Good gym, and still has longer hours than most 24 Hour Fitnesses. All the staff I ve interacted with are kind and diligent. Yes, as people comment here, the gym is a little dingy and certainly not new! If you want new and shiny, go pay ten a month at planet fitness or an arm and a leg at Lifetime my only complaint is ALL of the free weight benches line up directly with a seam between mirrors. Pretty silly miss on whoever built and inspected the facility, but over all a solid gym to get some work in!!

Great equipment, love the location. everyone seems to clean up after themselves. Respectful clients. The guy that signed me up was very friendly and I felt went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. Great place to get motivation to workout. Problem is the employees are hit and miss. I know for sure 2 are awesome and very helpful. I m sure there are more great employees. But when I see several employees talking to each other and sitting on their desks instead of, at bare minimum standing, or at most greeting/helping/ asking about clients workouts, it s hard to like a place. I gotta keep going because it s free. But if I was paying, I would be complaining to a manager. It would be nice to have people care about people at a health and wellness facility. You should enjoy the place you workout at, but I guess they don t make much money and it s hard to stay happy and motivated as an employee there.

I thought they might end their experiment with closing at 9pm three days a week, since it IS named 24 Hour Fitness and all, but they continue to close early F, S, and Sun. And, if you come at 8 they announce the closing time ever 15 minutes, which makes for a stressful hour. Couldn t they at least staff it til 11? Most people who can t do morning workouts have had to find another gym.

Worse decision ever!! Purchased my daughter a year membership online last year, she is a college student and she cancelled the membership in person before she moved away from Austin. Well it s been a year and they charged my card again for another year membership. The manager won t speak on the phone to you, or return emails or even process the refund. I disputed it with my credit card company, fast forward a week and guess who went and charged my card again!!!! 24 Hour Fitness now I have to wait for it to post again and dispute again as OJ won t do his job!!! Buyer Beware they won t delete your card info and you can t delete it unless you add a new one. An update now they have returned one of the charges but not the other bigger charge and my credit card company added back the charges since they returned the one. What a headache!! Now I have to go through it all again!

The sauna has a strong chemical pool smell that bothers me because well, its right next to the pool. Sauna is kept hot which is good. Too many creepy old men stare at you. Im guessing the old men like the pool because I go to golds and no creepy old men stare at me. I wear baggy clothes btw lol.

Like so many gyms since COVID, it is overcrowded trash. It has been some years since I have been charged by a gym I am not even going to, but I was told there was no auto-renew on 1 year memberships and yet they charged me anyway. I had at one point in my life been a happy multi year member of this gym. I am disgusted to be taken for a ride like it was the 90s. I will never, ever join 24 hour gym again. Just disgusted. I dont have the money for this garbage. They just hate people and could not conceivably care any less how they hurt people.

It s fine. It s small and crowded so I m usually waiting for machines, even not in rush hour (like 9pm). Basketball is good but the court is unusable on rainy days as the floor is wet and slippery, and the AC breaks in the summer so it s a sauna in there. The bathroom (not shower/locker area) is perpetually covered in pee or toilet water and smells like it- really old plumbing and worn down tile etc. Don t expect luxury. But I like my gym and it serves its purpose.

I m from Dallas, in town for the weekend. Stopped at this location to do a late night work. Upon entering I was greeted by Eddy who went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable with the unfamiliar layout. He personally walked me over to the locker room (I didn t have a lock for the lockers) so he went out to his car and grabbed his personal lock for me to use. I was turned around looking for some equipment and before I could go searching, Eddy walked up and asked what I needed then proceeded to grab the equipment and put it together for me (Tbar for back). Even said goodbye on my way out. Eddy definitely made his way into my top 5 for best customer service of all time. Thank you again for all your help!

It s a serviceable gym, but I d suggest exploring other options for a couple of reasons. There s a pretty extensive amount of equipment but lot of it is old to the point of the weight amounts being worn off. There s a pool, whirlpool, and sauna. There s supposed to be a steam room but it s been out of service for the 2 months that I ve been here. The absolute worst part of this gym is the bathrooms/locker rooms. Absolutely disgusting, it s pretty evident that they re not regularly cleaned or restocked. Some of the showers have literal holes in them. The gym seems to be pretty well occupied so I think it s more of a lack of interest on part of ownership/management. Unless you live really close and have that convenience factor, again I would suggest exploring other options.

