I came in yesterday 9/17/24 with a couple of friends. We had ordered some drinks and one friend asked for fried pickles and a menu. We had Christy as our server. I had scanned the QR code and clicked the wrong button when looking at their menu. My friends and I were laughing about it when Christy came back to the table and I said yeah the QR thing isn t working and I can t figure it out to see the food. He gave me a dirty look and said don t need a menu. And we said yeah. Well before he goes to get a menu he gets a complete attitude with me and starts asking if I m okay. I m like yeah, I m just ditsy normally and me and my friends laugh. He gets more rude and asks again if I m okay. So I get serious and I m like yeah I m good I just can t figure out the mobile menu. This waiter proceeds to tell me I m rude and me and my friends are taken aback and confused. So I apologized to him as that was never my intention and he went and grabbed our menu and brought it back. Kristy then proceeds to the counter and is talking crap to someone else and then promptly switches with another waiter. Which honestly we were thankful for and he was SOOO much better than the first. One of my friends with me only was drinking water and eating fried pickles and Jalepenos. She had to throw up and some waitress was in the stall next to hers. The waitress comes out and asks if she s okay and then leaves the restroom she absolutely did not wash her hands AT ALL! Like ick. We come out and she s telling our waiter about my friend throwing up. It s like tf? Clearly our waiter let it go she was only drinking water. Well me and one friend leave due to other obligations and one stayed behind. Kristy proceeded to run their mouth about me being rude to other people in this establishment. My friend confronted Kristy telling them that I clearly wasn t and maybe he was just having a bad day. The waiter that was helping the three of us after Kristy provided horrible service told my friend not to worry about Kristy that they get like that. I ve been to this establishment before and have never had such crappy service from the wait staff. The food was great and the drinks were but the 2 wait staff that clearly had issues was absolutely despicable.

Great happy hour specials on drinks. Hard to come by these prices nowadays. However, no happy hour food prices. The look, feel, vibe of the place gives good dive bar feels. Great outdoor section if its not hot as hell outside. Food was not great, but all I had were appetizers to share. Got chips and queso and salsa, cheese curds, fried pickles, cheese fries. Cheese curds were barely anything so not worth the cost. Not enough chips served with the queso, which seems like it was from a can. Fried pickles were soggy. Seems like all good food reviews are about entrees generally. Would avoid the appetizers bc portions were minimal or mismatched. Service was...weird. Started off good, but then got asked to close out tab at shift change during which time the waiter auto-selected a 22% tip for me as if I didnt see them do it. Then later realized by closing our tab, the new waiter left us mostly unattended bc most of us already paid out. I felt tricked and annoyed about these actions by the end. Parking: Parking lot in the back. Plenty of spots during day, can get harder after 6 pm.

We walked in last night and I was immediately greeted by Sean throwing compliments to my jersey. Once we sat down it just so happened that he was our server as well. Sean was extremely friendly and helpful. Recommend great food, modifications to the food, and gave us great conversation. We started with cheese curds and Sean recommended throw some different spices on there. I got the chicken wings and they were huge. Perfect crisp to it. My girlfriend got a Chicago dog and that was tasty. We ordered a side of cheese fries and I was not expecting them to be that big of a portion. Overall great experience. Would definitely stop by again.

Best wings iv ever had!!!! We left after having some drinks, an appetizer, and one half pound of bone in all flats wings . Came back after walking next door to shop at Cindy s .. to order a pound of wings. We tried the hot chipotle which was our favorite and also the garlic buffalo. If you guys want good traditional bone in wings come here!!!! They also have a daily happy hour- large selection of beers- and a few good cocktails.

Food is good but this place is very hit or miss when it comes to actually receiving your order. I ve never been to the physical location, but I place my orders through Uber eats or Postmates. Half the time I wait for my order only to find out it s been canceled 30 minutes to an hour later. This has happened on numerous occasions and twice today. If they aren t taking online orders they need to shut it down during those hours so people can t place orders, otherwise customers will think their order is coming and spend their whole lunch break waiting for food that will never come. I followed up with a call to see what was going on with my order and they immediately hung up on me. My wife and I order from this place about once a week because we like their chicken wraps, but their service is terrible and misleading. Don t hang up on customers before they can even finish their sentence. Literally all I said was Hi is this Black Sheep lodge? And then I was hung up on. Over the last few months Black Sheep Lodge has randomly been canceling our orders. I d say it has happened at least 10 times in that span. And our orders are always over $50. That s at least $500 they ve missed out on by randomly canceling our orders with no explanation. Not to mention all the time my family and I wasted waiting for our dinner/lunch. Please get it together and fix your ordering system so that people get the orders that they place. This is getting ridiculous.

The staff is amazing and always working hard to make the guests happy and it definitely can get hectic there with all the people and sporting events; but they do an amazing job! One of my top 10 bars in Austin, definitely the best bar on South Lamar , and top 5 in my option in South Austin. Food menu will surprise you that they have so many great options, please check it out.. it s a genuine spot for people who want to experience a true authentic experience in a bar in Austin! Plus the patrons there are always welcoming and friendly!!!

