Nice place, totally nude or clothing optional. The water was surprisingly warm. Lots of friendly people to chat with. The area is rough to navigate in flip flops, so bring shoes. Cost was $8 per person. Cash only tho. Great for a no tan line day. Go get cha some.

Its a decent park but a negative energy is being brought. If youre nude you will be seen. I was relaxing and someone purposely walked back and forth a few feet away and then she looked offended because i looked. If you have an issue with being seen please dont come because its weird to purposely make yourself noticed then accuse people of being creeps just because they looked.

I visit this place often and love it. This place will bring you peace and teach you to love yourself as you are. All shapes and sizes are welcomed. Please don t come here expecting to not be looked at. People are going to look no matter what. Yes, there are creeps out there so just be vigilant. You ll see them at the top sitting there clothed and people watching. I had one man ask to take a picture with me while I was walking to bathroom. I told him no and kept my eye on him. Other than that enjoy yourself. People are very friendly and I ve met some really nice people that we ve become regulars and friends. Just because two people are close and hugged up doesn t mean they re getting it on. Scene is beautiful and water temperature varies daily. Oh yeah you re in water and there are going to be fish. I ve seen catfish and bass. Had one bite me on the back and arm several times.

Went here today. Police had it closed, claiming it was at capacity. Park rangers are openly telling people that it s to restrict the LGBT community because it was Splash Weekend (biannual event). . This is disgusting. The homophobic atmosphere in Travis county is atrocious. At least thank God HTX doesn t act like this.

Awesome spot BUT I wish others would respect space out there. I want to be out there in peace without all the sudden having grown men perched around me. I went to a secluded spot. I saw the 3 men in their spots prior to finding mine then all of the sudden they were alot closer. So uncomfortable that I had to leave. Yay.

Was my first time at a nudist park. I will say it is extremely rocky and very high up from the water. If you plan to go down the rocks and swim, I would say that water sports shoes are a must. Not the flimsy neoprene type water shoes, but the sport tennis shoe style that you can get wet. You will be literally rock climbing to get down to the water and back up, so just know you need a certain fitness level to get down there. All of my muscles are still sore a few days later. Once you get in the water, the shoreline is made up of large, unsteady rocks that constantly shift below your weight. Be ready for sudden movement of the rocks out from under you and sudden drop-offs. Within 7 feet of the shore, you can not touch the bottom, so we stayed really close to the shore. The park itself was beautiful, I wish I had taken a picture. I took my top off but kept my bottoms on. I only saw one other fellow woman topless while I was there. There was some old dude in an inner tube watching my friend and I the whole time we were in the water, and when we got back to the top where our stuff was, I noticed that there were two other creepy dudes that kept walking by multiple times, and stopping and staring at me for extended lengths of time for no reason. Idk why, I was expecting that people at a nudist park would be less creepy and less thirsty, but I guess thats not the parks fault and they probably dont have a way of policing that. Boats often come trawling or drifting slowly by. The toilets are open, a bit like prison toilets. There are no showers from what we could see, at least not at the little bathroom building near where we were, but we didnt seek them out so maybe they have some in another part of the park. We went during the week so there was plenty of parking. It was beautiful, fun, and freeing, in spite of the 3 gawkers, and I would go again.

An adventurous park for those willing to bear it all or not. No need to feel out of place if you want to stay clothed, it s usually a good mix of nude and clothed. People of all types intermingle and just relax and have fun. Plenty of space and most times free music from several sources or bring you own. It can be rocky and steep shoes are almost required unless you re stilling on your towel. I d highly recommend this for a nice day away or staycation.

Update: Warning: June 27, 2024. Two Hispanic males were observed separately stalking a woman near staircase #8. Both individuals intentionally watched the woman as she undressed. One man removed his clothes and looked over the cliff before approaching her, seemingly to make small talk. The woman told both men to leave her alone. The other man kept his clothes on but stood there, staring at her. Please be vigilant and report this behavior to the rangers immediately if witnessed. My wife and I recently visited this really relaxing park. As other reviews have mentioned, everyone here is respectful and minds their own business. We found a great spot near the water and had a wonderful time. If you visit, I recommend bringing water shoes, tennis shoes, water, electrolytes, plenty of sunscreen, and a change of clothes. A word of caution for the guys: there are bass in the lake. One even bit my buttocks! Its a good idea to keep your private parts on a raft or float to avoid any surprises.

