This place is very unassuming. It looks like a place you get cheap fast food. Yet this is not that. Its more a place you get good food fast. I had the Lomo Slatado and the Sweet Banana Boat for a business lunch. Oh... both were excellent. The beef held firm on the fork but was fall apart tender in the mouth. A feat that getting it to that perfect point is tricky. Seasoning for both dishes on point. Super flavorful without going over the top. If youre in the area and hungry, want something different and good. Stop in and try out Inkas Chicken.

The best Peruvian fire roasted rotisserie chicken I ve ever had!!! Also, their side dishes do not disappoint; I ve tried their garlic mashed potatoes, 2 different salads, fries, rice and vegetable medley, and they are all delicious! The staff were warm and welcoming. Service was fast and accommodating. Definitely recommend for anyone to try, especially a tough food critic like me

Peruvian grilled chicken - craving for it? This would be the place for you. Charcoal-grilled taste better than rotisserie chicken hands down. Like many restaurants these days, when paying by card, youre guilt-driven to tip (before any services rendered) by a screen. The service was decent. In addition to flatwares, you can also use the black latex gloves to avoid getting your hands messy. I like this convenience. Ambiance could be better, not too cozy to make patrons spend time chatting up post meal.

Overall the experience was great. I have to eat gluten-free and there was no shortage of options. I met up with a friend for lunch and we were able to eat and then continued sitting and chatting for quite a while without anyone bothering us or ushering us out. I ordered food from this place about 2 years ago and decided to come back. I love the food! It is such a nice place both to eat and dine in at. Take out order took a little extra time as they cook the food fresh and was hot when I got it. The Chicha Morada drink is a MUST TRY if you like sweet drink but not overly sugary. The sauces are very good too. Will be back!

This was easily one of the worst experiences I have had in all Austin. The clerk wouldn t listen to me and charged me for sides I didn t receive. Chicken was flavorless and dry. The empanadas were half empty. Restaurant was super dirty and they were dead flies on food that had been there easily an hour. Really capture the street food atmosphere of Peru. I can not imagine a world where someone could go to a pollo Rico and would chose to have this instead. Glad I tried it so I can advocate against it. I rarely leave reviews but this needs to be left to help warn people not to spend way to much on way to little. Will not return wish I could leave less than 1 star.

This is NOT a real Peruvian restaurant, the pollo a la brasa taste like boil chicken tbh, it looks good but the taste is way far from the real pollo a la brasa, that makes me not order more food, the rice was so dry it felt like I was eating raw rice, also we don t eat Mac&cheese, tortillas or cilantro rice in Peru so this restaurant is more like a fusion but NOT real Peruvian food. I hope they don t delete this review since they block me on instagram because I wrote my option about the food that s very unprofessional and says a lot about the business. The propaganda and pictures of the food are great but the taste at least do a better job and train the people on the kitchen better. The food was great but the service was even better. I had left my Invisalign retainer in a napkin on the table. Returned in a panic ready to dig through the trash. Prince jumped into action with some rubber gloves and a positive attitude. It wasn t in there. No! Jose recognized that the retainers were in the napkin and had set them aside knowing I would return for what I had mistakenly left. I came into this place with High Hopes, but as I m walking in the door is broken already a red flag. then I walk in order my food and I get the most oldest driest cilantro rice I have ever tried in my life and when I asked for red salsa, the guy at the front had told me they had it, but they didn t give me the salsa and I didn t really say anything because I didn t wanna waste their time, but that mac & cheese taste like a store bought microwave made n all. The grilled chicken is delicious. Nicely seasoned and they provide mild, medium or hot side sauce to go with. The ONLY complaint I have is to go orders are put in Styrofoam which causes condensation to drip down and makes the skin mushy. I would suggest using some type of paper to absorb the condensation instead of letting it drip on the chicken. Best plantains Ive had anywhere near Austin. Perfectly sautéed with just the right carmelization. I make them at home and thats not always easy to do. Ive had their jicama fries, rice, roasted corn, empanadas... all has been good. I like the chicken so much I havent tried other meat dishes, but if theyre as good as the chicken I wont be disappointed.

