They make you pay for water.. all beverages either come in a bottle or can and are way overpriced for no refills. Wings are great.. if only applying two flavors to a single (large) order wasnt such a problem. Nope, I had to get two medium orders to get my two flavors. The restrooms are also on motion sensor.. so have fun with that one. Fortunately for me I was only washing my hands. Whats my motivation for coming back?

Since a little kid, Ive always loved great fried chicken. Its really hard to find great fried chicken even though there are a lot of places that serve it. Ive been to Asia on 20+ occasions and Ive always loved the fried chick over there. Anything close to karaage always score very high on my list. This was the first time Ive tried bb.q chicken and I am not overly impressed. I got there today right as the lunch crowds were starting to show up - about 11:50AM. I ordered their original so I could get a good baseline. Mouth appeal: It was well cooked, but there should have been more crunch. Flavor: Chicken was fresh but the coating had no flavor, no spices at all. The oil seemed fresh, but I could taste the oil more than any seasoning. Serving size: Sort of small. I paid just under $20 for chicken alone and there was enough for two small/regular servings. Not overly impressed. The search continues!

My kids and I checked out bb.q Chicken for the first time, and I was impressed by the variety of flavors on their chicken. My kids really loved the calamari and waffle fries. The Galbi chicken was a little bit spicy, although the menu said it wasn t. Despite that, we enjoyed the food they have here. The restaurant is clean, well-organized, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I didn t ask for any water that day, so I m not sure if they charge for it. I did notice they charge $2 for bottled water on the menu. I hope there is no charge for a glass/cup of water; otherwise, it would be a downside. Other than that, my experience was very positive, and I will definitely return. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try out new chicken flavors.

Was there on Saturday and had a great time. Our server was Hana and she was fantastic. I love very spicy food and while the Hot Mala isnt the hottest chicken in Austin it is the tastiest and will sneak up on you and make your nose run. I cant wait to go back.

Food portions were small and expensive. I paid $17 for cheese sticks and tteokbokki. I could have sworn it looked like a full meal online, but I guess I ended up ordering two appetizers for the price of a full meal. Food quality was pretty bad. I could get higher quality of tteokbokki and cheese sticks at H-Mart or Wal-Mart for like $5.00. I don t know if these folks microwaved a tteokbokki pack from Amazon and sold it off as theirs, but it wasn t worth the price. Also, ketchup with mozzarella sticks? Usually it s marinara sauce, but I guess this place prefers to dip cheese sticks in ketchup. Menu is extremely limited. Despite what the site says, this place only offers a select handful of what s shown on their online menu. Food aside, the person on the phone was rude and aggressive when taking my order. Not sure if he had a bad day, or encountered rude customers before I called, but his tone was hostile and unwarranted. In short, this place is a rip off. You could get triple the size of what this place offers in LA or NY. Here, you do not get what you pay for; you get significantly less.

This locations definitely not the same as other ones. Highly disappointing experience here. The fries were soggy and unseasoned, almost seemed under cooked. The chicken here is a horrible representation of what BBQ chicken is. The chicken was very soggy and very oily. The sauce here is somehow overly sweet for some reason. Ive tried the Houston location and the Highland location in Austin and Id rather make the drive there or just get popeyes. Usually the chickens very crunchy as that is what Korean fried chicken is known for and not oily. The place is filthy aswell. Noone wipes the benches(sauces all over the seats) and flies everywhere. Would not come back here.

We love bbq chicken and so excited have one near by, chicken was delicious and we usually order 3-4 chicken dishes when we re there. However, we recently had very poor experience. We are a young family of 5, including me and my husband and 3 children ages 1 y/old, 6 y/old and 10 y/old. After our meal the other day, we were charged a mandatory 20% gratuity for having a large group. Since when did 5 people (with three small children) become a large group? Especially with our 1 year old who did not eat anything there, and, my husband had to go to the counter to order. He was also served a flat beer that he had to go get new one. Also, we only saw our server one time when she delivered our chicken to our table. I was very disappointed and felt scammed.

