Great service in house but poor prep. Ordered to go inside. 12 wings, half buffalo(spicy), half BBQ (not spicy). Usually a restaurant separates the spicy and non-spicy wings with wax paper or butcher paper but not this chilis. Blah. Some folks dont like spicy and order two different wings for a reason. Separate your spicy from non-spicy with to go orders please.

Honestly the service is the worst I ve ever had if we even had gotten served. We sat at the table 20 minutes during a non-busy time. The servers were all laughing and ignoring our table. We never even got asked what our drink order was. This was about 2 weeks ago. Today my daughter and her friend went and got an attitude from the hostess because their server disappeared and they had no napkins or silverware. Who brings food to a table without offering silverware and napkins? Here s a tip, because it s the only one deserved. Don t complain about working in this industry if you aren t willing to do the work. Tips are not guaranteed. I don t tip to be kind. I tip based on how I was treated. If you go home without anything, don t blame the customer because we see you cutting up instead of watching your tables.

The Chilis on 45th and Lamar may not have moderately decent food, or even moderately decent prices, Just know that when you walk into those tasteful burgundy double doors into Chilis timeless and postmodern feng shui, youre stepping onto hallowed ground. Thousands of souls, and, more importantly, conversations have died here. The motorbike races, displayed deliberately so that one person in every partys view is obscured, offer a 4D experience unlike any other; the tires transcend the screen, reincarnated as the beef fajitas. It all makes for a holistic eating and viewing experience. Seriously, though, Abbi was the best server. She fought valiantly for our party of 10s orders to come out in a timely and correct manner, even when one individual confused the dip trio with the triple dipper and one individual (the same one) accidentally tipped $70. Neither of which are anyones fault but Chilis UI/UX team and the flashing bricks that stand as a testament to the futility of technology and the irreversibility of time. If I get a last meal, Ill have the fajita trio at the Chilis on 45th and Lamar so that I can wish to hasten the sweet embrace of death.

Went here with the expectation that I could eat here without having an allergic reaction. I explained my food allergy was assured that I would have no issues. Ordered a black bean burger with mushrooms, and fries. What I received was a blackbean burger with onions and mushrooms that had been sautéed in butter. I love this chilis! I m a college student without a car so I ve only ever gotten food from this location when I have it delivered through Uber Eats and I have never been disappointed! It s always packaged securely, never missing any items (i ve ordered from here maybe 10 times and only had 1 sauce dip missing!!), and it s made in a timely manner. Ordering out can be expensive but I always trust this place to not disappoint! Today there was even a smiley face on my receipt which was so cute!

I have tried ordering food from here on more than one occasion and everything I order it is undercooked. Now dont get me wrong Chilis has some great food but not this location. Even their Mac n cheese is watery.. If you go to the chilis on burnet rd near 183 their food is great!!! If you love Mac n cheese creamy and super good the burnet Rd location is the chilis to eat at. You can get a juicy cheeseburger cook good and not raw. Point is the chilis at 45th is not a place to eat. Go to the chilis at burnet rd if you want great food period.

The bar lights are blindingly bright. Never seen this in any restaurant ever before. I spoke to the staff, and then the manager, and he blatantly lied to my face and said that the lights dont dim. This is after the staff has told me that they regularly complain about the brightness but he is the one who wants it up at these levels. Were from another college town and recently moved to Austin. Weve been trying to visit all of the local hole in the wall restaurants but sometimes, you just need and want Chilis. Okay, I m no critique but this is quite possibly the best chillis restaurant I have ever been to I ordered crazy specific things and they did it! Like a burger with no meat just buns and lettuce ect. And even something like a coke with three ice cubes. It all came fast and ready. A robber then came in and threatened the establishment but a brave young woman who I m guessing was the busser stepped up to the man and sucker punched him so hard his face indented and then stood over his rigor mortis riddled body with her hands on her hips and said ooooo that s not gonna look good in the year book . Everyone proceeded to burst out in laughter and paraded her out of the establishment (I m guessing into the sunset?) but yes 10/10 would go back, dinner and a show?! Count me in . Everytime! Besides half the restaurant not being open and us (a group of five) having to sit at a table for four, we had an amazing time. The server was AMAZING! The food was really good too! I had the chicken strips and street corn. I added the shrimp skewers which came in a little bowl. All delicious! Vegetarian options: We had a vegetarian in our group, someone who doesnt eat pork, and a thind person who is allergic to eggs. I liked the way our server answered all of our questions patiently. He also managed to keep all of our many special requests straight in his mind and bring us all the things we asked for.