Safest place in Austin to walk, run and hike. Everyone is watching so be aware, if youre uncomfortable you should leave and not come back. People who are uncomfortable tend to cause problems for regulars so be very careful about your feelings. Bring plenty of water and food because there is none for sale.

My fiancé and I came here for the first time today, and it was so lovely! People are very friendly and officers are around patrolling which helps keep people safe (they do not care if they see you naked, it is expected, dont worry). It is clothing optional, you are not at all required to be nude so just do what youre comfortable with, but if you are curious about it you should definitely try it! Everyone really just minds their own business so dont worry or feel self-conscious. The water today was the perfect temperature and cooled us off. Be sure to bring water shoes and a pair of tennis shoes for navigating the rocks in the water and on land. Also, if you see any trash its a good idea to pick it up. There are many birds and fish that live here. <3 <3 <3

One very important thing to know before you go, the path going towards the lake is VERY rocky so I strongly recommend keeping your shoes on until you reach the shore and wear water shoes before jumping in the water. There are points where the ground in the water just drops, so be aware. $8 per person, cash only. Long time nudists and curious adventurers will find a perfect place to let it all hang out and be one with nature.

Also, bring shoes to get in the water as it may be slippery and hard

It is a NUDIST PARK, we were surprised because there is no advertisement in SPANISH that warns about this and it was a very bad experience because we were taking my 77-year-old mother. It is not suitable for children or underage adolescents. I thought they should warn in several languages. because there are people who do not understand the language and encounter totally naked people inside this park

An overlook of Lake Travis. Parking is $15 but we had already paid when we went to Hamilton Pool Preserve so we didnt have to pay this fee. During the winter, there was barely anyone there. Bathroom stations are by the balcony. Also a great view from the balcony for an even better view of the lake. There is a tree near the lake with a wind chime. Its really relaxing to sit and admire the lake as you listen to the wind chime.

Being from Europe or is shocking to me that kids are not allowed in a naturist area. They are the ones who enjoy these activities the most. Adults are the ones ruining it sometimes. It is sad that there are no family friendly naturist areas in Texas. I hope mentality will change at some point.

First thing you need to know is this is a clothing optional location, so you will be seeing people take the option. Second, bring water. Lots of it. Whatever you think you need, double it or more. There is at least one restroom that has a faucet and a water fountain. The climb down the trail is quite easy to make, but coming up in the heat can be a little difficult. There is not a lot of shade the closer you get to the shore, so bring your own if you want it close to the shore. The Rangers do walk around making sure that nothing sexual is going on. If they catch you (and they will) youll get arrested. All in all, its a nice place. Id give it a visit at least once and Ill be going back

This is one of my favorite places. Hippie Hollow is the only nude beach in Texas, and it is very welcoming and enjoyable. Nude does not equal lewd, and this is enforced by the park staff. Most visitors are comfortable with nudity surrounding them and act appropriately. Water level is tragically low right now, but I still love going.

Whenever I need a reminder that this is all just made up bull$h!t I go strip myself bare and share my soul with the sun, take a deep breath, and lets that sh!t go. Its a great way to spend a Saturday. Wear a hat, sunscreen, and water shoes. Bring a float. Do not bring styrofoam coolers or glass. Have fun and dont take life so seriously. Its all just made up.

Really fun time. Definitely wanna bring the sunscreen and maybe an umbrella or tent. For those that don t know, it is clothing optional and most don t prefer the option so u will see nudity. Definitely not for prudes. It is $8 for general admission, $6 for seniors, and disabled vets 50% or more get in free. It does get busy so keep that in mind

I go all the way past the end of the main path where they appreciate if you get hard. No harm no foul.

Great park with access to lake Travis. 8$ per person isnt bad at all and it allowed you to re enter and as well as entry to other Travis county parks. Yes it is clothing optional so keep that in mind. Gets deep pretty quickly but I still managed to find a spot near stairs 1 that was shallow enough for me to hang around all day.

They should really have stairs or a ramp all the way down to the water

I may be spoiled because of the beaches I ve been to before, but this is definite not a desirable place to go spend any amount of time in my book. Rocky, few flat areas to lie down, murky water, unimpressive landscape. I d rather go to Barton Springs.

An unusual park that might take you a visit or two to become comfortable with but it s with it.
