT GO! RIPOFF!

The building is very cool and pretty clean. I ate at Freshii and got a bowl. Unfortunately it was mainly a lot of rice with me trying to find one of the few toppings to make it in my fork. They need to increase number or amount of each topping. I paid extra for tofu too and there was very little.

Usually the bar is dependable on mixed drinks. Too much turnover on bartenders. I ordered a bloody Mary and the bartender looked up the recipe instructions in a handbook. Updated in response to the business comment: the drink was lousy. He didn t ask how spicy I preferred the cocktail. And the fjnal presentation filled up only half the glass. I m not complaining about the time it took to prepare the cocktail. If anything, he should have expended more time in properly preparing the drink. It was an epic fail.

This place is really cool. It was such a nice day to sit outside and eat. My partner got a free cocktail for her birthday. We both enjoyed our meals, however I do not like the gyoza w/ the beef filling. The pork gyoza was yummy. My partner enjoyed her birria tacos and said they were top notch. I d definitely come here again. Also, parking nearby wasn t badly priced. 6$ a hour. Due to visiting from out of town, I appreciated this. And Lake Austin is within walking distance.

Its a great atmosphere, but half of the restaurants were shut down on a Sunday night at 6 pm. The service was pretty slow at the remaining restaurants. When we were leaving, the parking validation for the garage wasnt working so we had to press the call button to help us get out. It took about 30 minutes of talking to someone at a remote call center to get out (either that or pay $49 for 2 and a half hours of parking for each car). 4 out of the 5 cars that were with us had the same problem. I dont recommend going through this ordeal unless youre already downtown and on foot. The food was good but not with the hassle.

Like this style of eating options - however - don t like ordering from an ipad - only to be texted my food is ready - but having an app ask for bad 15% tip?! Pricing is ok for downtown area ( some spots are pricier than others ) BUT TIP ? To who for what ? Tip myself for ordering well and walking it quickly back to my table ?? Sorry rant over. Brilliant atmosphere . Nice food court environment so u get different food options and drinks too at the same place. Good spot for a family visit too cos it caters to different needs. But Quite an unknown spot this, it should be more crowded than it is. Went on a Saturday evening and it wasn t that crowded. I think it s cos at street level only a couple bars are visible. Sometimes it might be easy to miss the food options which are located at the basement. I hope that is looked at by the owners of the place. Tried the tacos, arepas and a kids bowl. They were fantastic. The best were the tacos from taco pegaso . The champis vegetarian tacos were outstanding, the best tacos I have had in Austin. The bar has a good collection of beers too . Overall a lovely place to come by and eat.

I was thrilled to find a food hall concept but generally found its Monday lunch offerings to be less than I expected. Shopping here largely means snacks. I tried bites from four places: dumpling sampler (pictured), rotisserie chicken (not pictured), chicken sandwich slider (pictured), and churros (pictured). My best food and counter experience by far was Jewboy Sliders. I know that food places all over were deeply impacted by Covid-19, and staffing and supply chain issues cut real deep, but there seems to be very little joy in the food here. I hope it improves over time.

He was being really condescending towards me and kind of kept giving me an attitude in front of his coworkers and customers for no reason and it made feel really uncomfortable. I ordered a cider and he kept referring to it as an adult apple juice. Im a shorter person compared to others so I was thinking maybe that was why he kept saying that. Im not sure, but it left me with a very discomforting feeling and not excited to be there.

The Mexican food place is pretty mediocre and the Chinese place is good but really overpriced. Still a fun atmosphere and great place to go if you have kids.

Fareground Austin is a great place to eat and drink in the heart of downtown Austin. The food court offers a variety of tasty options from local restaurants, including both fast casual and sit-down options. The design of the space is modern and inviting, with plenty of seating options, and the atmosphere is lively and upbeat. Whether youre in the mood for a quick bite or a more leisurely meal, Fareground has something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. Overall, I highly recommend Fareground Austin for a unique and enjoyable dining experience in the city.

This was my first time here. I went to two restaurants. The first one I tried was TLV Israeli Street food. It was so deliciously good. I ordered the Kofta Sandwich and Sabich Sandwich. The second was Drink. I got the Eastcider Original it was refreshing especially paired with the food.

FYI They dont accept cash anywhere at Fareground. They only accept credit, debit or mobile pay. This will be short and sweet because I only came here to pick up a quick latte and scope out what type of eats were available. I was staying across the street and the nearest Starbucks was closed, so I left the comforts of my heated hotel room to walk over to Fareground in 40 degree weather with a chilly breeze for a 2-minute walk. Theres a nice open courtyard with ample seating outdoors and a grassy area to relax. Im guessing this would be enjoyable when the weather warms up, but not that day. My interests were piqued earlier in the week when I saw that Henbit had something called Monster Cookie on the menu. I walked by and it looked closed because that area appeared dark with no one attending the station. Womp, guess I cant get that sweet treat. Instead, I headed over the Drink Bar to get a basic cafe latte with one pump Hazelnut. It was $3.50 for a small and $0.50 for syrup. Pretty sure most people come through here for beers or cocktails, but the coffee was decent and hit the spot.

I bet theres good restaurants and drinks down there but I wont go bc no dogs allowed. I assume insurance is an issue, but if its dogs.... many downtown dogs are trained how to act in restaurants.

good place to hang out a bit & do some light work outside your cubicle, even during lunch. Imo, its a bit pricey for food, but its in DT Austin. there are parking options nearby, from a multi-level garage to a small open lot.

Didn t appreciate that we were walking downtown with our dog and could not walk thru your outside grounds just to get to the other side of the street because apparently dogs aren t allowed outside in your green area. Very bad on your part since you are in Austin, which we know is super dog friendly.

Misleading. I called prior to ubering to see if it was pet friendly. On the phone they yes said but as soon as we got here we were told it was not permitted at all on their grounds. It would have been nice to receive the same information prior to, we could have left the dog at home.

My family and I love going to eat at these type of places. Just because the variety of food and a bunch of different choices to eat. Almost everything we ate was SOUR! -Henbit Got the spicy chicken sandwich, that was super sour. It was almost like a banh mi flavor trying to be combined with a fried chicken patty. The pickled carrots and jalapeños was all sour, no flavor. The sweet potatoes was just fried sweet potatoe. The chipotle sauce tasted like Mayo, no chipotle. Iced Fredericksburg Peach Black Tea tasted like just bland iced tea, nothing special. Ice Yaupon Mint Tea was the best thing we had from this place. -Little Wu We had the soup dumplings, they were the size of a half a dollar coin, 3 for $8 dollars. Literally a bit size. That was actually tasty, with the vinegar on the side. Egg cream Bao, that s the main reason the whole place earns 4 stars -TLV Almost everything here was absolutely sour, maybe that s just how their food supposed to be. I ordered the Chicken Hawaiej Hummus, that was really delicious. We also ordered Kofta, that was packed with pickled cabbage. Roughly 2/3 was cabbage, 1/3 was meet. The cabbage was SUPER SOUR. The star of this place was the marinated feta, I don t like feta. Not one bit, but I also like to try stuff I normally don t like. THAT MARINATED FETA WAS DELICIOUS! Overall, the atmosphere of this place was amazing and beautiful. VERY CLEAN. When we were done eating, we cleared our table to help out and the cleaning lady was ready to disinfect the table and the booth.

Really cool concept. Love the building and outdoor space. The food is a bit over priced for what you get. Tried the tacos and while they were really tasty, they were tiny! Also tried the dumpling sampler and wasnt impressed.