Such a good Austin dive bar! I love the vibe, be warned all the servers are really bad and very salty and with the exception of Hunter who is incredible, and honestly cares about the service you get! if he is there make sure you re in his section and you ll have a great time and enjoy his hospitality! I was recommended to try the chicken bacon sandwich, but I opted for a hot dog instead. It wasn t amazing, but it wasn t bad either. If you re a hot dog fan, it s worth a try if you re in the area. However, I wouldn t make a special trip just for the hot dogs, though other items on the menu might be more enticing. The atmosphere is lively and a bit loud, with a bustling vibe that feels more like nighttime even during the day. The restaurant offers a few games to play, which adds a fun element to the experience. There s also plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax and enjoy either your afternoon or evening.

We were tired of driving from our 3 day weekend stay in Austin and found this place as a walking distance option for us on the last night of our stay. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and polite. Food was great and they had a great local beer option (Zilker Brewing) I hadnt had the chance to try yet. We sat outside and were very comfortable with the shade and misters provided since it probably would have been unbearably warm otherwise. They had multiple tvs outside which allowed us to watch the Rangers and Mavericks while we ate. Inside was more of a true sports bar feel which I think would be perfect for those looking for a friendly but lively place to drink, watch sports, sing karaoke, play trivia etc. Outside was perfect for us with our toddler and we didnt feel out of place. Overall great experience! Vegetarian options: They had a Beyond Burger option that was customizable

On initial impressions when walking and going to the bar I got just stared at by a barback and then he just turned and walked away without a word. I had no idea where to sit or how to order. My server who had hair on the shorter side was the only service I received she seemed to running the floor. Everyone else seemed annoyed to be at work. Idk maybe its just the vibe of the place but damn. Doesnt feel very friendly to a local born and raised Austinite. I work on south Lamar and live here. Food was AMAZING THOUGH!!! Me, my husband, his brother and wife went in one evening not our first time at all but my sister in law had on a onesie wasn t really dressed for happy hour oh well. Took the wait staff 15 minutes to even come to our table, she wasn t attentive at all the tab was only 146 we were prepared to still tip her as we realize everyone has a bad day and then the manager, a short blonde haired Caucasian guy walks up and says the waitress doesn t want to serve us she is scared!!! We all looked in shock cause again not our first time going here spending well over 150 each time and all of a sudden they scared of four black people oh ok so our natural reaction was to tell the manager off in which we did he proceeds to say that they can t be racist they are mixed GTFOH!!!!! Oh to top it off one of their regulars was trying to defend them and got told off!!! Maybe for some people this place decent not us ever again and we have sought legal actions through our attorney for discrimination hopefully they know better next time

What used to be a great place to watch football games for the past 3 years has turned into a nightmare. Service has gone downhill significantly but listening to management cuss out your friends is uncalled for. Something so simple turned into a female manager storming out, cussing, and refusing to acknowledge the unprofessionalism she was displaying to everyone. I along with numerous people watched this and will not be back. I know a few people not coming back wont impact them but think twice before going here. It is met with speaking to you with anger and frustration.

Pretty nice spot to watch some games. The servers were nice and put on the game we requested as transplants. I appreciate how nice they were even though they were totally swamped. The chicken tenders, tots, and onion rings were quite good. I got the roasted garlic buffalo sauce for dipping and it was really tasty. They also have an excellent beer selection. Only downside is that a lot of the tables dont have an awesome view of the TVs.

Love it, great little neighborhood bar, friendly. Hip, local, goodness. The food is delicious. The wings are $9.50 for half a pound (3-4 wings) which is too expensive, this item should be cheaper. The burgers are awesome and at a better price point. They have a different drink special every day of the week, including the weekends, which is rare but good. The waitresses all wear skimpy outfits, its pretty sexy. Not quite like a Hooters, but not that different.

Second time here, my goodness the food is still amazing! It s a dive bar with great food, great alcohol selections, great prices, TVs everywhere to watch sports, outdoor covered seating with TVs outside, pool tables, darts, and great service. Came here with my friends. You have to try the Nashville Dry Rub on your chicken. It has a nice kick, and the honey brings in a nice sweetness. Onion Rings are really crispy. The wings are crispy and perfectly sauced. Fries were great too! They loved it here as well. This is a MUST visit.

Absolute favorite place in all of Austin. One of the few places left that has a true south Austin vibe. Burgers and wings are fantastic. Other bar food is great too. Great patio and awesome daily drink specials.

DO NOT GO. THEY are the absolute worst place in this city. Go anywhere other than here. They treat their customers horribly, their bartender is always screaming at every customer. I have personally seen multiple of their wait staff sit down with customers to flirt and go home with said customers.

It is a very relaxed atmosphere loved it !! Our waitress Christian, was so attentive, and what can I say about the búfalo Burger !!!! Was solo tasty !!! Last but not least, the drinks.....we had a margarita and a mimosa.....maaaan kudos to the bartender!!! Thank you!!!

I loved my recent visit to Black Sheep Lodge! A friend and I enjoyed a lovely conversation at one of the outdoor tables. The music was great, our server was attentive and such a sweetheart. This place is the epitome of a real Austin experience! My sparkling Rain Water was served ice cold, complementing a gorgeous Spring evening.