This gym has been very dirty for about 6-8 months now. Floors are so dirty in the locker room that I would caution someone walking bare foot. I don t know why or what s happened but it does appear no one is cleaning. I have complained about it and even offered to come in and clean for them. I see a lot of staff members not doing anything. It seems like they could close down the women s bathroom for thirty minutes and clean the floors. There is hair all over the showers too. Even at the pulley machines, if you look down in the middle it s just nasty. Most of the equipment is only being cleaned by members. There is a large amount of dirt around it. I mainly have a membership with 24 hour fitness because there is a pool and hot tub. And this location has longer hours and I love the way it is set up better. The other location is much cleaner.

The locker rooms are absolutely repulsive. The smell will make you gag and they are full of dirty water, hair, pee and mold all over. Do not walk barefoot! The steam room is broken 90% of the time. The gym equipment is worn out and breaks often. The place is crowded. They close at 9pm on Fri Sat and Sun which are the days when a late night workout hits best. So why did I give them three stars? Because it s really really cheap and they do have a working hot tub, pool, sauna and indoor basketball court which is impossible to find elsewhere. And Monday to Thursday is 24 hours, also impossible to find anywhere else. So I will grudgingly keep my membership.

I recently visited this gym, and I must say it left me quite disappointed. I opted for an annual membership, and given that this is one of the two 24-hour fitness facilities in Austin (the other operating for just 12 hours and the place where I got my membership), I expected a high standard. Now, what really bugged me was the cleanliness, or rather, the lack of it. I mean, seriously, how can they justify having cleaning services just once a day for a place thats open 24/7? It doesnt add up. The locker room was, well, lets just say it wasnt a pleasant experience. It smelled like a subway restroom, and I could see dirt and mud all over the floor. The unmistakable smell of urine hung in the air. To put it frankly, it looked like they hadnt bothered to clean the locker room and showers for at least three days. I had plans to hit the sauna, but as soon as that funky smell hit my nose, I made a beeline for the exit. I believe 24-Hour Fitness can do better. It feels like a letdown to have a 1-year membership and then encounter what Id call a Charlie Foxtrot situation. The only reason I didnt give it a 1-star rating is because the attendant was actually helpful. As for making things better, heres my take. They seriously need to up the cleaning game, especially in places like the locker room. And they absolutely have to deal with that smell issue; its a mood killer. Right now, Im thinking about reaching out for a refund because it just doesnt make sense to have a membership that gives you access to multiple gyms, but only one of them is reasonably fit for human occupancy. All in all, my experience at this gym didnt live up to my expectations, and I hope they take feedback seriously and make some much-needed improvements.

Im paying almost the exact same lol Idk why I never switched sooner. 24 also never emailed me back when I addressed these complaints (as Im sure they havent for anyone). They dont care. Just leave. Im also writing a review to share and agree with the others about how gross this place is. Im someone that used to workout in an old iron gym with outdated machines and low lighting, so I dont need super up to date equipment and honestly Im pretty flexible even on cleanliness. I get that some gyms just arent as immaculate as others, but I have to finally say something. Its really really bad here... seriously.. Another reviewer said not to listen to the people complaining about the cleanliness. Just look at the pictures that people are posting then. You cant deny that. Thats mold on the walls... This gym lost my business when they tried to charge me an Annual membership fee. Theres no sense in giving this gym extra money when the bathrooms are disgusting, the staff is inattentive to the sanitization stations, and trainers sit on important equipment for well over an hour helping their clients. I literarily waited for sixty + minutes for a deadlift bar while the trainer ate cupcakes and his trainee sat in the bathroom for over thirty minutes before standing around the bar for another thirty maybe doing one-two sets? But aside from the staff and the subpar gym conditions - Its the patrons that REALLY make this place dull. People unable to wipe down after using the equipment, trash frequently left at each station. Ive trained at several franchise gyms, including many Independent gyms. The people here are by far some of the worst Ive encountered. This gym isnt perfect but Ive been a member since June 2022 and for the most part Ive enjoyed this location. That is until today. I was deadlifting off of the floor like I have done at least a hundred times at this location when I was approached by one of the master coaches RAY TAMEZ. He asked me, why dont you deadlift on the platform? Before I even got a chance to fully respond and tell him that the squishy platforms the weights sit on shift and make it difficult to maintain proper form, he hastily tells me that pulling from the floor is tearing the floor up and continued to passively aggressively scold me for deadlifting on the floor. To me that was odd because Ive seen plenty of other lifters deadlift on the floor. Theres also another trainer that teaches deadlift on the same floor I was on! Ive also deadlifted off of the floor almost three times every week in front of almost every other staff member and was never approached. I told him do you want me to stop and he again says well youre tearing the floor up but doesnt give a straightforward yes or no. My friend who was also at the gym came over to ask me what happened and Ray comes back to continue talking 5h1t and I finally ask him do you want me to stop or not because he was being immature and passive aggressive. He could have been professional and just straight up asked me to deadlift on the platform instead of the floor. I cancelled my membership because I dont appreciate being harassed by insecure staff members. Everyone else on the staff has been great up until this point but this experience has really disappointed me. Hopefully this can be a learning experience for Ray Tamez and he can work on his people skills and communication. Im going to go to another gym that is more professional. Also I only had 225 Lb on the bar lol. And the mens restroom is absolutely disgusting.

