CELEBRATING THE VISUAL ARTS & ARTISTS Since 2005, Austin City Hall has been an annual showcase for works by Austin artists and arts organizations. The People's Gallery reflects the artistic excellence and diversity of Austin. It also promotes the City of Austin’s cultural and economic initiatives. Thank you to all the artists, galleries and collectors who generously loan their art. We welcome you to visit the People's Gallery. Over 140 artworks are displayed throughout City Hall for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.

Great way to promote local artists. Wonderful experience. Everyone in City hall was so welcoming. There are some back of house areas on the second floor they will let you tour. Cool art. Every city hall should do this. Side note: the building is pretty cool, great interior and exterior spaces.

Having a three-story art gallery inside our city hall makes the point that Art is a central pillar of our community. It is interesting, thoughtfully curated, and changes regularly.

They have some wonderful pieces in there, I wish they would do a more thorough background on them though (some of them are copy cats and prints). However, the diversity and talent in Austins locals is undeniable.
