Got the fish and chips. For someone who grew up In england eating fish and chips. Theirs is. It traditional. ESP the fries. Traditional chips are just slices of potatoes with no seasoning that way you can season that you like . They are especially good with the malt vinegar. The seasoned potato wedges they serve do not go with malt vinegar. The fish was blah and doughy. The other food may be good but I would not recommend the fish and wedges.

Great place for casual drinks and food. Great quality for the price. Fish & chips and wings were awesome. Beer selection was on point. Only complaint is that it is LOUD inside and out. I understand that it is football season and that it is a bar but it became unbearable after about 7pm. Neighbors cant love it that much either.

If you have ever been to Ireland, this is about as authentic as you can get in Texas. Pints are poured just right and you can actually get black pudding with your Irish breakfast. Service is friendly and attentive and do not try to rush you out. Recommend the corn beef sandwich.

This past weekend my boyfriend and I were in town visiting a friend and we wanted to watch the Notre Dame game. We sat down at the beginning of the game, and after a few moments someone came over to ask if we were there to watch the game to which we said yes. We did not realize that the TV was marked as switching over to the Austin FC game within the hour. The same person came back to us a few moments later, explained that the TV would be changed, but said that there was a table of Austin FC fans on the other side of the patio who would like to switch tables with us. I thought this was just so thoughtful and truly exceptional service, especially in an age where so many places make the customer feel like a burden or inconvenience. The person who facilitated the switch and both of our servers could not have been more gracious and hospitable - thank you B.D. Rileys.

One of our favorite places in the Mueller area having lived here for a few years. The bar staff are very welcoming and quick/efficient. The live music they have on Fridays is a must see. Food itself is typical pub food but still very good and highly recommend the Fish and chips. Yes it does get crowded at times and yes service outside can be slowed down due to this crowd but overall this place has been able to maintain a really positive culture and community feels throughout the years. Will definitely miss them! Parking: Validation for garage parking

Food is SO yummy! Ive enjoyed the stew and their grilled cheese. Parking is a little difficult, but there is a parking garage nearby, which is validated by the restaurant with their receipt. Parking: Not many free street parking spots, so I always use the parking garage across the street.

This is my daughters local. Every Thursday shes there with whatever friends she can round up. Its an Irish pub. Family friendly, relaxed, slightly chaotic, with regulars and visitors, sports and craic. The Guinness is good. Generally thats all the matters but the food is very good and reasonable. One thing. The service can be spectacularly bad. Its probably the open seating but it can be terrible. My recommendation is sit at the bar and/or order from the bar. You have every chance of being lucky with the service but if youre not youre going to hate me. I dont think its the wait staff I think its the system. People seem to get lost. When that happens, good luck. The charm, music, food and Guinness makes it worth going but manage the service yourself.

I was hoping theyd have a pretzel, they didnt. They only had a few appetizers and they werent even listed on the online menu. They include a wellness tax. Which I hate. I think just increase my beer by 50¢ instead of charging a wellness tax since you apparently arent a responsible owner enough to pay your employees benefits without charging a wellness tax. Also my beer was $8.50 which felt pretty expensive.

We didn t have any silverware for about 10 minutes after receiving our food, appetizer plates/trash stayed on the table throughout the meal, waters were never refilled. Fish & chips was bland, Reuben was entirely over-sauced and falling apart. Quality of food was not at all worth its price tag.

