I have nothing but great words. Ms Blackwell helped me on my case and showed she was very involved with wanting to make sure things were handled correctly. Her and her assistant talked me through each and every step clearly until I understood what needed to be done. Any questions I had was answered immediately. I recently got into a sticky legal situation, and I didn t even know where to start. I did what most of us do - I Googled around and called a few lawyers. I was immediately turned off by their transactional treatment of our conversation. It felt like if I was just another criminal begging for their help. On top of that, most of the conversations opened with their fees before discussing my case. I felt so alone. When I called Betty, I could immediately tell she cared for me and my case. I must have interviewed a dozen lawyers to deal with my 5 count felony narcotics case. The arresting officers entered my home and confiscated narcotics, my 8 firearms, and about $20k. Every lawyer I interviewed wanted to talk about money before discussing the details of my case. Thats how I knew I found the right lawyer when Betty listened to the details of my case and discussed my options and expectations before ever mentioning money. She discussed both best and worse case scenarios and promised me she would personally handle my case and not pass it off to anyone else at her law firm. I like the intimacy of her practice because I felt that I was a priority and wasnt getting passed around to a less experienced partner within the firm. Speaking of which, my case was passed around between 5-10 different prosecutors within Travis county. Betty would have to plead my case all over again each time Travis county changed prosecutors and she never gave up the fight. Betty put together a defense of case files that involved bieng nervous around officers durring a traffic stop does not qualify as probable cause to search the vehicle. The final prosecutor agreed, due to lack of probable cause of searching my vehicle which lead to officers entering my home, the case was thrown out on the grounds of illegal search and seizure. 5 felonies completely dropped. I was content with this outcome , but Betty continued fighting. Betty went the extra mile and forced the travis county sheriffs office to forfeit all of my confiscated money. They tried to drag their feet and make it difficult to recieve my money, but she held thier feet to the fire and threatened litigation and fees if they continued to refuse to forfeit my funds. This made them move quickly and they cut a check. Thanks to Bettys vast knowledge of the law and most importantly her relentless grit, the best case scenario concludes my experience. I highly recommend her services.

She diligently worked (for a year and a half) on my behalf to get a DWI charge completely dismissed with no additional fines or probation. Hands down the the best lawyer I could have chosen. Betty exceeded my expectations when it came to the outcome of my case. I didnt exercise my rights by talking to the police even so Betty got me an almost unheard-of sentence for my case but it took work on my end aswell. So recently I hired Betty Blackwell for a sticky situation I got myself in. She was more than professional and was always timely at keeping me up to date. Because of the seriousness of my circumstances I was constantly worried about the what if s but she always reassured me it would be handled and resolved. Everything was very easy and mostly online and she was able to get my case DISMISSED! ALL FEES AND FINES WAIVED!! Do you know Betty Blackwell??? Yes, I certainly do and I am glad that I was able to use Betty to get my DWI case DISMISSED!!! My bestfriend recommended Betty even tho it sounded cliche but the fact that Bettys name is recognized in the Austin area speaks volumes. Never in a million years did I think that I would have to call Betty. Ive seen her commercial on tv over the past 3 decades and Betty is the lawyer that you would want to call to defend you. Bettys experience and expertise is worth every penny. Might I add that she quoted me a very reasonable price. I was INNOCENT but it costs to prove that in America. First of all, Betty Blackwell is Awesome! She has been my attorney since 2015 and has been the best attorney I ve ever had. I was facing a felony charge for DWI and she got it dropped to a misdemeanor. She is very punctual and informative with her clients. She s the attorney that will call you if your late to court and fight for every right you have! These qualities are hard to find in a defense attorney these days. Not only will she defend you in court but she finds a personal interest to actually care for her clients unconditionally. It meant a lot to me to have that kind of support.
