recently had the opportunity to be involved in employing the OConnell Law Firm to represent a family member for a personal situation. Doug OConnell personally met with us and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He introduced us to his staff, which was very impressed with and was glad to be able to start this potential relationship on a face to face note. Doug reviewed his extensive legal background and his very impressive military background. Knowing he had served our country during times of war and beyond immediately gave me a feeling that we could trust him. Shortly, as the meeting began, it was very evident that this is the person, I wanted to fight for my family member. He spoke with a kind, but firm voice outlining every step he would begin to take to fight for my family member immediately. He delivered on everything word he was able to deliver on and he was upfront and honest on those items he could not control and explained the risks involved. His extensive legal background and the stellar reputation his firm has earned, was personally noted as he updated us along the way. The entire staff was engaged and supportive in fighting for my family member. It felt as if I had the entire law firm defending my family member. The compassion Doug and his office had for the entire time period was incredible. We were blessed with a positive outcome of our situation. I would not want any other lawyer in Austin, representing myself or my family than Doug OConnell, whether victorious with the outcome or we would have to face the reality of life. Doug would be by your side fighting for his clients, families of the clients, and for truth and justice as if you were a fellow solider or just an ordinary person.

I dont know where to begin this post, because Doug and Laurie were absolute angels to our family in a time of need. Aside from being top-tier lawyers, they became friends, and a huge source of support during a difficult time. They worked so diligently and with such excellence on our case. When I reached out to the firm I was so unsure about all the possible ways my life would turn out, I had never been in the courts before. I had the opportunity to work with Andrew Roundtree (Drew). Drew, has a servant heart and will work for the best outcome of the clients that he provides service to! There were many obstacles, push backs and resistance through out the course of our journey that would point at giving up or surrendering for less. God said that was not our portion, and presented an outcome that comes in the form of uncommon favor! Drew, fought and won for our family! OConnell West law firm was assigned to me by my insurance company and I am so glad we were! They were knowledgeable and were on my case immediately- even though it was nighttime. I was charged with a felony assault. The prosecuting office took months to file my case. Laurie Drymalla at O Connell West made sure that I was well informed every step of the way. I was accused of sexual assault. My accuser was convinced I assaulted her - despite being blackout drunk. The prosecutors believed her. I was referred to O Connell West law firm. Doug O Connell took my case and fought for me. He proved my innocence by showing the prosecutors that the DNA evidence excluded me and belong to some unknown male. I ll forever be thankful that I hired O Connell West. I doubt I ll ever need a criminal lawyers help again, but if I do I ll call O Connell West.

I really needed someone to calm me down with facts and a strategy. Wes really took the time to cover great points I needed to move on with my life. Granted, I still have a 14 year payment plan to the tyrannical system that would rather see men die than to treat them fairly, but Wes worked his strategy that put me in a very manageable place. As a retired US Army Veteran who struggled after combat I needed a lawyer that understood what war can do to a person. Doug represented me when I was accused of Assault Family Violence. My entire career was on the line, and I m forever thankful I turned to Doug for help. Doug beat the government prosecutors so bad they gave up on the second day of trial. He always returns calls and emails and he worked with me on payments. I would definitely hire Doug again.

I was falsely accused of fraud, embezzlement and tampering with government records. Doug steered me through the whole ordeal. He convinced the prosecutors that I was not at fault and there was never any intent to break any laws. The prosecutors dropped the case.