To whom it concerns: My family and I went to your establishment on Tuesday evening. Your location is 30 minutes out-of-the-way, but we made the trek as my wife had been craving potato skins, and when conducting a search for the best in Austin, we saw reviews stating yours were top notch. That legitimately was the only reason that we decided to go. The first impression wasn t entirely favorable as it was freezing inside the restaurant. The AC and the fans were going and it wasn t warm enough for either. We chose a table to sit at but quickly had to move because it was too cold where we were at. Quickly a server tended to us. He was very friendly, but not very knowledgeable. All he could say was that the things we inquired about where the things that he ate there. He took our order; nachos, potato skins, the chicken strip appetizer, fish and chips, French dip, a Dr Pepper, and 2 1/2 sweet tea/unsweet teas. The drinks came out quickly, but it took a little longer than it should ve to get the potato skins and nachos. The potato skins were a big disappointment. They were so small with mostly oily cheese. Almost no garnishment on top. The nachos had the same oily rubbery cheese on top. It was so bad that it actually came off in one solid piece across the nachos. When looking underneath there were barely any beans and even less tomatoes. The fish and chips and French dip came out soon after. The fish was mostly batter and dripping oil. The fries that were underneath were hardly edible as they were saturated with oil and the juice from the coleslaw. The French dip meat was burnt around the edges, about an inch in, so much so it was actually black, and the meat itself was rubbery. You would take a bite and couldn t actually pull it apart. The whole piece of meat would come out of the sandwich instead. In case you missed, what I just said Only the fish and chips and the French dip came out. The chicken strip appetizer was nowhere to be found. We kept looking for our server, but he was nowhere to be found either. When he did come within eyesight, I motioned him over and asked where my son s meal was. He said that the kitchen messed up and put something on it and had to remake it. It was at least ANOTHER 20 minutes before this showed up. The chicken itself was really good, but the fries were cold and hard. That s how they were on each of our plates with the exception of the ones that were coated in oil and coleslaw juice. For those that we attempted to eat, we didn t even have ketchup for them. As our table, and all surrounding tables had ketchup bottles that barely had remnants in them. My wife let the server know that she was unhappy with her sandwich, and he asked if she wanted anything else. We said no, as it had already taken very long time to get our entire meal. We were ready to leave, but had to wait for some time for the check as the server never actually came over on his own to check on us. When we got the check, my wife left a lengthy note on the back of one of the receipts with a snippet of what had happened along with her email address. Hoping, that management would reach out. Since nobody has, I have now taken the liberty. My wife s sandwich was removed from the bill, but it was still around $70. Hardly worth it, considering the lack of everything.

It s great to have a local Irish pub. It reminds me of any neighborhood I ever lived in in my hometown in New York City. I love the atmosphere, and the people are characters right out of a novel. You have your locals that meet up weekly. You have great music from time to time. Of course you have all the good sports, especially European soccer and a camaraderie that is second to none My only gripe is that the food is pretty darn awful. I love pub food, but this is just greasy and sometimes without any flavor profile except bland. On more than two occasions the fries came out soggy or not cooked too well. The deep fried fish and chips is too oily and again there s no spice in the breading. Even their Irish coffee leaves something to be desired. It s just not robust enough. Maybe it s the coffee beans or maybe it s the lack of quality cream in the Irish coffee but whatever it is it s just not up to par. Will I stop coming here of course not!

It was a great day to dine outside, and this place was packed when we came. We found a table outside (you have to seat yourself, and a server will come to you when youre noticed). The table we sat at was a little sticky, and the service was not great. Someone came by to ask what we wanted to drink relatively quickly, but it went downhill from there. My boyfriend asked for mayo and had to ask for it 4 or 5 times before actually getting it. When we were served our food, we were not given utensils and had to ask for it. I understand it was busy, but there are some service standards that are just common sense. I thought my boyfriends food was pretty bland (he got fish and chips), and mine was decent but nothing to write home about (I got the shepherds pie). It wasnt an awful experience, but definitely not great, especially with entrees being nearly $20.

An absolute must stop when in Austin, well worth the drive. The service was impeccable. The food was outstanding. Three of us went We ordered three separate meals so we could try each one. The bangers and mash for the best Ive had since I was in England, The traditional Shepherds pie with lamb was an amazing, The Guinness gravy superb. The Blackened Tuna Steak Seasoned was seared to medium rare, served over a bed of grilled asparagus and rosemary roasted red potatoes, served with a side of peppercorn-horseradish mayonnaise, delicious Establishment also has a vast selection spirits and beers.

