This is one of the best park playgrounds around. They could do a little bit better on the regular daily upkeep as sometimes it looks like its kind of roughed up even first thing in the morning. But still a top choice.

This was an amazing haven in the middle of Austin, you see lots of trees, alongside the river, bike paths and truly a miracle in the middle of of busy traffic area. Once you get on trails it feels that you are in a forest with river in view.

Playground: Stretched park everything is sectioned and apart but makes it a longer play area Toilets: There is public restrooms I do recommend bringing your own roll of TP or wipes because its always out and hardly kept up since the homeless moved to the train track area near the park Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but please follow the rules and leave them on leashes.... To many little kids running around for your dog to be loose running over them and jumping on people. Picnic area: There are a few tables around the park not all covered and if so its by trees so do expect bird poop on them

Butler Metro Park is a beautiful park inside Zilker Park. The park has childrens garden, playground, Liz Carpenter Splash Pad and an observation hill overlooking Lady Bird Lake and Austin skyline. The park offers hiking, biking, picnicking etc. When we visited the park was covered with springs new flowers. It is a family friendly as well as dog friendly park, not to mention a great photography spot! Toilets: Have restrooms on the premises, have opportunity to improve in this section

Good morning, everyone...another day given, another day to be grateful! Downtown is an amazing place yo live. I live downtown central so walking & experiencing the beauty, traffic, & noices but in a fascinating way...after 6 months is still exciting. There are trails & parks, & food, shopping & if you are a people watcher....there are beautiful people everywhere; different people around every corner. It is an experience I will always be thankful for. Here are the parks & trails I walked through as I continue healing from trauma yesterday. Playground: Ummm, play on the grounds. Bro its sounds like you either old as dirt & hell dont remember how to play...or you should work on your question. Toilets: Here we go again...umm I wouldnt recommend napping in a bathroom but, you can empty your system. Baldder bowels etc. Please bring sanitizer because: you dont want to touch any surface more than necessary. I recommend using the bathroom at home before you leave. Dog-friendliness: Yes....people & their pets are everywhere. It is becoming increasingly necessary to expand the places we go....to accommodate our pets. I personally wouldnt have a pet while living in the city. I will wait until I move out of TX. Picnic area: Yeah...plenty of space to have picnics however; I cant say that I actually see alot of tables to sit & eat. Interesting!!! I will keep an eye out for picnic tables.

My first time at this park today and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. I live in Lubbock where there are almost no decent trails to ride a bike or jog on, and the set up in downtown Austin is just beautiful and amazing. The only real downside to it is because it s so nice. There are tons of people here and riding a mountain bike on the trail is a little bit challenging just watching out for pedestrian traffic but as long as you don t ride like a jerk it s not so bad
