3 years ago I had an event take place that could ve ruined my career effecting my families life dramatically if my charges was not dropped. I called David after talking to another attorney which wanted to charge me twice the amount David did. David spent two hours our first call listening to my story and made me feel like family assuring me he would take care of me. Today I got a call from David saying he got ALL MY CHARGES DROPPED! Had a situation back in 2017 and one day I received a card in the mail from his office. I was pricing lawyers at the time and David was the most reasonable one. I didnt have to make a payment until the next month and he gave me a monthly payment schedule which was clutch because a lot of law offices wanted a large deposit or full payment up front. He is highly respected in the courts. Great team who communicates with you every step of the way. Got a charge lowered and dismissed through deferred adjudication. Fast forward years later, another mishap took place and Chambers came to my rescue once again. Getting charges dismissed. Represented me ever since 2017.

He always returned my calls or texts promptly and worked very hard to free my son from a very old charge that popped up. Three stars at the moment but may change pending outcome of my two year ongoing case. At the start of my case pre-COVID everything seemed a bit bleak but this practice gave me some hope. However, as time progressed and the pandemic progressed, Id periodically email or call just to get/give updates to my attorney, and the responses were never of anything positive or reassuring. Actually, responses were very generic as if it was a pre-written message. At some point this year, the attorney assigned to my case changed and documentation got lost (to add to the worries and concerns). There was an offer made to have my case changed to something else, but it just seemed rush and not right. This feeling was brought upon partially by when I picked up the phone, I was called the wrong name, the case being discussed initially wasnt mine, and I was being spoken to in a language I honestly rarely use, and I am out of practice with it... to me that just seems very impersonal; I could be wrong though. COVID have pretty much halted and backed up everything and I do understand all that to be fair. On this note, I decided to go an alternate route with my case, and keeping my fingers cross with the current status and hoping for great things as these other reviews have awesome end results. Although my case is just about two years old, its still fresh in my mind since it was partially traumatizing. On the flip side, Meredith is awesome and is a great welcoming presence each time arriving to the building. My case is still ongoing, staying optimistic, and staying on top of it as much as I can... and most importantly, behaving and doing right. Hoping to turn this three star into a five.

I m not from Austin and I was there for an interview and seven fortunate things happened in the evening that caused me to reach out and find an attorney I could trust. I honestly don t even know where to begin. I haven t, BY FAR, been the easiest client to work with by any means. I neglected court dates, neglected communication with this Law Firm and, still, they continued to stand beside me...reset....after reset........after reset, missed court date after missed court date.....they continuously continued to represent me without resentment. This Law Office and their Attorneys are amazing! They got two out of three of my cases Deferred adjudication and the third one out right Dismissed. Definitely worth every penny! I am very disappointed in Chambers & Associates. I put in for an early discharge December of last year and paid $1,000. I keep getting no results. What a waste of money. Im still waiting a year later. This law office is intimidated by the sentencing Judge I have. Judge Kennedy. If I could rate no stars, I would. Served more time than I should have, and still am. I wish I would have obtained better counsel for sure. Save your $$

I have to be honest while writing this review. Mr. David chambers and his associates are BULLDOGS!!! I have to say this group of lawyers are very solid. They are caring and have genuine care and concern about their clients. Throughout my case frustrations grew on my end but they were there to comfort me and firmly let me know that they are fighting for me until the wheels fall off!!! I was riding in the passenger seat with my other two friends, driving down the south i35 frontage road. We were on the way to my friends a couple blocks away. Navigating my friend badly I told him to take a right onto 41st slightly late, so he took it wide. At that point we noticed a police explorer following us. Seconds later he threw on the lights. To my knowledge we did nothing illegal, however my friends inspection sticker was expired. We pulled up to the red light at red river and 41st and the officers immediately came upon us. I sat quietly in the passenger seat, while my friend ran through the process of showing his identification and insurance. My friend didnt have his insurance card on him, so the officer had to look it up on his computer. Meanwhile, they told us to pullover to the side in front of groovy automotive. We cooperated every bit of the way. Then the officers said they smelled marijuana, and without asking us about it they told us to step out of the car and started to search it. My friend had a water pipe, grinder and a few grams of bud in the back seat with him; he also partook in a joint before he joined me and my other friend, so thats where the smell was coming from. The officers confiscated all the paraphernalia and marijuana, but did not write my friend up for it. As they continued to search the car they kept me and the driver in the back of their squad car handcuffed, while my other friend was being confronted by the officers about the marijuana. Then they found a backpack in the passenger seat. In the backpack they found a quarter of mushrooms. Not knowing the legality of the substance the officers then proceeded to radio people downtown, asking what they should do. They told them to make an arrest. The officer came to me to find out whose backpack it was being that it was in the front with me in the passenger seat. I may have admitted to it being mine, but I did it out of fear of what would happen to all of my friends, but truthfully the mushrooms were not even mine nor was the backpack. I was the only person arrested and brought down to central booking that Friday evening.

He was also gracious enough to let me pay via a payment plan that we both drafted and agreed to. I only had to be in court twice and David was able to get my case completely dismissed. I just want to say that of all the different choices for Criminal Defense Attorneys in Austin, I think I found the best one. The price was such a good value, I feel like I paid too little. (Although I wouldve paid way more for a full dismissal) David Chambers, and his team Manda, Alex, and Ross were readily available during working hours, and were extremely communicative, friendly, and responsive . They got me the best possible sentence I couldve have hope for, never left me in the dark, and didnt let me give up hope when that is all I wanted to do. The DUI laws in Austin are no joke. Choose to not drink and drive and save yourself the potential hangover. However if you still choose to, and get caught, youll need the best lawyer possible. You cannot go wrong with these guys.