If you want something like an Irish pub in Austin, BD Rileys will check all the boxes. They have Guinness, Smithwicks, and Harp Lager on tap, pretty good bar food, unobtrusive service, and a decent parking situation. Sports on the TVs and regular pub trivia.

We ordered a typical fish and chips food and it was really good also we ordered nachos, those were not so good but not so bad, I know that is difficult to have the really typical food for other countries but as an experience is ok

Nice Irish style pub with good pub food. Some Irish themed menu options complement a typical casual dining menu. Good beer selection with some import options. Parking: Limited street parking but there is a paid parking garage nearby. Be sure to bring your parking ticket because the restaurant validates.

Good vibes for a casual date night. Food was great and our server was friendly, but we waited 15-20 minutes for our drinks and then another 15-ish minutes for him to come back to grab our bill to pay. Our entrees came out quickly, though! Maybe there were other factors at play but it did impact our overall experience.

Loveeee me some BDs! Food is great and reasonably priced, drinks are good (get their spicy marg), and it s such a nice place to just go and chat with friends. Can be a bit loud if there s people watching sports or a live band but that doesn t bother me. Didn t give it a 5 because the service can be spotty. Sometimes you get the best server, other times your drink is empty for 10ish minutes and you can t catch the server or bartender. I don t blame this on them being busy or not, it s happened to me when it s dead and when it s crowded. On one occasion we kept having to call the server over because she never seemed to stop at our table, only the others in her section.

Usually pretty busy and finding parking can be a pain but service is fast and friendly. Drinks and food are good. They have live music on occasion. More of a sports bar than an Irish pub at times. But the whiskey selection is good (for Austin area) and they have black and white pudding!

Went to watch South Africa best the All Blacks in the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the venue was great. Good drinks options, decent amount of seating both indoors and out and the food was tasty and relatively quickly served, despite the pub being at full capacity. A great game and a super pub.

Honestly if I could leave 0 stars I would. Service is so slow; we only got one drink from our order (about 45 mins of waiting) before things kicked off that prompted me to write this review. The owner (I m assuming he is the owner) very aggressively came up to me, got in my face and yelled, get your dog out of here (she is a trained service dog and is allowed to be with me in establishments but he didn t even give me a chance to explain that to him). To his aggressive behavior, I put my hand up towards him and said, please don t get in my face. He backed up and condescendingly said calm down sweetheart . With that short interaction, I realized that he wasn t going to be rational at all with my dogs licensing so we chose to leave, as he continued to mumble nonsense about the situation. The imitation, tacky Irish aesthetic mixed with a hostile owner really makes this place a sad representation of an Irish pub (coming from somebody who is married to an Irish citizen) Spend your money elsewhere where you ll be met with more hospitality that an Irish pub should give

Food was good, if a little bland, but I ve been told that most Irish food is bland so my fault for wanting seasoning (ignorance on my part). (There was some hot sauce, but not super spicy, more for flavor.) We went at 1 and were told that only the brunch menu was available. The Full menu is only served at dinner which was such a bummer. Another thing is that on a Saturday at one while a UT football game is going was really chaotic to find seating for a family of 3 so families beware (again, my fault for forgetting football exists ). Ordered a hibiscus cooler, but most of the hibiscus was at the bottom so the flavor wasn t really mixed thoroughly. Still good for a warm day, if a bit bitter. All in all, for the portion and price, specifically for pub style food, was ok. Was good for a pinch with a hangry toddler, but not likely to come back as the food was not very flavorful. Again, good, but not worth a drive out specifically, ya know? I m unable to comment on the taste of alcohol selection, but there was a variety.

Pretty busy but they were fast with the food. We sat outside because it was hard to talk above the live music. We had Irish nachos which were fun and very different. The salsa was sweet which we didnt particularly like. Veggie burger was decent and my friend liked her shrimp. Also the cocktails were pretty interesting and not bad. Had to flag down a couple of waiters to get food ordered but there are lots of them around so it wasnt too bad.