Went to this place when they first opened and the service was great and the wings were great. Went back today because I was in the area. Walked in and there was no one at the register. I waited for 5 or 6 minutes. A guy came out with a plastic apron on and looked at me, grabbed a bag and went back into the kitchen area. Didn t even say anything. Prolly the best K Fried wings I ve had so far. Pretty good menu selection of flavors and options to choose from. Very satisfied with the spicy Galbi and the Gangnam the Gangnam reminds me more of a Chinese style sauce used on most of their seafood dishes. Online order, it took about 20 minutes so the provided ETA was accurate. I ordered the Half Chicken (Golden Original), and it was very tasty. Everything was pretty juicy, except for the chicken breast. Unfortunately, I dont think its worth the price. Its half a chicken for $17, but it must be a pretty small chicken because each piece of chicken was quite small. I think Ill opt for a different chicken place next time.

Hands down one of my favorite places for chicken!!! This restaurant is very consistent with there food. I visited this place a couple of weeks ago and can still remember the great experience and service I received. My server was very nice and confirmed my order very thoroughly with a smile on his face. I recommend coming for lunch to get their special so you and try more items. Cheesling is my favorite and the rice cake with sausages is great too. I ordered a delivery directly on the restaurants website. Was very surprised to find that I was charged a 30% tip even though it wasnt mentioned anywhere during the order process. This place went downhill FAST! I have to say when they first opened, their wings were amazing. Now, not so much. They closed the dining room AT LEAST an hour before closing time. The original wings are soggy, tastes just like regular wings and not Korean fried chicken. FRIES are soggy, not salted. Pickled radish are cut into smaller pieces (I m sure to cut costs). The chicken here is great, full stop. Ive never had a bad flavor or order here. However, it is a bit pricey - especially for the sides/snacks options, though I cant help but order the so-ddeok so-ddeok. The tteokbokki size is also fairly small for the price. Whats kind of strange is that there isnt any option for water except for bottled water. Your first bottle is free and then any additional water must be bought by the bottle. Im not a fan of unnecessary bottled water and would be happy with tap, so this business practice seems wasteful - especially when I bring my own water bottle around and just want to refill it. Lots of takeout orders here so there werent many servers, but the service was still quick and attentive. Ive had a good experience both takeout and dining in.

5 stars for their juicy, well seasoned, yummy-sauced chicken!!! We had both the boneless chicken and chicken wings/drumsticks and they were equally good. I didn t grab a pic of the chicken as we were too excited to eat :) However I do have a pic of some appetizers we got: calamari rings, takoyaki, and corn salad. 5/5 on the calamari and takoyaki but I don t think I ll get the corn salad again- just my opinion! If you are looking for good Chicken Wings and beer at casual&decent restaurant, this is the place! I visited there with 7 more people so we were able to order many different kinds of menus(i guess around 8-9) so that we can taste as many as we can. Friday night dinner with friends to try out the newly opened bb.q chicken for Korean fried chicken did not disappoint! We had 4 people and ordered the half and half whole chicken, Gangnam style, and honey garlic wings and they were all so delicious and fresh! Service was top notch with friendly staff and the owner was also very kind and accommodating with us bringing our 2 year old, checking up if we needed a high chair, booster. They provide bottled water, and the sides we got were solid and safe with fries and takoyaki! Overall, yum! We would definitely come back, and enjoy the close proximity of all the staple comforts of good fresh eats!

To put it simply if you love delicious and juicy fried chicken with amazing sauces you have to come here. My wife and I came in Saturday evening to give it a try since it just opened. We ordered the boneless Honey Garlic, Secret Sauce and Hot Spicy to try. We both love spicy food, and boy was the Hot Spicy actually spicy! A lot of restaurants indicate spicy, but then arent. I really enjoyed the Hot Spicy and my wife loved dipping the Secret Sauce into the Hot Spicy. Server was courteous and attentive, clean and had a great atmosphere. We will definitely be adding this to our dinner rotation. Go check this place out asap.