He treated me with very racist words because I am Hispanic. other witnesses reported this fact to the gym administration. But at the end there was no effective action on the part of the administration of the gym to protect my rights as a person and client. The aggressor was not even asked to leave the gym and no action against him was taken. As a victim of this situation, I canceled my membership on the spot, since I do not feel comfortable or safe at this location anymore.

This place is the perfect gym! Tons of machines and equipment. Always clean and has sanitizing spray with paper towels so we can also help keep it clean and safe for others to use. This place has a huge basketball court indoors and can put up a net for volleyball. The trainers are very helpful and professional. What I love most about this place is the steam room, sauna, hot tub, and swimming pool. This gym also has showers and locker rooms. And they do classes upstairs as well. By far the best gym Ive joined!

I have been to many dirty 24 hours fitness but this one was the most dirty one, it s seems there is no one is cleaning or the cleaner is don t know how to clean, on top of that there is absolutely zero maintenance on everything equipment is at least 20 years old mirror is dirty to the extent I keep feeling something wrong on my face. Tiles are falling apart all over the place. The tiles is eaten out by the water, the swimming pool is so hazy this place really need serious attention if you don t have money to maintain the place just close it the shower area has no curtain however there is a rod for the curtain. I would never ever come to this location again

The company clearly doesnt care about cleanliness. The mens bathroom hasnt been cleaned in 3 days (72 hours of continuous operation). Theres only one staff member at all times but plenty of personal trainers around...I thought this would be a step up from planet. Management has been told of this problem and continues to fail and leave things unsanitary (see how many prior reviews mention how dirty this place is!). If management does something about this, Ill delete my review and happy to give 5 stars Update: Management replies with the same boilerplate response for each negative review...this should tell you something about the level of care and concern they have about member feedback

I lifted here from 2012 to 2019. It was good vibe, most always left with a pump! Its a gym with weights, plates, dumbbells. No cross fit. This was my 1st week back here post Covid and wow it has torpedoed into trash. Im assuming its going to be demod for condos here soon as there is no other reasonable explanation for its poor condition. Lets start with the water bottle refill station or lack there of. Its was previously a struggle to get one installed, it was often broken, always the same excuse from the front desk weve asked management to fix it but it was always broken. Fast forward to 2023. This gym is busier than ever, like stuffed to the gills from 4 to 7, so you think they could justify a water bottle filler. I googled what the cost of a commercial filler is. They range from $750 to $1,500. Lets just say $1,500 for the high end filler + $500 for install. Lets say low estimate 1,000 people a day use the gym, I think this is conservative estimate. Lets say each person uses it one time and it last for a year. 1,000 uses x 365 days / $2,000. This means it would cost 24 fitness 0.55 US cents per a membership per a year to have a proper water bottle filler installed. If you think this is ridiculous go look at the mens bathroom. The place is a joke.