I tried this place on a whim due to the reviews. I got half a chicken with rice and plantains, and a chicken and a beef empanada. This place has delicious chicken- and great plantains. But everything else was ok. I didn t care for the empanadas at all, and the cilantro rice was subpar. The sauces were delicious and the service was excellent. Ill be up front and say that Im not into chicken dishes, but I was craving something healthier and gave this place a try since its down the road from our home. I was stoked to hear that all their side dishes are gluten free, even the mac and cheese, which is really good! And I love that all the items on the menu are labeled as being gluten free (GF) or not. The yuquitas rellanas (also GF) were kind of like fried mashed potato balls and was our favorite dish. The portions were good sizes and the food wasnt overly salty like other restaurants (both pluses in my book). It seemed that the flavors primarily come from the side sauces. Dont get me wrong, Im a big fan of side sauces. In hindsight, I should have bought the sauce sampler so that we could figure out which ones we liked and would have enough for all the food. But not really understanding that, we just pushed through the meal wanting a bit more flavor. Dont let the drive through window fool you...it takes a while to get the food (which is absolutely fine, especially because it came out fresh and hot). Pay at the register, take a number and a seat (if dining in). There were plenty of seats but not a lot of people dining in. The decor is simple but neat. Dietary restrictions: GF on the menu indicates gluten free options. V on the menu indicates vegetarian options.

1/2 chicken was great! Added some steak fries and they were as good as a steak fry can dream to be. Parking: Easiest entrance is right off of wells branch since its not easy to see from the 35 frontage road that that entrance connects to Inkas parking lot.

The chef must be different. The fettuccine con lomo has changed poorly. Wow, I miss the old one so much. Last 3 orders I gave away or threw away. Sorry Inka but I wont be recommending or coming back. No disrespect but that is why you are not crazy busy like you use to be.

I am 1000% Peruvian. This place is not a peruvian restaurant . I am sorry but the food is not totally Peruvian. No hate or anything, but the food is more Mexican. I would say they tried to create a blend of both, but it does not work. The pollo a la brasa served with corn tortillas- definitely a no no. The Yuca balls were missing the cheese .. I could not find it in the middle. The chicken was cold and dry, and it does not taste like Peruvian pollo a la brasa is missing the whole Peruvian taste. The saltado definitely is everything but lomo saltado. It was a blend of what could have been a good lomo, but the meat had some spices that were not close to simple garlic, soy sauce and pimienta y comino.. te tomatoes were way to raw and the onions not far. Even the lay out was not quite it. The plantain could work but mixed in does not work. I would give the limo 4/10 . It tastes okay, but not like Peruvian lomo saltado- it s a good invention I suppose . The huancaina sauce was descent .

This is me and my boyfriend s FAVORITE place for chicken! We come here way more than we should. The chicken plate is always a hit. My bf loves the dirty mac. My favorite dish is the Arroz Chaufa but I ve tried so many other things here and never been disappointed! Vegetarian options: The Ensalada Andina is so yummy!! You don t have to add a meat. They pack on the other toppings! The portion is really big for a salad and the dressing is delicious!

Peruvian review: Best place to eat Peruvian pollo a la brasa in Austin, it does not have the same flavor as the Peruvian one, but it is close. Ive tried all the other places and they are meh. I recommend ordering Pollo a la Brasa + fries. Their aji Amarillo and Huancaina sauce are a must try.

Inka always provides delicious, moist chicken - dark or white cuts - and delicious sides. Theres really nothing you can pick here that isnt filling, extremely tasty, and quickly served. On our most recent trip we had all sandwiches for a change: the proud Peruvian, the chicharron, and chicken and everyone loved their dishes. If youve never had the chicha morada, a sweet drink based on purple corn, do yourself a favor and give it a try. Parking: They have their own lot and it has ple ty of spaces and easily accessible handicap spaces Kid-friendliness: Lots of food even picky kids love, including a bunch of fried dishes and sides.
