Update: someone tried to run her credit card the next morning for $1,300. Based on the other reviews, it seems like things are stolen at this place on a regular basis. My wife s wallet was stolen out of her purse tonight while we were at Cat s Pajamas. We tried calling as soon as we realized it was missing, 10 minutes after we left, and nobody has answered the phone.

I would rate this place 0 stars. I was there less than 15 minutes and my phone was stolen out of my pocket. I have never had a phone stolen. I have lived in Austin for 6 years and I have travelled extensively -- I am super careful with my belongings. I shouldnt have even come here since several friends reported getting phones/wallets stolen on a previous weekend. So this is a heads up to anyone thinking about going here. Its truly not worth it and they have a very committed thief who is regularly making the rounds.

Tonight was better than other nights. Usually the bartenders are disconnected from the crowd but tonight they were nice and attentive. The music is always great. Its a fun place, but drinks are pricier than most places.

Terrible experience. The owner was rude and condescending. We were visiting from out of town and asked for a drink (vodka and Cranberry). The owner was actually working the bar. He was patronizing and refused to make it. We had to ask another bartender. When we mentioned our concerns he just laughed. We would never go back. The music there was great but the service was horrible.

Physically and Verbally assaulted by staff. It s not safe here. Especially if you are a woman, please do yourselves a favor and skip this bar while making your way down 6th. The manager Brad did nothing and laughed while watching another staff member scream at, call names and throw objects and drinks at patrons. It was honestly the most incredibly sad showing of hospitality I have ever experienced in my entire life. If you want to get giant bottles of bug spray thrown at your head from across the bar and drinks dumped in your lap by staff, this is the place for you! You must be thinking well what did you do to make someone that upset (even though nothing honestly warrants that childish and unsafe behavior)? I sarcastically thanked the DJ for being rude about denying a song request and then went back to my table. That s it and he became belligerent. It was the DJ who did these things while the bartender and manager watched on, laughing. While throwing things at me, he was missing and hitting other people in the bar. A poor girl next to me had things thrown at her back which caused her to be injured. About 5 other people at the bar witnessed this and also went to the bartender to tell him what was happening in the moment and nothing was done. I filed a police report and hopefully this page will no longer exist soon because this bar will not be open much longer.

Great Atmosphere! The music and swings really made it fun! Bartenders were very nice and really wanted you to have fun time. Cups were A+ on point. I got a cup that was Shamu. so you know.... Only thing was that I am convinced there was no alcohol in the drinks. I had 4 drinks while I was there and my friend had half a white claw and was more tipsy than I was. I just felt like it was all sugar in the drinks. Loved the swings and cups though! Cant emphasize that enough.

A COOL NEW chill spot, near Star Bar! The ambience of The Cats Pajamas is similar to a South Beach, Miami, Florida, Vibe. The DJ Booth is a Lifeguard Stand! Take some Snaps/Pics on the two wave runners / jet skis. The Mens Restroom/Bathroom was very clean. I liked the Swings attached to the Bar. Great open square layout. Easy to get drinks from the bar. Also, there are two ice water drinking stations, set up at the square shaped Bar. I felt a relaxing breeze, Saturday Night, with a nice view of West Sixth, and Austins Financial District! A hip new spot on West Sixth !!!

New bar right off of west 6 near starbar. Fun atmosphere, plenty of great photo ops - and a killer frozen Marg. Actually, the frozen mojito may have been even better - I had never had one of those before. Cute swings at the bar give it a tropical feel, the dj was playing good music, the lights and general vibe was cool. Will definitely only get more popular from here on out - open til 2am weekends!