The bathroom is the absolute worst Ive ever seen at a 24hr fitness gym and as a travel nurse Ive seen many. No way Id pay to work out at 24hr fintess if this was to be my go to spot. If its actually important for 24 hr fitness to provide a clean, comfortable environment for all gym members they would you know, clean their bathroom and locker room every once in a while! But one look at its pretty clear that providing a clean and safe environment is not a priority for the management at this location. Look how many times you see this quote below! When is this future going to actually happen?? Thank you very much for your feedback, It is important for us to provide a clean, comfortable environment for all gym members, so this is disappointing. The gym equipment is aight. They havent really added anything new and many of the machines need replacing or maintenance. The locker rooms need to be gutted and completely replaced. There is mold everywhere. If I could report them for some kind of health violation, I would. The same mold has been in the same places in the shower stalls in the mens locker room for over a year. They clean the toilets/urinals every other month, it seems, since there was thick green mold in the urinals for the longest time. The smell was horrendous. This is more than just unacceptable, its a health hazard. If I wasnt moving in a month, Id change gyms, but Ive already paid the annual price a year ago and Im about to leave.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!!!! [20 October 2022.] By far one of these best workout/fitness health club facilities I ve been a member of. I never really heard of 24 Hour Fitness up until recently. I am a gym fanatic, and have had a membership at multiple Gym clubs. What I kept running into was time . Multiple gym clubs have limited time frames their members could schedule their workouts around. This limited time frame became absolute once I joined 24 Hour Fitness! This particular 24 Hour Fitness has a: Sauna Whirlpool (jacuzzi) Lap pool ( swimming pool) Steam room Is open 24/7! From 1am-4am the co-ed Sauna will be made for staff to clean it. The staff is cool. People are minding their business. Huge facility I get positive vibes when I walk into this gym. I m even exited when I arrive here. Soon as I see the gym; I m at ease knowing I don t have to worry about having only one hour or so left to workout before they close.

Its dirty the staff kinda cleans in the morning but honestly its more for show the mens shower has yellow stains everywhere and the same dirty brown spots on the shower glasses are still there 5 months later! Its truly disgusting luckily others like myself will clean up things staff ignores 2. Everything is always broken the steam room works for 1 month then it goes down again the elevator is down scan in machines dont work and the sauna will probably go down again its the inconsistent 3. And now for the worst the staff really just not care half the time they look like they are on vacation They dont greet you if someone ask them a question they say they dont know every single staff member has done this if these people dont care about cleaning or say idk when its gonna get fixed why are they even there? Im really thinking hard on cancelling my membership the price is great people are calm for the most part but it just isnt a good experience hopefully someone reads this and its someone in charge to that person please for the love of God clean those dirty showers and train your staff better

Handicap stall had literally feces all over the floor, a urinal overflowing with urine, and a sink with dried up throw-up probably because there aren t any trash cans in the locker room but still. And this was after an employee had done what I guess was supposed to be a cleanliness walk through You ll definitely wanna save the shower for when you get home. I ve been to a lot of 24 hour locations and this one is definitely one of the best. Obviously we can always find something to complain about but overall this location has good customer service, attentive service staff, clean and well-maintained. The pool, Jacuzzi and steam room/sauna area is great! The steam room can be down at times because people pour water on the thermostat inside which can break the heating sensor. The sauna is great, very hot and the pool is clean, perfect temperature and this area is usually not busy. The Jacuzzi was also on point, very hot (which is rare) and clean. The area might not be the best in terms of location but definitely recommend this 24 if you re in the market for a gym. Pricing is also good, par with any other gym in the area, especially relative to what they offer.

1st off, thank you for remaining open and showing up! I have been a loyal gym rat at this location since 2016! I have seen things through with this location to the good the bad and the pandemic. I was willing to pay even when all business were mandated to close. Although operating hours have varied, 24 hour fitness has reached out and asked for feedback through surveys via email. I have taken the opportunity to submit feedback and I can definitely see that they take everything into consideration. I m extremely grateful for the staff members that show up to work every day. I love the level of communication and transparency. I m very excited that we re getting 24 hours operational hours back up and running March 7, 2022. I have not found another gym in Austin Texas with as many amenities as this one has. Indoor basketball court, free weights, classes, lifting machines, cardio machines, sauna, whirl pool, swimming pool, and steam room. They always have nice clean locker rooms. If anything is worn or broken. You can let the front desk know and they will have new or repair equipment within the week. This is one of the location that made it through. I submit my feedback through the proper channels and I feel very heard as a consumer! Keep up the great work!
